Orthern, very good! Trump takes the stage at PDAC.
Quady, who knows? And that's where the ambiguity lies.
To quote a certain blond haired buffoon, is Cascabel 'oven-ready', or is there still a lot of work to do before we market the asset? Or are we already marketing the asset as the SR suggest?
Anyway, I take it you now accept we won't be taking this to production ourselves?
He stood up there and basically spoke for 15 minutes without actually saying anything. Like listening to a footballer being interviewed.
“Essentially, things are great now… gee guys, we are now focused, so so focused… we are now more efficient, and we are going to things better… things are gonna be better.. more efficient… we’ve got a great team.. the lads back there, they are just swell… and there’s Nick… he found it…. Great guy…. We have lots of regionals… lots of em.. and we are getting more efficient, we are gonna do things better… and biggly.. thanks for listening to my presentation”
Looks like the bid is a pipe dream it's been pumped and dumped again....10p beckons....
Good morning addicknt, I have for some time believed we keep going. So to me looks like next step is DFS.
I think this fits in with everything I heard.
After all, we redid the PFS in a format that could be enveloped into the DFS making the DFS cheaper.

Novice, I don't see it quite that way. I feel the broad strategy is now clear, but the tactics are not.
Exactly add, absolutely nothing new here, lots of dewy eyed posters adding 1 and1 and making 3 lolzzz. Like i said you could have stuck Nicks head on his shoulders and pressed play from 3 or 4 years ago, wink wink
Well based on that lacklustre presentation with no "new" news to speak of, this will drip drip drip down to single figures over the next 6 months... wouldn't be surprised to see it at 8 to 9p.
Have a great day all, especially you tiny ;)) xxx
1. We have 'sufficient information on Cascabel'. For what?
2. We will 'advance' Cascabel'. In the context of us not being 'mine builders', what does this actually mean?
3. 'We have enough in-house skills' to advance the project. This comes back to the question of the meaning of 'advance'. Do we really have enough to develop a DFS, because I'm not sure we do? Or has this now been kicked firmly into the long grass?
It was very good to hear Caldwell admit what we've already known for a very long time, but the presentation has left us with several areas of confusion, and I'm guessing some of the people in the audience may have felt the same way.
I also wonder how his statements will go down in Quito. Only last week the Minister was saying we will start construction next year, whereas it's patently obvious we will not - at least not under our ownership. Has this message been communicated to the government? Or will it come as an unpleasant surprise? Politicians don't like being made to look stupid - they can do that all by themselves- so have we run the risk of upsetting the applecart?
I enjoyed the presentation and it's extremely comforting to know we have a CEO who's rowing in the same direction, but let's not kid ourselves, there's a level of ambiguity which makes things confusing...again.
Difficult to really say of course, and Scott's confidence must probably be discounted a bit. My main takeaway is that hopefully there is enough focus and drive to try and monetize Cascabel in the next 12 months, but you can tell that the SR will revolve a lot around what to do with the other tenements. Overall it came across as a multi year proposition. The question remains, can we at least get some joy in the short to medium term?
"This will deliver but at the moment the carrots are on a very long bungee rope! More patience I fear possibly 4 to 5 more years"
Yesterday morning it was strong buy and 20p by 9am and then hours later its a hold and fearing 4 to 5 years later. Making a fool of himself as usual.
Cheers Pad,
Was lookin for this vid all day yesterday but they wouldnt release it.
Anyways - great stuff
Comes across v competent and assured as a CEO should.........
NOT building mines lols - reiterated again - NOT building a mine
Well couldnt be any clearer than that could he eh?

Personally Novice, I think he was much better than Nick from a presentation perspective... nick always seemed to lack energy.
Agree nothing majorly new from a discovery or update perspective but he gave a better overview of the company as a whole I think
Key points I took from presentation
- interim CEO has 19million shares, invested since 2016 so has skin in the game (yes he also got shares as options but fantastic that he has purchased himself previously)
- states twice' we are mine finders not mine builders'
- confident and gave a 360 view of company, tenanaments, CSR
- gave confidence that he and others attach significant value to the likes of Porvenire
- repeated several times Ecuador are issuing no more tenaments so if you don't have one, your not going to get one... This bodes well for some value to be attributed to the 70+ tenaments also
Overall I was impressed and more than happy with my investment overall..... Just (like everybody) getting a bit impatient as to when jam tomorrow actually is!!!
Yada yada yada replace Scott with Mathers let's say about 4 years ago and he was saying verbatim the self same thing and yet here we all are I exactly the same position we're pretty much at the turn of the decade. This will deliver but at the moment the carrots are on a very long bungee rope! More patience I fear possibly 4 to 5 more years

You can see the full presentation for today on the SOLG website. It's slightly different to the pre PDAC with emphasis fully on Ecuador as you'd expect for PDAC Ecuador day.
This is the pre pdac show
Anyone know what was presented today as equador day
At pdac
It depends on your perspective Add. One would hope that was a strategic play. In fact, we were told it was right from the very start.

He didn't have to say he had limited contact with chinese, but he did. I took that as sending a message that he's currently not the one doing the negotiations which we know is down to Maxit and Bob et al. It also smartly negates the need to update the market that we are in extended talks etc etc etc. Just an observation but I think he was trying to make sure that SOLG do not break any rules. Remember, BoD's have a duty to inform the market on many issues of shareholder importance.
And lest face it... he's hardly going to say .... I've built a strong relationship with chinese and they are very keen .... is he??
SM, the fact we had too many tenements was never in doubt. It was simply a question of how long it took for the company to acknowledge the fact.
Was surprised to hear him say he's had "limited contact" with Jiangxi since they came on board as investors. Pours water on my hopes that they were going to be taking Cascabel off our hands.
Agree with Orthern that he was a bit fluffy around exploration - that slide with the 5 priority targets had clearly been knocked up pretty quickly (as had the Corporate Update slide at the start) and he said they might change over time.
On the whole though he seems like he means business. It feels like the 70-80 tenements we hold are too many for us to explore/manage by ourselves. With the mining cadastre closed off, it shouldn't be too hard for us to find partners to start exploring some of them alongside us.
Going to production malarkey been put to rest - remove it from all literatures - end game is nearer than ever before / ambiguity removed. Going to production my a*se!

Otherness the point is that it hasn't been said publicly by our CEO before. As such it's a big deal.
The difference for me, was his background and confidence
