Seanhunter you are the only person telling lies and spreading misinformation.
1=) The company has never stated Alpala or Cascabel is up for sale.
2=) They have stated many times ( although not recently ) that we are going to production.
3=) We are undergoing a strategic review to advance Cascabel and look at the company's options.
4=) Yesterday SP Angel put out a broker note stating a faster route to production and we are continuing studies at Alpala.
5=) We just raised 50 million for exclusive use on Cascabel and that fits in with the SP Angel announcement.
6=) We now have 100% of ENSA and thus funding is now easier and cheaper than before.
7=) When Ingo was on board he announced that we had a billion of funding ready to go.
The situation today is easier to fund.
You not only sound desperate but uninformed.
Lastly if you are deluded enough to think a bid is imminent you have to explain why the wider market says you are wrong. Just look at the share price as it's not indicative of a bid anytime in the near future.
Its been enjoyable watching Sean's frustration.
If SOLG say they are going into production I'll eat humble pie and shut up permanently. And sell up.
But the events of the past 2 months- the merger and the AGM have confirmed that we are not going into production nor are we looking for a JV. We are going for a sale.
Those in denial about this - or who are simply obsessed with disrupting this board and talking about things which 100% contradict what a director has told us in interviews - are clearly determined to keep banging on about production, or yapping on about other shares which have NOTHING to do with us. Every time I look on here someone else is trying to derail the discussion. They are in complete denial about how things have fundamentally changed and spreading misinformation which contradicts what the company directors have clearly told us.
Some of you LTHs have turned viciously against his share - I suppose you wanted an endless cycle of drilling, dilution, drilling, dilution... but those days are gone. We are finally in the hands of some hungry people who want to make the shareholders some money.
That's fine then Sean. I won't expect to hear from you claiming such mammoth surprise in the event that SolGold are going to continue developing Cascabel.
Not likely.
Bozi it has NOTHING to do with us. Period.
SP should have been in 20s
Sean - I've been less than complimentary despite holding the shares, as is my right.
You should either take no notice of views you don't like or challenge them in a constructive way.
The choice is yours.
Sean - there's no physical connection between the companies but there's a fundamental connection, so yes it is relevant.
We'll done for getting the conversation cancelled though despite berating Quady since day dot for doing the same. Hypocritical much?
All SOLG shareholders should be acutely aware of what happened at LND yesterday. It's the undesirable outcome of a strategic review.
All your punters like Sean bet the takeover and they get roasted.
Lets hope that does not happen with SOLG.
TheItalian, that is quite the cynical take! If that were the case Bob Sangha will have destroyed his credibility and reputation and no one would trust a thing he had to say again. I think the very public nature of this takeover and the PR campaign that ran along side it is a sign of confidence of monetization rather than empty bluster.
DinnerMoney, Bozi - thanks for your responses. Glad I'm not going mad.
Bozi you've been bashing this share for months now. Time to move on and give yourself some respite I think.
LND has sweet fanny adams to do with SOLG. If you want to discuss LND - whatever your agenda, I can guess what it is - there is an LND board for that.
Off topic - that's why it was removed.
Given the difficult history between SOLG and CGP, at some point the sharks at CGP have seen a tiny window of opportunity to take control of the company, even without a clear exit plan. They have used all the right words to make everyone believe that they are stepping in to make money smart and fast for all of us, but all they have done is for themselves, take control of the company while they figure out what to do with it.
No production, no exploration, no DFS, no comms, an issuance gifted to the Chinese for nothing.
It absolutely fits with everything we have observed and the market (non) reaction.
Not happy about it, but likely imho
ToS
I’ve been adding as much as I can in recent weeks for the same reason…. There’s always a level of risk but the near term upside here has never been more real.
Scrat - saw it being recorded at Sunderland some years ago when Humph (superb) and TB-T were still going strong. As always laughed fit to burst - and Samantha was as lovely as I'd always thought she would be!
Ok, despite years of grumpy old man moaning on here about the stagnant SP, and lack of clear information from the company..... I have today added to my holding. My reasoning is a bit complex, but here goes....
I held a chunk of both DLG and RCH which I took a bath on earlier this week. I decided to exit those rather than wait for a recovery. I’ve left most (75%) of the freed up funds as cash, but stuck the rest in here.
I have held here for so long, and genuine believe 2023 will see the end game here, so after 12 long years, might as well try to maximise any return, should I be proven correct. Be warned, I have a history of mistiming Solg purchases!
"Subject to obtaining all required approvals and the satisfaction or waiver of all required conditions to closing, the Arrangement is expected to close in late January 2023."
And then bring on the bidding war...
Right everyone that's that ,onto next subject please solgold
… Simply the best radio quiz imho, which despite everyone’s best efforts in this chat room looks set fair to retain its crown.
Spot on SM.
It has quite a viable comparison with SOLG actually Sean.
You just don't want to consider it...
Christ, what is wrong with some of you? First Fort jumping down my throat on the LDN thread which I strongly caveated with "this is an apples and oranges comparison" and now this from you Sean, who has spent the last 24 hours posting useless and inane cr*p about getting Quady removed from this BB.
To suggest that there is no similarity at all between LND and SOLG is ludicrous - both are mining companies who are undergoing or have completed strategic reviews. Both have a retail shareholder base who for a long time have been saying that a takeover is nailed on. I posted the link last night to show people what an example output of a strategic review could look like. addicknt's response was the only one that was remotely reasonable - one of the few people left on here with his head screwed on.
LND issues can be discussed on the LND board. The company has no connection, no link, and no comparison to SOLG whatsoever.
addicknt, not that I saw, admin must have decided it wasn't appropriate, which is laughable given half of the sh*te posted on here.
happened to SM's post about the LND situation? Did the thread get out of hand?
SM, I think you've hit the nail on the head. Confusion has been caused by the ambiguity of the various statements released via different sources, with question arising; what exactly does 'advancing and de-risking Cascabel' actually mean?
As you point out, there's an inherent contradiction in stating that the various on-going work is designed to advance the project, but somehow has led to a delay in the production of the DFS. Does this suggest the previous work was incorrect, or sub-optimal....again? Is the work supplemental and complementary, or is it a complete re-think...again?
From the moment this was announced I was scratching my head wondering what it really meant and I confess I'm none the wiser now. I think to release a statement saying the DFS is being delayed without explaining why, was a classic piece of Solgold obfuscation; which is a pity.
