Spot on Barry and as I previously pointed out Hervas is a left wing candidate so possibly more likely he and his supporters will get behind Arauz which could see his share of the vote getting towards the magic 50% mark so for me Arauz is very much the front runner but either way I don’t think it would matter as both he and Lasso are pro mining and getting Ecuador back on its feet financially so whoever wins the election will need as much revenue as possible from any and all sectors including mining!

Above is the link to official results of the election. Javier Hervas got over 15% of the vote and all others collected over 15% of the vote. So the fear mongering that either candidate has to run cap in hand to Perez is false IMO. Both candidates have supported mining and will continue to do so. Also my own opinion.
Here’s to hoping April and onwards sees a nice rebound for all.
ATB Barry
That is what usually happens though FTJNY. People change their view and buy/sell accordingly.
It's for everyone here to know the history, the potential, the risks and the macro.
Look guys, folks always say something ,positive or negative (free speech....)so they say....why bother analysing and dwelling???? Of course we all got hidden or clear agenda, as such keep an open mind and make your personal choice as what information you take seriously...
Enjoy the weekend. :-)
Bozi - Agree that transparency is always to be applauded but my post was indirectly aimed at ColonelDrake who has a track record of ramping when he’s bought into Solg and deramping when he’s out! It’s patently clear to me and others on this board that he is currently out and therefore his posts are either overtly negative or quite cleverly obtuse but with a subtle negative undertone. But just to be clear nothing wrong with posting about topics which may impact adversely on Solg which could be helpful to other investors but I won’t put up with someone who is doing this because they are out and would like the SP to drop so they can feather their own self serving nest! Sadly CD is one of these people and as I pointed out previously just wait a while until he’s bought back in and watch the tone of his posts do a 100% U turn! Someone who I previously respected but not anymore and now in my trash can with all the other disingenuous self serving low life’s
FTJNY - Transparency shouldn't be ridiculed. It should be welcomed.
I remain very much invested in SOLG and have no issue with the extract highlighted. I think it's a very plausible and one thing i have both eyes on at the moment. Both of the final candidates are competing for votes and with that comes political bartering.
Max exactly
Haha spot on DBW. Take it that the Colonel is still up to his old tricks? It will be as clear as day when he’s back in and on full throttle ramp mode again! So transparent it’s laughable
Well even if Lasso will have a chance (very small chance....) to be elected, being an ex banker surely he knows exactly which side of the bread his butter spread....a struggling economy like in Ecuador will not be in any position to overlook and miss a massive opportunity to create and support long term huge income that would be coming their way by being mining friendly country....IMHO.
“ Both Arauz and Lasso highlighted the importance of mine investments to stabilize the country’s struggling finances and have committed to support mine investment to help finance their programs if elected”
But on the whole fairly positive Colonel ...... unless of course one was simply looking for negatives?
