I think apart from everything else, the uncertainty over the elections/results is weighting on the share price. A run off to April 11th is guaranteed now but due to the fact that Perez had 20% approx of vote, the market may now be assuming that both Lasso and Arauz will need to pull out some 'green' anit mining rhetoric to win over the Perez votes assuming he's out. Could make the next 8 weeks a campaign about green issues and how Arauz or lasso will be dealing with them???
Anyone know how the mining referendum result went in the south of the country?? That also happened on Sunday.
BHP or NCM or anyother party are not going to risk making any bids until they know the winner of the election and what he had to give away in green issues to win the presidency.
Richos, I fully respct YOUR opinion that tomorrow never comes.....but if that is what you think then why are you here today, yesterday and probably tomorrow????....:-) Btw,You don't have to answer ....
Good morning Pinot, over the years I have been on this chatroom, I find you have always shared information which is useful, and informative. May I ask for your take on the current situation and your reasoning. Completely understand if you don't want too.
Thanks for your insight about cascabel. Now I know that Bhp the world's biggest miner have got it all wrong and made a massive mistake investing not 1,2 but 3 times and have already tried to buy a 90% share in solg. But heh you must know something g they don't so I guess we should all sell up eh.
Really?,you think the big Demand for our resorces and the big conglomerates on board and more sniffing and franco deal signed up they gonna wait 6.7.10 yrs ,you really need to DYOR ,oh and you think Ecuadorian government /people gonna wait that long to prosper from mining
LM Be great to see an RNS early next week with positive news. If SOLG is as bad as some make out!!! why has it not tanked to 10p already? Its a simple answer..........because its not bad its just preparing for a huge uplift, this is borne out by not huge sells and all major share holders staying quiet
As well as the breadcrumbs pointing to a decent resource emerging at Tandayama, what really gets me excited is the drill assays at Blanca
Lest we forget, the Blanca resource was talked up - very rich channel samples, epithermal gold system, just a few KMs from Cascabel. Due to Nick’s vendetta against CGP and his desire not to boost any property they had rights to, it then went silent, the property was split (CGP had shared rights to the closer epithermal resource, SOLG had sole ownership of the veined thin layered resource where the artisanal miners had been busy), and after that nothing more was spoken about the epithermal nor was it drilled.
No everyone is back in the tent, CGP included, comments about it possibly being able to provide early bootstrapping to the Alpala site are re-emerging, after all NCM and BHP wouldn’t spend millions on more drilling if they didn’t have a clue there was a near surface resource to find...
It’s close enough to use the same infrastructure. It’s near surface. And all previous info points to it being rich in gold.
Bring on the assays I say. As if we’ll stay at this price if we effectively find a new rich surface gold resource on our patch, next door to Alpala. We should find out within a month.
It’s not all doom and gloom, don’t let the doom mongers blind us all to the positives that still exist.
Hi crew. Yes, certainly some upside to this additional drilling. Although I should have used the word 'could' instead of 'would'. Don't know what the additional drills will find re: higher or lower grades etc.
Either way, additional drills improve the modelling, and will enable better planning / optimisation of PFS.
What a depressing board this is this morning. Reading it I wonder how many people have owned shares before. We had some unexpected news, and it has moved the price down. So many people think we are at the mercy of BHP and NCM. I have a question, if it's all bad news, why not sell up now?
I haven't seen such tacit approval given to the share we all own. God, you lot are depressing.
porvenireal > Closer drill spacing allows improved modelling of the ore body. Hence increased confidence the optimum area is being targette, i.e. de-risking. This would then allow for optimal grades to be targetted, and potentially extracting higher grades earlier. This would lead to a reduced payback period, and higher NPV on the project.
Add - of course. But NM still went ahead and got a streaming deal (in spite of them). If they had others lined up of greater value it may have forced the hand of BHP/NC to accept a similar deal in place of NM stepping down and have more inputs into the direction of the project. (Effectively getting more say) - just speculation.
Everything is possible in this crazy world ,certainly our SP declining even lower.....but at time it could also starting to recover sharply.... There is no doubt in my mind that most if not all the bad news are out now and in the current price level, so one can speculate for the near term movements....as for the longer term (months or longer....) then this is pretty much no brainer....IMHO. GLA whatever.
Do you remember how MARL didn't disclose their projected AISC until after the Sandstorm acquisition, then it was confirmed what an amazing world class discovery they had with AISC of $374/oz. I did well out of that company but it still annoys me that they withheld such important and positive price sensitive information from the market. Hope there isn't a repeat of that here.
