Off to sleep Quady ?
Runwiththebullz, you would take the opinion of an astrologer over an astronomer.
By the way the Astronomers and Scientists agree with me, It just doesn't make good viewing on TV.
Look at NASA if you want an informed opinion, I use them to make my observations, I hope to move into mass spectral analysis this year, and start my own analysis of the age of the sun.
I am an amateur, but guess what, we have made all the important discoveries, and if you join a club, you work in teams with top scientists. ( I used to belong to the same club as Patrick Moore )
Hi Quady - fair enough - you are a Tory.
I wish SOLG could give a little to the UK foodbanks
Silly question RICH3R, we have 3 vaccines and they are looking promising.
The problem is the delivery system, and it's a good job we are invested in all three. ( and more that never made the grade. 17 in all if I am up to date )
Anyone who thinks this government has done a bad job, doesn't understand the situation and how we got here.
The science developed over time, and we reacted as fast as we could. ( mistakes were made )
Yes mistakes were made, and more will be made in rolling out the vaccines, but we are progressing as fast as we can.
Did I now? I read up on that quick. I actually watched a show on Netflix last week. I’ll take what the real astrologer/scientist said cheers. Well done on the retirement but maybe go back to work so you post less on here and stop getting all upset by people disagreeing with you.
Anyways, if you still think that’s more likely than a bid... I’m lost for words.
It is very simple. BHP are likely to vote against the board with NCM and CGP as they are not happy with Nick also. Reason being is that Nick will make them pay full value and is a major stumbling block to their attempts to get control of Solgolds substantial very attractive assets. These votes will demonstrate where the power really lies or if a coalition of BHP, NCM & CGP have the power to change out the board and put in their own stooges who will sell the COMPANY out for peanuts or well short of it's true value. It is very simple support Nick and the board and force BHP to pay the takeover premium required if they want control of the assets. The best result for private investors is for BHP to have to negotiate with Nick from a position of strength (i.e having the votes) His interests are aligned with PIs due to his substantial shareholding in both Solgold directly and via DGR to extract maximum value from any takeover offer.
It is a no brainer really.
A while yet? You reckonened 2 weeks a week or so ago ?
Hi Quady how are vaccines going!
You googled that, and you have no idea why you are wrong, I don't want to depress people, but if you would care to look at NASA and see the meteors we are tracking at the moment, they are a fraction of what is up there as we only see the ones that get refracted in the suns light, and they are so small that it's a miracle that we see the ones we see.
Less than one in ten million.
I understand. You think there is more chance of a wipe out which happens once every 26 million years (both times weren’t complete wipeouts) and there more chance of that than a bid? Lol
Maybe it’s you who needs to understand a few things about probability
Patrm, if I could give you some advice, which I don't reckon I could, it's this.
Retire comfortably as soon as you can, why your health is good.
You will never regret it.
If you are like me, and worked long hours, it does take adjustment, and you keep getting up early, as you think you are still working.
I even drove to the wrong house on more than one occasion, as I forgot I didn't have to go to my managers house for weekly meetings.
It is so freeing, you clear your mind and get time to think.
All the best.
Please ! This IS the SOLG website NOT Quady's website !
Sorry runwiththebullz, before you make such a statement, you need to understand how often the Earth gets hit by meteor strikes, and also understand that the one that does hit us, will probably not be detected, until we have 72 hours before impact.
Space is really big. OK Jupiter gives us a defense strategy, as most get sucked into it's orbit, but as for Solgold getting brought, please give me a sensible scenario, and please don't say it just will because everyone else says so.
You think life on earth getting wiped out is more likely than a bid? ?? then call everyone who thinks a bid will come clueless? Wow.
Do you know the odds of an explorer going all the way to production?
Everyone has an opinion, both have good arguments, no one knows. You need to stop flaunting your arrogant opinion every 2 seconds. No 1 cares. Just as bad as my mate.
Hi BNC hope all is well with you.
Every little bit of information that we get is interpreted as someone is going to buy us.
This is constantly said by all the so called experts who are so desperate to sell at any price.
I have the feeling that a lot of posters on here really don't have a clue, and don't have portfolios that support them, that they are depending on Solgold to change their lives.
I don't count you amongst their number, but fed up being told I don't understand cooperate governance all the time, as that is some type of revelation, I have said many times, it's not my area of expertise.
I do know about investing, and I get it right , otherwise I wouldn't have retired at 57.
If anyone thinks a bid at this stage is the most likely path, they are clueless, as some have been saying this every week for the past 7 years.
But guess what, their argument is, just because it hasn't happened, doesn't mean it wont.
Guess what, just because a meteorite hasn't ended all life on Earth, doesn't mean it won't.
As an amateur astronomer I think the end of life on Earth is more likely.
OK rant over I feel better.
Goodnight all.
Proxy :)
So got this far on IG. Says download the form from the relevant company website , fill it in and send it to them. No proxy vote form to print out on SOLG website , am I just stupid or does it actually exist ?
quady - noooooooooooooooooooooooo
lols
Do you know Miagi, I do believe you are starting to see the let's go to production argument.
Maybe as the most likely outcome.
Patrm, but this isn't a one horse race anymore. There's Porvenir and high hopes for Rio Ama too. Plus, there are 11 other priority concessions each with mutiple targets on them (e.g. Cacharposa was formerly Target 6 at Porvenir). It is a monstrous, countrywide play and it's one that the Majors/Chinese want to get their hands on. To paraphrase the guy from the Mining Journal: SOLG is a a super hot takeover target.
If NM is worried for his position - then the sooner he can dump good news onto the public stage the better. This will bolster his position.
However - as we get ever closer to the AGM and nothing of note materialises then I suspect he is not a worried man.
I rang the London office today and asked for confirmation or denial of the CGP statement regarding the PFS delay stating that I needed to assess whether I can rely on what NM tells us in webinars (past and future), before I vote next month on specific resolutions.
They informed me they would revert ASAP.
Not holding my breath, needless to say.
And now we find they have hired an Investor Relations guy.......Couldn't make it up.
Z
Flow, I expect decent share price appreciation in the run up to the AGM! Makes sense to butter up the Retail investors...
from today's RNS is that, as Addicknt said earlier, they've run through the numbers and they're looking tight, tight enough that perhaps the Retail vote could swing it. That can only mean that BHP have either already indicated that they are against some of the resolutions, or that NM fears it likely that BHP will swing that way. It is odds on that they want to oust NM and put in place a stooge that will dripfeed them the cheap equity that they desire. hey want to own SOLG and badly. But NM's going to make them pay top dollar, and he may need some Retail help to do it.
Well NM has heard our woes.
Last week he got fed up with us calling his office and asking for confirmation of the PFS by December (as he had stated earlier). He accepts there is room for improvement when it comes to customer relations and the executive reshuffle failed to cater for this. So this week he has been busy interviewing candidates to respond to our concerns.....honestly ;)
"...A new member of the management team now listed, with impressive credentials, (Rio, Goldman Sachs, UBS, HSBC, Macquarie, Berenberg).
FAWZI HANANO - Head of Investor Relations.

14 years late mate!

Bozi, I do agree that the company should be managed with the medium to long term view, and not to satisfy traders' short term desires for a quick profit. Afterall, SOLG is trying to do some good in Ecuador, alonside their ambitions (acting sustainably, employing locals, investing in the local economy etc).
It is up to the traders themselves to be good enough at what they do to navigate those waters.
