Must be the weekend.
Schools out and the tw.t is bored!
Need a life, brain cell, bra, wife in need of something!
Adikt, never doubted it mate.
to be honest all this treasury stuff goes over my head. I just tend to go with a share and basically hope for the best.
I have never seen the need for all that technical malarky. I either make money or lose money. I just research the basics.
I also try to be honest with myself and others. ive no need to impress with my superior knowledge, I know I havnt got it.
also adikt I have never thought you make things up,
I dont think you can see the wood for the trees, but that's another matter
Nal, sorry to disappoint, but the shares are still in Treasury, as the next MD&A will confirm.
Highflyman. Ref your earlier claim regarding you being the latest to have a contact.
Just thought I would remind posters of one or two of your earlier claims I've questioned in the past.
First this blockbuster from late last year.
"Well, I think there will be some kind of corporate action q1 or 2 next year, that's why I've added another 500k shares since the cgp merger news. Just cast my AGM votes for mine and the wifes 1.3 mil shares in favour of all resolutions. Cannot help but think there is another surprise before the AGM, but we shall see.
This post was a week before your claim to hold x million shares.
I know, and have friends in the special forces.
And at a quick reckoning I estimate you've told ud you've bought another 2 million shares this year.
Those two added plus earlier purchases you've told us, I estimate you now hold about 7 million solg shares.
Have a solg contact
Have friends in the sas.
I rest my case
Highflyman, PEASE!!!!! Not another one with a contact. This really is getting silly.
We've got more contacts than actually work for solg. Some of us must have the same contact.
On another note, not sure if your aware Bbg but Quantas have started a 16 hour non stop flight Perth to Rome.
Could be handy for you computing between your italian and aus homes. Just a thought
Yes I think Monday there’s a webcast from there becoming available
Hope your friend gets a bit out of Scott HFM, I can’t believe we’re sat in September and all he’s achieved is laying a few people off and the exploitation deal sheet.
Totally agree. Nothings changed.
Adikt your post yesterday.
"RK, I can't explain the seeming anomaly, but I'm 100% convinced we still have those shares held in Treasury,"
Reminds me of the time I was 100% CONVINCED,
the guy in my local chip shop was elvis, I even told my mates I was 100% CONVINCED. I'd seen elvis.
Anyway cutting it short, it turned out he was an elvis tribute act from Yalingup.
Lesson learnt for me was, me being 100% CONVINCED meant nothing if I couldn't back it up.
It was just an opinion
Denver Gold Forum next week. I've got a contact who pencilled in some one to one time with Scott. Fingers crossed there's news as the last few weeks have been slow to say the least. C
Totally agree. Scott has been a total disappointment. Critical of previous management and then he became the very thing he criticised. For sure a lot of us didn't think solg would be around for another AGM.
From the look of things, it will be 2024 before we see action. I was expect release of his phased plan by now. More snail pace at solg.
It’s an embarrassment to the doughnuts who think wind power is “cheap” and viable. It’s clearly neither
Next balls up will hit this winter, the clowns have closed down our last two coal power stations permanently
Any problem with gas delivery and we are literally screwed.
Solgold is a sell in may and go away stalwart. Same every year. News is not just overdue, it is owed!! With an AGM some of us never thought we’d see just months away, Caldwell needs to get his finger out of his cake hole and deliver something
The outcome of the auction was a total embarrassment for the government. One would have thought that they would have carried out a survey before going ahead with the auction.
News is well overdue. Bob has a reputation to uphold so he better get a move on.
How certain are you of the news '84? As certain as you were with the exploration agreement? C
Oh I’ve serviced a fair few boilers in my time ;)
Still chuckling at last weeks wind auction where they received zero bids to build new wind farms as its not financially viable
Green revolution eh?!
Looking forward to a move up in price next week as news starts to flow
Tell me about it.
Of course you know that Quady is an expert on all things Boiler. I am sure he would be happy to share his expertise knowledge.
Peckham, absolutely crazy. Clearly no anger management skills. I am not sure that it will be safe for the owner to reopen his store what with lynch mob baying for him.
Let's hope that solg management will start showing some legs now that the AGM isn't too far off.
Was always going to be quiet over summer, hand back on soon.
I’ve been passing time up to my nuts in guts, taking several flights I didn’t need to take, looking again at a six litre Bentley and getting a new gas boiler installed before the nutters try and ban them.
Been looking for a new wig in Peckham too but my usual store was closed for some reason?
Welcome back 198(2×2).
Been awile since your last post. You haven't missed anything here, paint still drying:)
NAL came up with a new expression for calculating Average.
Ship had a chat with Fast and Smart Bob who failed to explain why he hasn't delivered anything meaningful to date. That's about it.
*tune
Time in next week, everything’s about to change
Solg very rarely goes up any longer , when in doubt they bash it down a bit just to be consistent I'm sure. It really is a depressing spectacle.
Copper up copper down
Silver up silver down...
Gold up falling back a bit
RIO and BHP up again...
Solgold going nowhere...up a big fat zero...
+Ended quarter with strong liquidity, cash balance of $48.1M, plus $25.4M shares held, which can be sold at the
election of a wholly owned subsidiary...."
Copying from when we discussed this in February:
Under the Companies Act, treasury shares are shares that have been repurchased by the company using distributable profits pursuant to a share buyback scheme.
The CGP Solg shares have not been purchased in such a manner and definitely not using distributable profits. Therefore I don't think they are considered treasury shares under the Companies Act. They will just be an asset of the CGP entity that is now a Solg subsidiary.
So Solg does still own the shares, but technically they aren't treasury shares.
Bob Sangha said he has 153m shares. Not sure if thts Maxit or personally
Twigger has been at Solgold for so many years… knows all about how great the asset is, how the discovery has progressed over time.. yet has a miserly number of shares, despite many, many opportunities to buy over the years, knowing what he knows… Reds Mrs has more shares than him..
I thought SC said he had 17-19m odd shares too, or had he added since the 1m referred to?
