Sp didn't drop with the usual Friday afternoon sellers. Yet it drops this morning with some decent trades going on. Another tree shake going on this morning like last week ?
I should add that I assume Caldwell and Mather will be keeping very much involved in the process.
Eish, by definition it is behind closed doors - it's very price sensitive. As to timing, they are examining a wide range of options, many of which are very complex, so it will take a fair while. Mind you, they've been at it since last September at least, so they must be a long way down the track. Personally, I think we'll hear something before the publicly stated end of H1 , but they've given themselves plenty of leeway, which, given our track record, is sensible.
Novice you might be right there looking good
addicknt and Bm3121. Surely this all points to a deal having been reached in principal with a buyer or a multiple possible buyers, behind closed doors? Just a question of how the spoils will be divided up, imho. Hopefully, we the bottom feeders, will hear soon?
bm3121, the simple answer is Maxit, Citi and the process is being overseen by Vujcic. But you make a good point about how few people are now currently employed - which is no bad thing.
Leave the making money part to MR little novice.
Cheers.
Looks like we're off to the races with a lot of catching up to do this week...
20p + by 9. Have a great week all xxx squeezed in a few more thousand early doors, you know it makes sense Rodney
With so many resignations and vacancies in recent months I wonder who within SOLG management/Directors is/are actually formulating the 'Strategic Review Process' and any and all the other reviews we have been led to believe were due months ago and perhaps are coming. Most of remaining senior people are performing their roles on a part time basis. Mather is a prime example with about at least 8 senior director roles in other companies. Our current CEO has also a number of positions else where and our CFO likewise Being paid very handsomely on many fronts. Then quite a few of the long term managers are now only ADVISORS to the company. So who is/ are doing these reviews? What expertise do they have? With so many things overdue and simply not done who prioritizes which ones will be completed first. No wonder our share value is being plundered.
Jerry... ditto
With regards to SOLG, don’t worry, it’s all in hand.
Fact based and insightful, 2 hours well spent:

Good evening Colonel. Actually I do think NM want copper if I have heard their ceo correctly. But there is just so much that they will need to do Alpala will come at a bad time. Two years time it might be different but I don’t think anyone wants to wait that long.
With regards to havieron, don’t worry, it’s all in hand.
Poss hit 20p resistance?
Fort, as a GGP investor that scenario is one I'd be very happy to see play out. I reckon Wyloo would snap up the 70% of Hav in a heartbeat and be a much friendlier JV partner given their existing stake in GGP.
Apologies for off topic.
Jerry... if NM get NCM, they might get shot of Haverion stake too. Not sure whether NM want to acquire copper assets but most miners seem keen on what should be the hottest metal around in a few years as shortage looms. They might prefer to retain some copper exposure and reduce on small mines like Haverion.
1/2 for me. That's bad enough.
Monte - it's all fair game as long as nobody takes it too far. You admit that yourself. I think that's a good place to leave it.
You're entitled to stick to your opinion on value destruction, but that's all it is. It's not backed up by any facts, any evidence, etc. We can revisit this retrospectively when we know the outcome of the strategic review. Rather ironically I need an auction to support my point and the opposite for yourself which kind of goes against the two strategies we've actually supported during the last few years.
Mining typo there apols dam autocorrect!!!
Exciting week ahead , isn't that the usual speech? :))
2 things you would not want to be at the moment, out of this and a Man u supporter.
