Q, it's very clear the nature of his departure was not his choice - or if it was it was because he had no alternative. In these circumstances I consider it perfectly acceptable to go public, particularly as it's obvious he is not bound by a non-compete clause. My view is good luck to the bloke and I hope he finds something soon - if his announcement upset a few people, tough.
Btw, I haven't mentioned you lack of managerial experience for a very long time...but now you've mentioned it...
The question was rhetoric Quady, based upon the other posts, and certainly not something I'd want - but it is a valid question given that we don't seem to have much direction or oomph at the present time.
But that you for a post that doesn't mention the diverse book.
Good man
That's easy to answer seanhunter, it's because that's not the plan. The company has been crystal clear. It's to bring Cascabel and other tenements to production.
I have been busy today topping up DBW - hopefully this is the floor............
Unusually all O trades today …. So far
Addicknt your correct it was linkedin. Sorry no he shouldn't, when leaving a company in his position, he would have been renumerated for it. When I left my employer as a technical analyst, I was not allowed to apply for any job with the competition for 6 months.
As you repeatedly point out I have never run a company or even being a manager. But I feel Ingo should have least acted in a professional manner.
If we really have become nothing more than a hugely expensive cash burning job creation scheme, why shouldn't the whole project be mothballed, trading halted and the share price suspended at 22p until we can find a buyer for the whole kit and caboodle?
Q, I think IH posted on Linkedin not Twitter. As you know, Linkedin is the place people go when they're looking for a new job - so why was he being 'unprofessional'? The bloke needs a new job and there's nothing wrong with advertising the fact.
Under normal circumstances companies do not announce the hiring, or firing, of non-board members. However, with IH we did. Consistency suggests the company should have done the same with his departure. Failure to do so has led to much unnecessary speculation.
BTW, it's Fawzi, not Fawsi.
Another 11 trade this morning
DBW , tomorrow or Thursday my friend going to be blue skies enjoy
5 buys over 100k this morning and couldn’t budge it by the looks of things
Woody read what I wrote. I said communication should be official like in any other company.
The fact their has been no communication from the company on Ingo's departure is professional, as we will get an official communication when Solgold know his replacement and the timeline. We will get one, not the unprofessional Ingo tweet.
DBW that's my point, Fawsi according to the people who talk to him, doesn't give out anything we don't have. But the way it's communicated on this forum, is misleading. If you want to share what Faswi says, then don't paraphrase, print it in it's entirety.
DBW agree re lths
What information has Fawzi ever given anyone that’s not widely available….. he’s certainly never told me anything he shouldn’t
Quady you went full circle there, your conclusion is in fact the company should have made an official statement before IH did plus, it should shut Fawzi up? It is very clear they have no firm or clear information release strategy, it is amateurish and very damaging.
DBW, nothing is perfect.
I liked Ingo's input.
But he chose to be unprofessional and go on twitter.
This should have been a proper timed announcement, and may have impacted the current share price in a negative way.
Your correct on drill holes, but let's ask ourselves why that is.
We have investors on here talking to Fawsi, and then reading the RNS's.
Because we only get summaries from the people who talk to Fawsi, we end up with part of the story and trying to map it to official communication from the company.
It is not Solgold that have the communication problems.
It's Fawsi and Ingo who have not made their announcements in line with the company and gone off at a tangent. If Fawsi wants to give Shareholders information, it should come in an official communication.
Comms are not excellent…. How do is we find out Ingo left? Even you didn’t know whether we weee drilling the regionals yesterday …. Seriously?
DBW, communication from Solgold is excellent, the information you are asking for, you can have if you're sitting at the top table.
I am mostly invested in FTSE 100 and 250 companies for dividend income. These are all bigger companies than Solgold. None of them give the level of information that Solgold gives. Yes they give more RNS's, but they contain regulatory information like buybacks or how many shares in issue etc.
Simple question: If you like me believe Solgold can raise the funds and build Alpala, then eventually we get our payday.
If like addicknt you believe no one will lend us the money and we cannot build Alpala then it's a dangerous game, one we eventually lose.
It's that simple.
Ok maybe a poor example
Blanca?
Rio?
Etc …. The point is comms aren’t great to say the least
Don’t get me wrong I’m actually adding stock at these levels just don’t think shareholders are being treated well
Addicknt the only person talking nonsense on here is you. When we did the cashbox offer, I said we could, you never even heard of such a thing. Because I couldn't remember that it was called a cashbox offer, you said I didn't know what I was talking about. You said NM would be ousted after the vote. He is still here. The plan was always to replace NM as we proceeded to production, agreed the vote sped things up.
You said after BHP ended it's standstill agreement, that it would all be over by Christmas. ( That was years ago ).
We are taking the steps necessary to become a producer. You say not only we cannot go it alone, but no one will lend us the money. Your about to be proven wrong again for the infinite time. In fact it would be helpful if you could tell this forum about something you got right.
Addicknt
There’s money to be made in mushrooms and especially truffles, so don’t knock it lol
Ok thanks
This was an RNS we got almost exactly a year ago, the next we hear is it’s one of the concessions being considered for a JV ….. it’s sun up everything wrong with the comms and why so many have seemingly lost faith , this should be a platform to discuss facts but without any it’s difficult….. hopefully the MD&A due any day will give us something tangible to discuss
Ø Drilling has commenced at the Santa Martha copper gold porphyry target at the Sharug Project as part of an initial six-hole drilling program testing extensive coincident surface geochemical and geophysical anomalies
Ø Mineralisation at Santa Martha is part of a 600m wide by 1,200m long northeast trending corridor containing mineralisation styles, size and geometry consistent with surface exposure of a vertically extensive, well-preserved copper-gold porphyry system
Ø The Santa Martha target is characterised by coincident soil Cu, Au, Mo soil geochemistry, porphyry style alteration, and a classic magnetic high surrounded by an annular magnetic low
Ø All scout drilling regulatory approvals have been received for 13 drilling platforms to accommodate multiple holes at the Santa Martha target
Commenting on today's release, Mr Jason Ward, Executive Director and Country Manager for SolGold in Ecuador said:
"Santa Martha displays all of the classic porphyry copper gold signatures that SolGold has recognised through Ecuador and define the blueprint we developed at the tier 1 Alpala project. The permitting and organisation of the Santa Martha programme further endorses SolGold's pan Ecuadorean activities and strategy and are a testament to our hard-working team and supportive government and communities.
It's a further step to becoming a large and integrated explorer, developer and producer in Ecuador, on the most under explored and prospective section of the Andean Copper Belt. SolGold is dominant in Ecuador's exploration effort and results to date endorse this strategy."
Q, I could have guessed you'd turn up with your usual nonsense.
