Whilst I'm not a massive fan of big bank broker forecasts, this one out today looks pretty confident. And just think... we haven't had the copper forecasts yet. 2024 gonna be a massive year for miners. Bob... put things on ice... tell the chinese you need to kick some tyres around yourself but will have another chat later in year when PoG is $3000oz, Silver $30k and Copper through $8.

Metals forecasts by BofA
"Expect gold to rally above $3k and silver above $30k over the next 12 months"
Add, I am sure that First Quantum investors were think the same about their Cobre mine in Panama. Look what happened there! No one here can hand on heart be certain that Ecuador, a Latin American country where anything can happen, couldn't one day decide that they need to prioritise the interest of their indigenous people over foreign investors.
How does the self-righteous pratts know whether or not I am invested? Do you think I have nothing better to do than take an interest in a company I am not invested in? Would Bob have wasted his time replying to me if I wasn't an investor? Perhaps you pratts should support Hubris in getting bin man Sean Tuffird to change his photo to one more in line with a serious company!
I disagree, I’m one of the few that has called this a gold play. A few are coming around now the inevitable rise in gold is taking place
Well said FTJNY. Like you I cant read them but still some of the more sensible posters respond.
If the eejits post rit you're feeding their pathetic need fir attention by responding guys.
Best wishes from sunny Madeira...
Scott said the AISC is $1/lb which is one of the lowest in the world.
Taking a read across from that and with gold being a direct byproducts of the copper mining suggests SOLG will have among the best Gold margins on the planet...
In fact Scott has previously said that the Sikver sales would cover all the mining costs for both...
Happy Days...

Jerry, far from it! My observation about gold is simply due to the fact I've never really paid much attention to it. I'm also aware you have a keen interest in what happens to the gold price and are therefore far better researched.
Add I presume that you must be a fan of Keynes. I am not and I side more towards the Alistair MacLeod view of the world. Gold will rise cos fiat has no future. US debt is unsustainable and its getting a lot worse, very fast. IMO.
Jerry, absolutely, although from the way things are looking, copper will continue its appreciation, but I'm not sure about gold. Whoever ends up buying this will do so based upon the very long term view of the future for copper.
Add, with the massive contribution from copper and a bit from silver, the aisc will be way lower than $1100 I think. But we are 5+ years away from production so the movement in metal prices is pretty irrelevant unfortunately.
That article is from 5 years ago.
Ftjny.
Interesting article, I read today.
"Politics in the country has cemented Ecuador’s reputation as being on the least reliable countries in South America in which to conduct a business. In the past, BHP made several large porphyry discoveries in the Cordillera Oriental, but they fled the country and"
They go on to also state the threat of the new form of nationaliseation expanding in south America.
Unfortunately I can't copy it, but I think you get the jest.
By the way, this article is dated before nobby decided being popular was more important than his countries already tarnished reputation.,
SH, 'emotional outburst'? Don't lower yourself to needabrains level - you're better than that - just.
FTJNY,
Also cretins keep answering them, because they are sad and need attention, what a bunch of losers
Atb
Well said NTJNY the negative Nancy's are at it again very sad.
On a positive note gold and silver are flying again today . :)
FTJNY….. yep
Nationalising Cascabel would destroy investors confidence in a country that is struggling as it is. A move like that would be fecking suicide
OMG the Muppets are clearly still at it! Needy, Stack, Tesla, Eloro and all the other ones which I can’t see because they are all filtered! Why anyone with half a brain cell would listen to anything these morons have to say is beyond me! They aren’t invested in Solg and are only posting to disrupt ! Cre£ins the lot of them!
I also noted hopeforhemos latest blockbuster, telling us that 30 missions have had similar attacks in history.
No they havnt. They didn't all drag out someone granted asylum.
Also there are appx 30000 missions round the world. Probably more.
The fact you can find 30 even if true.
30 in history, from appx 30000, shows you how rare and unfortunate for us it is.
Also I'm not invested in a country that alledgedly had a similar breach of international law.
Also those alleged countries governments didn't instigate it.
Also those alleged countries were not desperate for foreign investment.
I suggest you phone one of your friends, to find who these countries are, how many years ago it happened.
Check if it was in a war zone, and check who if anyone granted asylum they dragged out.
State-authorised extractions of those seeking diplomatic asylum? Pull the other one, hfh. Which treaty do you think Mexico has breached? What stage was his asylum claim at? I get that you want to ramp but blatant lies won't help your cause, hfh. Some people here can read...
Add- I acknowledged that you were trying to be funny. It wasn't a great effort, granted, but I clocked your sarcasm. But some facts needed to follow your emotional outburst 👍
Just picked up my sisters boyfriends cousins aunties phone by mistake.
Didn't realise she was on lse aswell, how weird.
Bugger me, if I didn't notice a post from adikt, accusing others of lying.
Not to sure if I'm actually dreaming, or if he really said it.
Got to go. My sisters boyfriends cousins auntie wants her phone back.
I won't make that mistake again
Beat me to it, DBW!
Eloro, shall we be a bit more accurate? You're living with the fear that Ecuador could nationalise Cascabel - the rest of us aren't.
“ We are living with the fear that Ecuador could nationalise cascabel”
I’m not ……
We are living with the fear that Ecuador could nationalise cascabel. Any other worry regarding Ecuador is trivial by comparison. I just wish we would hurry up and flog solg so that we are no longer exposed to the vagaries of Ecuadorian politics.
