SolGold
(LN: SOLG)
Comfortable cash position to carry SolGold through reduced de-risking programme & Strategic Review
SolGold (“SOLG”) recently announced a Term Sheet with the Government of Ecuador (“GoE”) for an Exploitation Agreement (20th July) as well as a 25-year licence renewal (17th July) at its flagship Cascabel project. Under the leadership of Scott Caldwell, appointed permanent CEO in Mar’23, SOLG has focused on streamlining the business, whilst also advancing the project and showing underlying value. A cut in overheads, a “right sizing exercise” at Cascabel, and possible monetisation of the Company’s broader Ecuadorian portfolio post-merger with Cornerstone (“CGP”) gives the company a healthy funding position going forwards. With CGP’s cash, a US$36m capital raise led by Jiangxi Copper and completion of a US$50m royalty agreement with Osisko in Dec’22, SOLG reported a comfortable US$48m in cash as of Mar’23. With detailed engineering on hold, we expect this cash to carry SOLG through to Jun’24 while more modest de-risking studies are continued this year. A Strategic Review on the financing of Cascabel is also ongoing, made simpler by the consolidation of CGP, which could potentially provide a catalyst in the months ahead. We update our estimates to reflect the new fiscal terms, capital structure and share count, and roll our valuation to Jun’24, giving a GBp63/sh target, implying 297% upside.

@lostagain...
I'm no expert on Ecuador politics but if Luisa González gets in, this wouldn't be bad news for any of the Chinese suitors put it that way. This article gives us a decent overview of her credentials and mentions her support for Chinese overseas policy;
https://nationalinterest.org/blog/luisa-gonz%C3%A1lez-would-be-disaster-us-ecuador-relations-206629
I'm not unduly worried about the elections ATM, so long as Yaku Perez doesn't get in I think we will be fine. I think our best result would be for Luisa to over 40% of the vote and win by +10% and she's over the line with no further voting required. With the FTA having been signed with China and Mirador being successfully built and run by the Chinese, any Chinese suitor would become out and out front runners to bid for Cascabel or any other transaction. All IMHO and welcome the thoughts of others. C
Disappointed of the last year or two but the world has been a little crazy in that time.
It’s in the RNS s
Take a look.
Never a teir 1 but might add to tonnage of Cascabel later
Sorry aquinaga. I meant to apologise for assuming you
was disappointed with the way your investment has gone from
the 52p days
What about that aquinaga tier one discovery.
can you throw any light on what happened to it.
I can clearly remember the chatter on here.
but it seems to have gone off the radar.
In fact I brought some at 52p!!!
On the back of the spike!!!
Haven’t told you the times I’ve sold either. Only twice.
Stopped trading these yeas ago.
You make too many assumptions
DinnerMoney I would like to say sorry to you I had posted three links, but only one is there.
For some reason I think they are protected.
They are from the same source. It refers to violence escalation in Ecuador due to Lasso's inability to curtail the rising tide of crime.
Ok aqua. I thought maybe you topped up all the way to 49p.
seemed a logical assumption looking at the amount of times youve
told us, youve just topped up.
my mistake
Rk. your usually posting about share trades and the price of copper.
what's your take on only a dozen or so trades today.
is it those algorithm things you talk about.
or do you suspect maybe the markets have complete apathy with us
even though your forecasting copper prices to rise.
It was a minor top up with now an average of under 7p
You do know how investing works right?
Not all purchases will be the best price ever!
Please with the ones I got at under 1.5p ☺️
Aquinaga. also came across this post from you in 2118. yea mate 5 years ago.
"Well had to do a top up at this price. Again!"
the share price then was 25p. today its 16p.
so I can sort of understand you supporting anyone else in
your position. awful when your in deep, with no sign of
getting your money back.
I expect this Kalbarri fella had something to do with it.
No the point I was addressing.
Oh well
Thanks hiflyinman which one would in your opinion be best for the Solgold share price
Aquinaga. your post does what to address my point regarding
posters making wild claims about take overs and sp value. and have done for many years.
just out of curiosity aquinaga, didn't Mather tell us many, many years ago
about a new major tier one discovery called aquinaga, or something very similar.
whatever happened to it. I think it was around the time we had 12 majors sniffing round
'The president is elected using a modified two-round system, with a candidate required to get over 50% of the vote, or get over 40% of the vote and be 10% ahead of their nearest rival to be elected in the first round'
If Louiza stretches her lead and the remaining pack remain tight less than 15% of the vote, then this could be called on the 20th.
Wikipedia seems to be the only place I can find for more uo to date polling. Louisa Gonzalez seems to be opening out her lead then a pack polling between 7 to 10 %. Yaka currently in that pack 3rd or 4th. If someone will wins by +10% margin, don't we get this concluded on the 20th?
Morning all!

Just look in the mirror and you will find out who Kalbarri is/was. No need to waste a life looking back through three years of posts 😍
Here's a blast from the past padmaster.
I was just going back over old pots to see if
I could find out who Kalbarri was.
and I came across another of your crackers from 2020
yea mate 2020. 3 years ago, how time flies.
"No Quady. The questions everyone should ask is :
Who, when and how much?
IMHO my answer is BHP, imminent, £1+"
I see you was forecasting £1 + imminently.
I think we can maybe dispel the £1+.
but my question is bearing in mind your post
was 3 years ago, what's your definition of imminent,
and bhp have allegedly not been near the data room
Fortissimo, your either very brave or naive.
To be so sure of an election nowadays.
Just remind me about the polls, trump v Clinton. Such strong unsubstantiated opinions. Then, WHOOPS up pops the facts.
Fortissimo, I don’t think he will win, but he most certainly could win if there is a very large turnout, and even if he doesn’t it does demonstrate the level of the anti-mining sentiment in Ecuador, and as you rightly point out his influence in the likely run-off could lead to a more “environmentally friendly” than even before Louisa being in post.
Remember this from a fortnight ago pads.
"We’re on our way, we’re on our way. To the major league, we’re on our way. How we get there I don’t know. How we get there I don’t care. All I know is Solgold’s on its way.".

You are bonkers man. Perez polled well down the list. He will have a roll to play if there's a run off. Assembly control important has can inhibit presidential influence.
