10p close by Friday???.....
Me thinking loud.
:)
No worries add. Will be interesting to see how they vote at the AGM.
So no takers for my game, well it was 4 years ago padmaster,
and I have to say, to my knowledge over the 8 years ive been reading your wishful thinking
posts, I cannot remember one prediction you have got right. youve been posting about
infesters and writing ditties, but that has been your only contribution, for 8 long, long years.
on the other hand my 6 predictions have been correct.
1, I said Mather was out of his depth and impossible to deal with....... he was sacked....... correct
2, I said stormy waters ahead, sp then 35p, sp now 9p....... correct.
3, I said nothing would change under scotty boy, apart from adikt, most agree.
4,i said board overloaded with fantasists, 3654 claim to have contacts, 4567 claim to top up on every drop,
we got someone who has visited cascabel, we've got someone who is a mate of Mather, the list is endless. ..... correct
5, I said even solg have said tier 1 is subjective. the lack of interest proves that... correct
6, I said about the gangs and kidnappings and extortion in Ecuador. correct. you, quady and copperpot told us, it was similar to tourists getting drunk in Spain.
please prove me wrong. post something you have got right
Yup, thought this was a traders dream late yesterday, not now! Still an overhang??
Thanks The Italian for your always most grounded opinion and excellent research. Just wish a first bid would make it's appearance, LOL!
Tesla, that's not what I was saying, is it?
SM, thanks.
Add, don't quote me on this but I think I read over on the GGP board that they are expecting to announce what they're keeping and what they're shifting in Q1 next year.

If you were buying similar businesses in Canada, or Ecuador, you would be happy to get the Ecuador one for a 10 % discount over the Canadian one?
Seriously!!!!!!!
Tesla, I seem to recall Newmont stating that they apply a 10% political risk discount to assets in Ecuador and that this was already priced in. (if it wasn't Newmont themselves it was an analyst looking at the NCM takeover) Incidentally, I wonder how long it will be before Newmont declare their hand with regard to their 10% holding?
As for your point about the quality of the asset, it's not just people on here saying it, is it?
TI
You are one of the more reasoned posters on this board, but surely there are many variables to your figures, the most important one being jurisdiction.
If your figures were accurate buyers would be all over this company at this price.
If the asset was as good as the rampers on here would have you believe a bid would have been received a long time ago.
The fact that it hasnāt materialised perhaps means it is not as good as the rampers on here make out. I hope you and many other reasonable posters make a profit, there is nothing wrong with being optimistic about your investments, but posters like red ramper and fortissimo, imv, have cost well intentioned investors with over inflated optimistic claims.
Red ramper is at it again this morning on both boards trying to get his underwater t20, from earlier this week, in to profitā¦ā¦the guys an out and out disgrace
Just to add to that, the industry average for takeovers at the feasibility stage is around 0.085 USD per pound of Cu equivalent, which given the resource we have advertised last, returns a GBP share value of 72p.
As Scott also confirmed (during my call), the company is still of the view that from the NM days management thinks that this is the fundamental value.
That is why no bidders have declared themselves (yet), the asking price from the company is known to them and they are not willing to pay until we have the "turnkey" project that justify that 0.085 value or thereabouts.
Until then we would only be worth the exploration stage valuation, which is in the 30-40p range. I would bet my SOLG shares that if we went out stating that we are happy to sell at 30-40p the buyers would come out in troves.
This also means that the current share price has limited effect on bidding decisions, at best it would be used as a reference for a first approach.
Where oh where has yesterday's childish chatter gone.
Rk congratulating all who topped up.
Adikt almost wetting himself, excitedly telling us he's topped up.
Talk of massive ut
Watch us go tomorrow. 12p by Friday.
Another song for you padmaster.
It's all gone quite over there
Oh it's all gone quite over there.
Were on our way, we're on our way
It's all gone quite over there.
KapilD, whilst the VWAP is likely to be referenced in any bid situation (they always are) it's not usually the basis for valuing an asset. An Asset like Alpala or ENSA is valued based on industry benchmarks/resources etc. What I would say is that the lower the share price is over a longer amount of time often results in a shifting shareholder base whereby newer investors (buying at 8p or 10p levels) become more than happy to vote for 3 x uplift regardless of asset value. Someone that bought yesterday would likely be very happy with 24p bid offer. Someone that bought a year ago at 24p would not.
