Added a few more here on the drop this morning. Wonder if there was anything in them moving the AGM back a week.
Oh dear our most unintelligent poster on here keeps on providing proof that he is even more unintelligent than I thought.
He could try understanding what is being said.
But as he has constantly shown, that is probably beyond him.
Can someone please share Crawfords email address
No confusion here. The focus of the article is specifically on the Chinese and their role as investors in Ecuador. Consequently, the investor mentioned in the section on Solg is Jiangxi, not solg. The author specifically mentioned Jiangxi in order to reinforce the extent and scope of the Chinese investment interests in Ecuador. Solg don't have enough cash to keep the lights on after Q1, why would they be signing up to expenditures of up to U$5B? The subject of this are the Chinese. Dear I say it, Warren has always stated that he believes that the Chinese will be the buyer. I agree, the company should clarify. If there are legs to this story, I know how I will be voting:)
Excellent article DBW. This might yet influence how I vote at the upcoming agm:)
Yes, the manipulation is still on, but I do not know if it is for their own benefit ( selling when is at high and buying at the low ) or is to keep the price low and accumulate.
Yes "redknight1" there is a narrow spread, that got large once the share price did reach the bottom, but now they do not let it go, despite volume the last 3 trading days.

From July this year, apologies if already been posted.

It’s nothing new it’s just the agreement rehashed
If you’re writing a brochure for your country you’re keen to say $5bn will be invested in this or that
It doesn’t change the fact that nothing is agreed
Good work , DBW . It’s quite clear the government aren’t going to sit around and watch Solg and potential buyers sit and stare at each other indefinitely . Their term of office ends about the same time as construction is about to begin . The waiting’s nearly over...
I'm happy to be wrong. It's hardly the best writing either way - was it translated from Spanish?
Neither if you are reading it right. The investor is solgold and only solgold in which jiangxi has a stake which is relevant because of the Chinese angle of the article
Very simple really, I know Quady is thick but Come on SM
Excellent find dbw and excellent news. Let us see what our glorious leader Needless life thinks.
If the Ecuadorian government has signed an agreement with Jiangxi regarding anything related to Cascabel/Solgold, the company needs to announce or at least clarify what is meant.
As for funding, I wonder whether the meetings took place at our offices in Australia? Perhaps we asked the company we are subletting them to for a meeting room for a few hours.
There is absolutely no way we are planning to fund any of this ourselves. And no investor in their right mind would trust the current management team who keep saying we're not mine builders to... build a mine. They'd be laughed out the room.
SharketMare you're not reading it right.
It says it has signed a preliminary agreement as well.
That means as well as Solgold.
If anything this sounds like a JV.
It also sounds like funding is being sorted.
Part of the strategic review maybe.
If I'm reading that correctly, it's stating that the government has signed a preliminary agreement with Jiangxi for Cascabel? That needs clarification from the company ASAP. Not sure how else it can be read as in no way is SOLG an 'investor' in this context.

“SoldGold and the Cascabel Project
The Cascabel copper-gold project, the country's largest undeveloped mine, has also attracted attention. Owned by SolGold, in which Jiangxi Copper has a stake, the Ecuadorian Government has inked a preliminary agreement with the investor for this project as well. The project has filed an application to enter the mining phase, and the government aims to sign a formal mining agreement before the end of its current term. This would allow the project to secure all necessary construction and mining-related permits, facilitating the start of construction in 2025 with a capital expenditure of up to US$5 billion”
TI, this comment of yours is what is in bad taste:
"2) Investors in this sector, even the half wits, should be able to understand the share price in the context of the general market sentiment. "
Quick to label folks half wits, but have a thin skin regarding one of the aspects your country for which it is famous!

Hi T IT
I do honestly wish that I could post a significant bullish chart.
But until we see a golden cross of preferably EMAs but also SMAs then the charts are seemingly irrelevant imo
ROC(40) is also negative but has been showing good vibes in the last few days.
Supertrend still absolutely bearish with a strong negative bias.
SAR(0.02,0.02,0.2) is the only positive signal, which I would read in sync with the ROC(40), so possibly indicating some short-term upward move. Even if that's the case I doubt it will be a big move.
EMAs still heading south but the EMA(20) seems to finally slow down its fall and might eventually meet the EMA(50) by the end of the year.
Best guess and I hope I am wrong, nothing material is going to happen to the price until at least Mar-May 2024.
Come on, any honest chartist knows that the RSI index (Relative Strength Index) is only one charting indicator amongst many.
If talking charting or technical analysis (TA) please can we keep things real
MOG, thanks again for the useful post.
For those who don't speak Spanish, the interview is basically the demonstration that we need to worry more about Ecuador's convoluted politics and sensitivities, than SOLG's management.
The SP seems to be being traded into a narrower and narrower band...
9.40/8.60
9.35/8.70
9.30/8.80
Which way will it go when it bursts out of the tube...?
@Eloro, about your comment about the Godfather, A) it wasn't me, and B) it's a completely inappropriate undertone and bad taste on your side.
