"It's like being Harry Kane... and no one ever talking about buying him from Spurs."
I must have totally imagined last summer's high profile transfer saga when Man City did everything they could to sign Harry Kane.
When Nick said exit points, I don't think he had very short term spikes in mind.
He felt that the SP would find new levels as time passed with new milestones. This has not happened . The point I'm making is, things did not play out as he imagined.
That why you can't always trust what the company says.
This talk of bids has reminded me of something Nick Mather said some time ago.
"There would be multiple exit points along the way"
That has not been the case, sure we have spikes ,but I would not exactly call them genuine exit points where you can make an informed decision.
I think this is an example where you Can't trust what the company says after all.
Have a good evening all...
;)
It's a matter of time before the scared slug turns up as soon as admin isn't around... tick tock
I don't believe that statement is correct Rich3r. Replace anyone with everyone and we're a bit closer.
The multi-bidder auction is clearly the dream that brings SolGold to a quicker conclusion. I suspect one or two contributors to this board have talked up the possibility of this given the Noront transaction. However, there are different circumstances in play here, not to mention previous friction between SolGold and it's partner as well as SolGold and it's major shareholders. Lets hope there is interest elsewhere and someone else is willing to bid up any lead acquirer.
To answer your other question - as long as I need to I suppose.
I also don't believe every capital raise needs to be offered to retail holders. People can usually buy in the market, just like they can sell when they've had enough. It very much depends on the offering in question. Some placings are private or non-brokered, others are accelerated bookbuilds.
Ps Bozi - I just saw your question about a placing being open to PIs.
In the interests of respect to shareholders I’d say. Wouldn’t you? After all, solg have done it before. Why not again?
Lolzz Don't flatter yourself again tinyray. ABSLOLUTE CHILD !!! At least I don't pretend to filter someone then reply to them ... rent free buddy
Bozi I don’t think anyone in the ‘bid’ camp is wanting to flip the company over to the first bidder. I can only speak for myself but I’d like to see an initial bid then some sort of auction leading to higher prices.
I wonder how many more years you, Copperpot & Quady et.al are prepared to wait for this to come to fruition? I’m into my 9th year of investing my money & time in solg and tbh I sometimes wish I’d never heard of the company lol.
I certainly hope that the new CEO can speed up the pace and deliver shareholder value sooner rather than later.
Bit of a contradiction in your post CD. After all, all shareholders are forecasting a bid, right?
How is that then supposed to happen when nobody expects it?
There are some shareholders who neither expect nor want a quick offer. Some of us aren't really interested in flipping the company over to the first bidder.
Why does it have to be open to private investors Rich3r?
Afternoon Red.
I acknowledge your points and suggest you are a top contributor (mostly positive) to this BB - a point which I have made several times over the last 6 months.
To be honest I was a bit peeved at a lot of the negativity over the last week. For example on Tuesday we had a lynch mob demanding clarity from the BoD as to the way forward. If as you say they read our posts, they are not going to be jumping with joy.
We must remember that every move SOLG makes has been analysed & strategized to the hilt. For example the process of appointing of a new CFO must have taken a good 6 months or more.
I have every confidence that whatever vehicle is used to fund SOLG for the next 6 -12 months will the best option for us shareholders. The new team has not let us down to date, so let’s give them the benefit of the doubt and give them the time to action.
I am absolutely delighted with the appointment of Ayten Saridas. By all accounts a bit of a Rock Star in her field of expertise. The number one question I ask myself is not what she can & will bring to the table (which of course is pertinent), but why has such a high flyer joined the team?
The answer (as with Cuzzubbo) is that she knows Cascabel will be realised and her services will be pivotal to the project success.
The futures bright Solgers (despite the SP!!)
Damers.
I bet novice is speaking about me again? If he is someone should tell him to move on and forget about moi...
Lolzzz Don't flatter yourself tinyray !!! When they were good they were very good, unfortunately when they were bad they were downright disgraceful
He got away with being 'slug' for so long and then, well let's just say he picked on the wrong person and it's been down hill since then...
They don't have moral high ground. They are a repeat poster who has been banned for breaking lse rules. Changing their name does not change the facts.
Rich , not much we can do ….. we’ve been here many times …. Enjoy the sun
DBW fingers ‘n toes all crossed mate :)
Fair enough rich, can't argue with that, just my opinion and I definitely could be wrong...
Yes Ray the UK and US and others could well be on the cusp of recession, and who knows how deep & long it could last? But at such times, investors look for value & safety, and I’d argue that the sp is low enough to attract investment based on the proven value solg has in the ground. We’ll see …
Glad you said that DBW I'll remind you of what you said another time...
Rich , markets are crap right now ….. but you won’t see a raise at that level ….. it’ll be something completely different imo
You could be right rich, although this market isn't the ideal situation to be raising capital.
A 20p placing would be a rubbish fund raise imv. I sincerely hope the company has more respect for shareholders than that!
I hope not to see a placing at all and for the finance to be raised in other ways. If a placing is to be done then let’s have it at the very lowest at 25p and better at 29p. And let’s have it open to private investors too.
A real shame after all of these years of drilling and with the assets we have here, that the sp is still scrabbling around at these low levels.
Well let's just wait and see...
