Brisvegas, thank you and I certainly agree with your last sentence.
Ship, are you sure? It's not been billed that way and the Prospectus was quite clear.
I congratulate you addicknt for being one of the few posters that has genuine informative interest in sticking to the subject , SOLG. I enjoy your posts because you know your stuff here and elsewhere. As for the children who spoil this board for others, I wish they would take their marbles and go home, or maybe they have lost them.
Add, there is no completion date for the Sr. It is an open ended process which I think is named incorrectly.
Would be interested to get the chief fantasists take. Like fort, he often listed BR amongst a group of big investors who were 'proof' that solg was a sure thing, and that any doubts were unfounded. Along the lines of 'you may not think there will be any CA for ages but clearly BHP, NCM, BR etc think differently'. So does BR leaving mean we should be worried?
He's probably somewhere counting his wife's millions of apple shares and surviving his 7th fictional illness of the last 12 months.
I also got the big right about you being a brainless ramper, didn't I? Or do you have anything to back up your oft-repeated claim of good news coming soon? I really hope it's not the same news that's seen us drop from reliable 20s to reliable mid-teens, because not many of us want that...
Dbw. I wonder if you could post a link, showing why your convinced there's plenty going on behind the scenes
“ Meanwhiles I've been a mug”
Well you got something right…..
Dbw. I wonder if you could post a link, to show what you've based your lifelong obsession that good news is coming tomorrow on.
Rampers like dbw and fort having to start work extra early today, in a lame attempt to convince others that a major institutional investor leaving solg is a good thing... Fort's only evidence is a non-example where he then freely admits Blackrock were right? Strange. And DBW has caught Red's ellipsis disease, though maybe this group just isn't as many people as their names suggest. Either way, an amazing example of trying to dress up **** as rain.
Meanwhiles I've been a mug and topped up further. If it hangs around in the 15-17p range reliably (our new mid-20s?) then it won't be the worst tactic. Build a stake before action in mid-2024, as I've predicted all along.
Good luck to most, **** off to brainless transparent rampers.
I have not had any response to a few emails since Fawzi left.. Fawzi did indeed always reply… he was always very courteous in his replies.. even to the little investor.
It’s not been worth posting here much recently but remain very optimistic and expecting something big to drop any time
According to Morningstar, some of the Blackrock funds/holdings have cleared out so around 17m sold. Mainly UK based or UK focused funds. Blackrock still have a fund holding around 14.5m shares but that fund seems to be 'holding'.
Considering Blackrock were at around 100m shares not long ago, it's good to se them cleared out now. They may just sit on the last 14.5m fund.
They were heavy sellers of Wood Group at around 110p levels just before a bid arrived by Apollo for 230p a share lol! So clearly Blackrock get it woefully wrong on many occasions. That said, the Apollo deal did not complete and Wood Group is back at 130's or 140's. Lots of other examples out there of Blackrock selling out before takeover offers. Anyone would think it's a strategy of theirs lol! For whom I wonder?
Anyone had any responses to emails to the company since Fawzi departed?
The other day I requested clarification of the apparent contradiction relating to the completion date of the SR - the Prospectus said end June, Caldwell has recently said September. I have not received a response.
You may recall the DC said he was going to reduce the number of announcements, but they kept coming and Fawzi always replied to emails. Perhaps our new board really are committed to the code of Omerta.
Morning Fort
Be great to get BR flushed through ….. plenty going on behind the scenes here just a time for patience….. though when news does come I expect it to be big.
Boards much better now.
:()
Yes correct first time buy or pension 4 k in per year and topped up by a grand can’t take out until 55
But 20k deposit in the south east property don’t go far
So it’s hold and rent lol
Not sure I want to throw another 5 k in at the moment
But I understand your point
Half is in a life time isa so I’ve got 10 years before I can touch it maybe the same time the first bid or oz of gold is sold from cascabel lol
Ko ...yes , it's pr*tty sh*t . I am not familiar with OMI but believe me I've had other disasters just as similar I'm sure. Good luck buddy.
covgas
i’m identical to you over 40k gbp at avg 27
painful hey
and a double kick in the *******s is my 10 k in omi at 13p
now 4p
I am now of the view sh*t or bust. I have 32k in here at 27.7 , if it goes bust so be it. I have lost about 25k on the market since 96 , so another 32k will not be nice but I'm resigned to it. I expect to get about 26 back eventually , so will ride it out.
For any kind of commenraty from WI, your best bet is twitter. Most recent post....
'Waiting for a bid is a painful thing to do. I am holding and not saying it is an easy decision. I sold an oil company once two weeks before a takeover bid and left 10 million on the table, so I try to be more patient. I am waiting.'
Forte, I guess we shall see, but unless there is any buying pressure, I dont see how BR stopping selling will move the price back up. If they thought the price would go back up they just would not sell.
If anyone is intouch with Warren, they could perhaps ask him to join this board. He used to post on cgp board with some really interesting insider coments

Hopefully that's the last of BR. I said the same last month and they managed to still have 20m shares left.
Looks like the bulk of these larger II deals are being done in or around the 17p. Scott's options were at 17p and we know the Chinese took 5%+ at around the same price.
Seems like 17p level is the 'floor' from which most seem happy building big stakes. Does that suggest a 34p or 51p sale price? 1 or 2 bagger?
