No one is preparing to buy us.
No one is looking at us, with a view to buy.
No rumours exist to that Solgold will be sold.
It is only certain individuals on here that say these things with no evidence.
Their only evidence is well we wouldn't say anything.
Well the reason we don't say anything is because there is nothing to say.
If there was, then even with a rumour the share price wouldn't be what it is now.
Let's discuss the strategic review and the way forward for Cascabel as Solgold.
That's what's happening, not any bid rubbish, which I have heard here since 2012.
It got boring years ago, it's certainly boring now.
Adickt. I will take agaus advice and leave you to believe sid contacted caldwell and mather has no influence. I realise you are blinded by the fact you are in over your head. And desperation causes irrationality.
Where is the evidence that I'm saying nothing has changed?
He snuggled up to CGP and he got rid of Cuzzubbo...
RK, are you really trying to tell me nothing has changed? Wake up!
At the time of the merger, and quite remarkably, Cornerstone were able to dictate terms, which included a strategic review and, in my opinion, the replacement of Cuzzubo with Caldwell. Such was the desire of Mather to move things forward, and his long held ambition of 100% ownership, he agreed.
The downsizing of the board, despite all the governance guff, removed his power base, but again, he agreed. My view is that Mather is fully onboard with Caldwell's/Maxit's agenda, but he is not driving that agenda - that's Caldwell's job. He wants an exit and so do they.
Until that help arrives, he’s just going to sit there and pretend he planned to stop on purpose
This bus has stalled… and the driver can’t find the gears.. he’s just sat hoping someone will come along and help…
Add Nick may not be driving the bud but he’s got one hand on the wheel
So please tell us who is driving the bus...?
The CEO is accounatble to the Board
The Board is accountable to its shareholders
'Insiders' own 52.76% of the shares...

RK, they may have 'driven' the merger, but it's what it led to that's important. And to be honest, I really don't care what happens to Mather in December - he's not the one driving the bus.
Oh dear addickt...
Mather and Twigger have driven the merger from the SOLG side
There is no way Twigger would vote against Mather
Surely between Mather and his interests and the CGP gang there are enough votes to see Mather home in December
Finally, although I've voted against him in 2021, I voted for him in 2022 because his vested interests are tied in with mine...i.e. to sell SOLG for "Market Value not Asset Value"...or as near as possible...
Mather brought Valuestone (and thereby Jiangxi) to the table in the first place.
He may have teed off BHP and NCM royally, but he must have mended fences with CGP to facilitate the merger...
Okay. I think you've had your say now 👍
Btw, I think point one is easily verifiable - NEDs don't have much influence and none of Mather's cronies sit on the board. And I happen to think Twigger will go along with whoever's in the driving seat.(Incidentally, I think Twigger's hopeless and will think twice before voting for him in December)
Point three: It's difficult to believe nothing is going to change. No, it's inconceivable that nothing will change.
Point five: In a way I agree with you, in as much as Caldwell is the representative of the Cornerstone and Maxit interests who are now in control.
Good heavens! AgArCu the peacemaker! There's a turn-up for the books.
You're right about NM, and as someone who voted against him at the fateful AGM, I hold no candle for him whatsoever. But I'm not obsessed about him and am capable of understanding how things started to change here as soon as the merger talks began with Cornerstone. Life has moved on and so should nal.
Add, NaL: I think this is one where you won't change anyone's mind.
Points 1, 3 and 5 that add makes are hard to evidence, but many will agree with him. NaL, you clearly dislike NM but there aren't many people here suggesting we start a fan club.
So shall we let it go?
Nal.
1) The balance of power has shifted decisively.
2) He has been heavily diluted and does not have the resources to stand his corner in future fund raises.
3) The company is engaged in a strategic review which will ultimately change the shape of the business.
4) Australia is almost an irrelevance as the influence has shifted to Canada and Quito.
5) Caldwell is quite clearly his own man - unlike the puppet Cuzzubbo.
I could go on, but as long as you retain your infatuation with Mather you will continue to spout total BS.
It's now got to the stage that no matter how ridiculous a post is. The likes of adickt and padmaster will defend it to the hilt, rather than admit the infesters may have a point.
And there's none as blind as them who don't want to see.
Unfortunately despite all the backing each other up, no matter how pathetic the post is. The sp is once again in the 15s. With not one iota of evidence to give us any hope
Padmaster. You really are becoming embarrassing.
Please don't show yourself up defending sid. Your credibility is pretty near non existent now. Don't make it any worse.
And adickt, I'm still waiting for you to tell me how solg are different now mathers not at the helm
Calling him a two-hat seems harsh, we don't know the poor guy...
In absence of a dedicated IR guy Chris is most likely double-hatting. Still, 400k/year saved or whatever ludicrous salary Fawzi was on before he was exited.
Cool. Sid said he emailed Scott and that 'he' replied, so I thought it was Scott who replied. But it must have been the CFO replying to the CEO's emails. 👍
Chris is probably Chris Stackhouse, Chief Finance Officer
Does Scott sign a lot of his communications as Chris? May just be a professional vs personal name thing?
I emailed Xi Jinping, and he kindly explained hat the Chinese are not going to rush in to a deal, simply because it suits people on the highly regarded LSE forum.. I was slightly impressed he knew of LSE, but they do their due diligence I guess…
Show me one thing were solg have changed since you say mather left. Perhaps the growing list of fantasists who chat to Caldwell may know.
Delusional. Hahaha
