Last time I spoke to my contact he said 2.1/2 weeks to prepare for AGM. Plus 3 weeks notice makes it 20 November or so....
Getting frustrated here ATM
Yes, can't wait to see resolutions they want to pass. I suspect from the mood here, that PI won't be tipping anything in favour of management. Fireworks!
never underestimate the Solg boards never ending ability to disappoint and under achieve
Thanks DBW, I have little faith in the management unfortunately, but I cannot see how they can let the rest of this year drift away without either appointing a CEO, issuing the PFS (let alone something on the other sites), or explaining what the hell is going on.
Lol I think they might have their work cut out this year Woody
On the basis that Fawzi told me the notice of AGM will be issued in November, which requires 21 days notice, this suggests the notice will be issued in the next three weeks to facilitate the AGM in the week commencing 13th December. I would therefore expect some other updates within the next three weeks for the Board to try and get disgruntled voters onside.
Jezoo stop being a sheep then and giving them “your” money more like. Main point I’m making is much more patience needed or you know what… we’ll all be rich angry bb posters one day
Jezzoo - the imbecile is incapable of constructive thought. Everyone sees him for what he is......a half wit with a very limited vocabulary. Ignore him...he is backround interference .. a bit like what you get when tuning a radio on AM!

Anyone who invests in an explorer is taking a punt. Therefore, any investor on here, who held Solg shares prior to the big hit in Ecuador (think it was hole 5 in Cascabel, but please correct me if wrong .... whichever hole it was, it was around 10 years ago) was both excited, and delighted, to have seen their initial analysis proven correct, and thought they would see some pretty rapid profits. To be fair..... they did. But only if they sold on the SP rise that hole initiated. If.... like me.... you were of the mind that this was potentially that once in a lifetime stellar opportunity to really make some serious money, you didn’t sell. You held, because if, like me, you were prepared to hold for the longer term ( I.e until a major bought us out, or the copper and gold started coming out of the ground) there were much greater profits to be made. However.... since that stellar drilled hole, this whole thing has been a complete cluster Fock. Badly managed, and the only people making money here are the well paid board. Don’t get me wrong. I’m holding until the end game here. Doesn’t mean I’m happy about it.
Novicehunter: ""sell up and F off."
Why the hell should I ? Looking back over the last posts I seem to have more support than your opinion.
Why should I sell up when I think the Sp should be much higher but isn't ?
Stop being a sheep and accepting the poor performance of this company, they are happy to take your money !
Many thanks snowman - quite a possibility then as David said ….
It has been delayed into the following year in the past. See table below showing the date of the AGM for each financial year since 2015. But hopefully it will still be held this year.
FY2015 28.1.2016
FY2016 28.7.2017
FY2017 30.1.2018
FY2018 20.12.2018
FY2019 20.9.2019
FY2020 17.12.2020
Hi David can an AGM be delayed into the following year?
Someone asked earlier if the company ever reads this page. Yes, Fawzi does. Whether the comments get fed back is another matter.
DBW.... Well said. Novice its not as if thia is a divi paying stock where people can wait and have patience... even a Saint would be vexed by now. Can you imagine the price if AGM brings up something like last year and the PFS sees no reaction as most here expect... forget 25s, we'll likely be seeing 20s. I suspect a lot here are waiting for those two catalyst to decide on future of holding this stock.
No date yet set for the AGM. The share price will need to improve before it is held as I can see problems - and not just from private investors. I see NM as a problem for any new CEO, hence the problems with appointing someone.. It wouldn’t surprise me if the AGM was held in 2022 to allow some time to get this and other matters sorted to allow a more peaceful meeting.
Novice…. I agree but it doesn’t excuse the shoddy nature in which investors are being treated.
I continue to hold and may even top up but it’s poor… hopefully they’ll put all doubts to rest before too long mate
Couldn’t agree more Novice. But the BoD still needs its feet holding to the fire for all the inaction and untruths peddled since NM stepped down.
Strategy of money makers is slowly working here. People holding need much more patience unfortunately but if you’re holding on d day you will surely be very rich!!! Ignore all the nonsense posts solgold as an entity doesn’t owe us anything if you’re not happy with current position or direction sell up and F off. Put your money into Lloyds or voda
Jezzoo -it could be worse -you could have invested in conroy gold and their idea of looking for gold for the last 20years is with a bucket and space and a childs one at that - a bit more patience with Solg to the end of the year and we will know whether the patience was worthwhile or not
Halifax had it at 26:10 to buy at the moment
I’ll be adding myself at that level if/when it gets there …… an opportunity yet also a poor reflection on Solgold and their PR skills
Rich3r,
Yep below 26 I mentioned, 25 would be even better mate
Atb
Hi Dan, yes it’s strange behaviour ahead of the AGM. Lessons learnt from last year?? Hmm ……
But perhaps the news flow will start soon - we can but hope :)