As I've said before, I think SOLG management are keen to extract a bid even if it is low ball so that even will then kick off a bid war. The final price likely to be much higher... like the Noront example of early bid at 55 cents and final bid at 110 cents.
So following that example, an early bid at 24p might end up as 48p. New Management want a sale so from the outset we had likes of Irwin suggesting that Ā£1 or 80p+ etc was pie in the sky stuff. The 'lowering of expectations' by the CGP boys started long ago. They would have been fully aware of the damage a 'missed' Q3 or Q4 strategic review date would deliver. And before anyone says anything... it was said a number of times that Scott would deliver his 'plan' in Q3/Q4 23. Not Q1 24. So with cash pile running down as well (about 9 months left but really more like 6) the CGP are imho pushing shareholders into a tighter corner whereby they can deliver a poor bid offer that is credible (eg 3 times higher than current sp) but with intention to draw out BHP or others who know the real value is near 6 to 10 x current sp.
Scotty said...........
Kapil I will add you to adikt, and padmaster. That makes three gulibles
May have been selling for some time...
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/ex-paulson-partner-shuts-hedge-110001091.html?guccounter=1
"unwinding struggling positions altogether..."
That'll be irrelevant Kapil if more than one party bids...
Morning Pad ā¦.. a nice TR1 from the Chinese would help now ā¦ā¦. Clearly BS have been selling but itās not a one way street
Interesting how Scotty says don't worry about the share price it has just been pushed down by very small immaterial volume and illiquidity. But I can guarantee you any takeover bid will most definitely reference to the current and recent past average share price in any bid documents.
Padmaster. ive got another game.
one of your your other blind faith wishful thinking posts.
"No Quady. The questions everyone should ask is :
Who, when and how much?
IMHO my answer is BHP, imminent, Ā£1+
Anyone else prepared to answer the question?
GLA "
the game is. how many years ago did you post it.
my answer to your question, no one, nothing, never.
Padmaster another of your blind faith, wishful thinking posts from months ago in response to me saying
stormy waters could still be ahead. the share price at the time 27p. now 9p
Weāre doomed. WEāRE DOOMED.
Abandon ship.
The world class rate Tier 1 asset has disappeared. No one wants it. We canāt get any funding.
What a load of scaremongering tosh.
Hold on - the ride is just beginning. The first bid will be soon (IMHO).
once again proves my point.
embarrassing isn't it
āKalneedabari, you have been found guilty of troublemaking and clowning of the highest order. Before I pass sentence do you have anything to say?ā
āI couldnāt help it. I was as drunk as a judge at the timeā.
āI think youāll find itās as drunk as a lord.ā
āYes mālord.ā
Padmaster. This post of yours from several months ago makes my point about your desperation, and blind faith, far better than my words.
"Weāre on our way, weāre on our way. To the major league, weāre on our way. How we get there I donāt know. How we get there I donāt care. All I know is Solgoldās on its way."
You was right, trouble was we were on our way down.
Much the same as adikt " things have changed "
He was right also. They changed for the worst.
Remember your other oft repeated favorite.
" in mather we trust *
I rest my case m'lord
I wonder what Scottās reference to cascabel as a turnkey asset does to the chances of our resident dimwitās prediction that we take this to production? š¤
Party time,
I remind you of your earlier post.
"I'v just filtered the most obvious paid disrupter on this forum. His negativity is totally false and presence on this forum quite recent."
That makes you clown number 3657, who boasts you've filtered me, yet responds to my posts.
Padmaster.
I wonder if those companies are the same 12 solg told us 6 years ago were hovering around.
Sadly mate, it's now only you and adikt who believe every word a company desperate to sell spouts.
And if you go back 6 months when I said there were still stormy waters ahead,
You were then as now, in denial, posting your ditties to show how clever you are.
Sp then 40p today 8p
Not so clever mate, have another drink and go to bed.
