If I'd been smart enough to get into GGP a few months back I'd be delighted to be spreading the profits around and into SOLG. Well done to Earthling and others who got in there before recent stellar rise.
Or better still add the GGP funds into SHG which is likely to gift a decent 10%+ yield divi next year plus 50% upside looks very likely with exploration drilling on West Kenya (12g grades per tonne!!) set to start in November.
yes, I've double here, but clearly we have huge potential and I am in the camp of believing we will be bought this year for a much higher price than we are now.
As for GGP, I believe there is more to come there but done very well as many others have also.
I agree that many on here spout the same nonsense without accepting that in terms of regional exploration results, the fact is we have done very little this year and last year. As an explorer I just don't think thats good enough and I am entitled to that opinion.
Selling SOLG now and putting the funds into GGP (at all time highs based on mktcap) seems a bit naive at best. SOLG is entering the last month till BHP's lock in release along with PFS and Exploration news. Sure, GGP has done well (much better than I thought possible based on 15% stake) and there might be more upside ahead. I personally feel the idea of SOLG moving from 26p to 52p (doubling) is more likely than GGP moving from 20p to 40p. I would also suggest that SOLG is on their low curve ahead of rerate on news whereas GGP is on the toppy high curve and due a breather. The smart investor move would be to top slice GGP and add the funds into SOLG.
earthling - i like your posts these days! Makes a change eh? You feel frustrated, as do I, as do many on here who believe time is money. However, I didn't realise you had this much skin in the game and were still unhappy. I'm barely breaking even here (as you know but refuse to believe) and this is my reason for ****ging NM off for lack of progress, but if I had doubled my money, I would have left long long ago. Why then do you still wish to remain with this sleeping giant and suffer the bo - ll ox you get from the same old boring posters? I notice you are on GGP too, as am I. Offloading your profits here, into there would obliterate any risk of falling profits, surely? [PS: What a great time to be in GGP currently eh, especially if rumours are true about tonight???}
Standstill comes to an end Mid Oct....the uplift in SOLG coverage in the last month or so and the blitz of presentations, new broker note from Merrill (BOA) and CGP's actions point to a more buoyant next few months...expectations are building
Jerry is not a deramper. he has a valid opinion. Earthling, going to go back to not answering your posts, as you deny facts and evidence, we don't get updates, just because you want one, that is just silly. Know why you are invested.
If you are long term then as you are clearly getting high blood pressure and possibly ulcers with your about turn in the faith you had in your investment from years ago, then if your mind has changed, why are you still here.
Did you think when you invested that a mine would be up and running immediately, when you initially invested we didn't have the other 72 tenements... or did you invest at a peak when we were Solomon Gold and the Solomon Islands rush boosted the SP.
I'm disappointed at reading your woe is me comments when for years you have been relatively positive
I believe in the last webinar, NM confirmed that the water disposal/management permit required for Rio had been circumnavigated. Basically, they have found another way around it which means that drilling can commence now on Rio and they were actively pursuing this now.
I thought that was probably the most important news out of the webinar. Rio is now a goer. Perhaps that's the final straw for BHP or NCM? They really don't want to be paying SOLG shareholders for Rio should a discovery arrive if they can get it for free pre discovery.
Just look at GGP. It's exploration. Yes it's in another country. But just look at how £200m can be added based on exploration results in matter of days.
NCM and BHP really don't want to be chasing a euphoria story across SOLG's Rio, Porvenir and Heuca. They could end up paying 3 x BoA's 83p price which is based on Alpala only.
when you say " the only time drilling was stopped, was to get Covid19 measures in to protect workers", this is not the case, clearly!
I have my opinions on progress or lack of it, and you have yours. DO the maths re regional drilling, how long its taken and work out how long it will be at current rate that we get to explore 13 targets.
I stand by my point, I am a long term investor with a hefty amount, I want us to do well, however the regional drilling is anyones guess until very recently. Thats just not good enough for an explorer.
I'm glad you guys are happy, its your money, I'm very glad I've had several others which have got between 200 and 800% whilst you've been happy here with your drilling updates over the last 2 years, arguing day in day out about why you think we are going to production.
Our SP speaks for itself does it not?
I'll leave you with your opinion on progress whilst I live in reality .
I obviously wish everyone well here, including myself.
10,749 deaths in Ecuador since Feb 15th, and still climbing.
Think there was more important priorities, plus there was the constitutional court fiasco last year.
You say no drilling for 2 years ! Drills are turning ! Update from April last year...
189,984m of diamond drilling comprising 168 drill holes completed to-date on the Alpala Deposit, representing a further 56,408m of drilling completed since release of MRE#2 with 6,654m of recent drilling with assay results pending..
Now it is obvious further drilling was conducted as it increased the size of the project through the MRE3.
The company does not need to update on assays, if it were the case we would have a news release every day.
