Not I don't agree.
Why remove SC when he is getting the job done??? He moved to Ecuador to oversee the permitting process... Announcements over last 3 months are an illustration of success.
We are on the cusp of major news...
Your post is 100% deramping.
"Another change would see our sp collapse even further and to ditch him would be an act of self-harm".
Bbg you really are delusional.
Do you really think anyone on here has any input on anything of any relevance.
Not to mention solg are doing a pretty good job of talking down solg without any input from adikt..
5 or 6 years I've read your dribble every time someone posts something you don't like.
All you've achieved to date is show us all your a stranger to realallity.
Where are you now. Italy, aus or the UK.
BBG, what on earth are you talking about?! How in gods name does my post represent "deramping"? It's a statement of fact and I should have thought you'd agree with my conclusion.
Addicknt - what is the purpose of your email? to spook fear? to deramp the sp? to create liquidity? to talk down the prospects of the co?
Anyone with half a brain (and a decent holding) is absolutely holding long on this. I find your post rather amusing and obvious as to your real intentions...
Totally agree
I just had a quick look at the web site and note that James Clare is still listed as being an NED. For some reason I thought he'd gone? I'm obviously mistaken.
This led me to look through the various announcements relating to director appointments/resignations/sackings. When you lump them all together it reveals just how dysfunctional the company has been. Actually, it's astonishing and it's no wonder we are where we are.
Against this backdrop it would seem bonkers to even think about another change. Our market credibility must be in the gutter and the Ecuadorian government must wonder what on earth has been going on. Or perhaps given their own situation they regard this as normal.
I suspect that when Caldwell was appointed he found an even bigger mess than he thought and he's had to do a great deal of firefighting as well trying to piece together the strategy which will deliver his promises to shareholders. We may not like the apparent slow progress, but I believe he must be given time. Another change would see our sp collapse even further and to ditch him would be an act of self-harm.
Obviously, many of you disagree, but this is just my opinion.
I am one of the optimist. Possible bidders need to see political stability and some of the other critical permits signed which comes once this election is over and one of the pro mining candidates is in office giving their 100% backing and support for this project . Another few months of patience is needed here. At the same time Scott is further de-risking the project.
My kitchen is real life , as is my portfolio. It's not a joke Novice....
Relax highfly this board is not real life it is but a reflection of the current 30 second attention span society… real life is waiting patiently for the board to do their job whether 1 more week, month or year
ONWARDS AND UPWARDS
Another b100dy article about copper demand. FFS, get sick of reading them. Will someone get their f1ng3r out of their ar5e and just buy this s0dding thing. C
https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2023/09/27/copper-is-critical-to-climate-the-world-is-way-behind-on-production.html
Only a few weeks away then. That agreement would surely be the starting gun fired on who builds that mine
Clue Quady, it’s not solgold
Apologies, Middelkoop
“Interesting article in Chinese media on $SOLG:
In addition, with regard to the Cascabel copper-gold project, Ecuador's largest undeveloped mine (owned by SolGold, in which Jiangxi Copper has a stake), the Ecuadorian Government has signed a preliminary agreement with the investor. The project has submitted an application to enter the mining phase, and the Ecuadorian government hopes to sign a formal mining agreement before the end of the current government's term so that the project company can obtain all project construction and mining-related permits to facilitate the start of construction of the project in 2025 with a capital expenditure of up to US$5 billion.
CDF Long”
No.
Many comments here are too pessimistic. The magazine, Money Week, has an article saying there is plenty of copper, silver and gold at Cascabel and in effect worth the risk. The article says SOLG may be bought sometime at a premium.
I am most concerned with political uncertainties and the cartels attempting to get a grip on Ecuador. Doesn't lend to a positive business environment or place to invest heavily. Is that the reason for the tumbling share price?
Was the world about to go into a recession and interest rates 5% plus last time………..
And far less confetti shares in issue too…
We’ve been at these levels numerous times and had far less indicated copper, gold and silver so hold onto those hats guys and let’s get back to the future
Looks like a chunky buy of 650,000 shares @ 12.95p at 16:20 today. An O trade. £84k .
We could do with a few more of those !
Someone working hard behind the scenes… this gives me much confidence
It’s not a call he needs it’s a massive kick up the backside
Perhaps Ship should have a follow up call with Scott to see if he is actually doing anything to arrest the fall in the SP. I would call him myself, but I don't think my position here measures up with others with more elephantine holdings to warrant my being granted an audience 😅
Thanks guys but it wasn't too difficult decision for me to topup because all the recent retrace is done on the back of a misley turnover rather than a big selloff which suggests a degree of manipulation.....I have no doubt it can go even lower but at the same time it can turn the other way,....today buying price is attractive enough for me.
Hopefully better days to come.....eventually.
I usually try and put a positive slant on things here because I do feel a deal will inevitably be done ( at some level)
But when it comes to communication and how shareholders have been treated…… you can’t defend the indefensible
