DBW you and Redknight both have me filtered.
Strange that you can both see my posts.
Q …. He has you filtered and you know it, just stop with the insults and insinuations and try contributing something useful
That makes total sense cadelle but they win't get beyond December after today's mess...
Trust me Redknight no one is accusing you of having insider information.
I wouldn't accuse you of even having the relevant information and being able to put it together and come up with reasonable scenario's.
Jerry. I sold the shares immediately after reading the RNS...
The correspondence came much later.
Please don't ever accuse me of dealing on insider information, that is a very serious accusation.
So Redknight agrees with me on another issue.
He said NM was finished, now he says he is in the driving seat.
Redknight seems to ignore NM's voting power.
Norges 3.96%. Blackrock were at 4.3% now at 5.6% I believe. While the pi's seemingly wet themselves, the big money is gradually building with interest.
Volume at just over 1m today suggests perceptions of 'dire straights' lives in the minds of the people that just don't understand how these things work out. The big money understands very well and I don't think they are ready to sell out for anything less than double their money.
SOLG's assets are world class. BHP have been scrabbling around trying to gain some copper and gold assets after their Coal exit. They haven't done too well recently on that front and their investors are wondering what on earth is going on and whether the first move advantage is disappearing.
If a bid comes tomorrow, it really wouldn't surprise me at all.
FOMO lives here and the likes of Sean et al, wake up each morning fearing that bid RNS. Don't beat yourself up when it does land and you miss out. Life goes on and all that.
RK. If you have information that you can’t share, how did you think it was ok to sell 200k shares?
Sharket Mare thats the best post you've ever made.
Right on the money...except on who 'sacked' who...just look carefully where the influence really lies...
Thanks RK- happy to be proved wrong.
Best of luck and keep the faith here.
Don't worry addickt...I'm in contact with Fawzi...and others, including prospective financiers of SOLG...
There is much more to this than meets the eye...
Excellent post Fort.
I would just add one thing...
Yes Nick and now the rest will get booted in December, and...
SOLG is not only Nick's but also DGR and CGP's get rich quick scheme...
While he was CEO he had total influence but he made some serious errors of judgement.
He only dodged a bullet because Twigger decided to flout UK corporate governance and delay putting the entire Board up for re-election for a year. As he said to me "to put Nick up for re-election I would have to put the whole Board up...what would you do...?" I told him but he ignored it...
So NM remains in a totally anomalous position.
A plc Director must be either an Executive Director or an Independent Director, but he is neither...
So...somehow, NM and the 'Brisbane mafia' has to engineer a bid before the AGM...
DGR are short of cash; CGP are short of cash; neither wants to do a cash raise or sell SOLG shares and their SP is depressed.
So...while I agree that NM's interests coincide with ours (he wants SOLG sold for the highest possible price), he is not doing out for us...he's doing it for himself...and now he's driving the bus again...
who would trust them to manage any proceeds wisely. sell the whole and stop the joke.
Seems to me that it is not in the interest of any of the big shareholders for Solgold to develop Cascabel, though for varying reasons. Sooner or later our BOD will have to recognise the only way forward is to auction off Cascabel and then use the proceeds to finance Porvair et al.
Qualibashi
I understand your logic but I'm afraid you aren't correct in tour surmise of the CFO's departure...
What I do now know is that both she and DC have integrity. In the afternmath of a bidding war I'll let you know why if you wish.
But trust me, I do know what I appear to know...more anon when I'm able...
The SP seems to be recovering though, my 20p could be way off, hopefully it is..
You're wrong jezzoo, the two things I've backed quady on is I don't believe a bid is coming and the relentless bullying from slug. Do I think a sale is needed Absolutely!
Jezzoo everytime you post you become more ridiculous, I know a few posters on here, but they post so infrequently and have small holdings compared to myself. But like me have incomes built on dividends. (we don't converse on chatrooms)
I do not know any of the persistent posters on here.
But that's not going to convince the likes of you.
For all the spin and speculation on here today, this company is in dire straits and we as shareholders deserve better.
Since Darryl has taken over, he has:
- delivered a watered down PFS to which the market reaction was to shrug its shoulders
- awarded himself stock options
- sacked our interim CFO and the person responsible for raising finance for Cascabel, with no explanation to shareholders
- sacked our new CFO, 6 weeks in to her new job
- sacked the metallurgy manager on SOLG's books
- gone through a failed fundraising exercise, spooking the market
- appointed an ex BHP chum as yet another interim CFO
- left shareholders in the dark about what the revised company strategy is (clue, it certainly isn't taking Cascabel to production)
This is absolutely no way to run a listed company. We are now in a very precarious position, with around 4 months to go before what will be another testing AGM, and our funds dwindling by the day.
Time for Darryl and team to get on an investor call and be held to account for the utter mess that has been created over the last few months.
Nick Mather - a penny for your thoughts please. What the hell is going on here.
Fawzi responded to my note and said he'd share my thoughts internally (I'm guessing anyone else who wrote would have received the same response).
Assuming he does share with DC, can I repeat my suggestion that all of those who are similarly concerned send him an email. Our voice needs to be heard.
Massive always backs Quady up almost immediately ? He's either Quady's alter ego, related to Quady, is infatuated with Quady or is simply a trouble maker masquerading as a good guy.
In any event it makes me feel a little queasy.
So I'll be filtering them as many others have already done, it'll be innocuous little green boxes instead.
Bliss......
I get that Sean, you're right about trading this not much in it at all and the reason I took the smallish profit yesterday.
Ray I think you've got to be honest, at least with yourself - it's your money, you are NOT on a journey with anyone else. I've historically been a trader with SOLG, having been led up the hill to 40p and down again once too often. i really did believe a bid was coming this summer, because, as an explorer we've really come as far as we can afford to go. The company is too big now, the wage bill is enormous, the ambitions are absurd. where else is there to go except get bought out?
As a trader, if I beleived we could even sustain this level now then I'd happily buy £5k worth of shares at 22.2p and sell at 23.2p, then repeat, repeat, repeat - that's what I've been doing for years. But my gut tells me as soon as I buy £5k at 22.2 we'd be at 21p then 20p within days. Traditionally since 2017 the 19p level was the bottom (the Covid panic was an exception), but even at 19p I doubt I'd be tempted. I do not know what is holding us up even at these levels right now, because there isn't a scrap of good news on the table on or the horizon.
Tough times.
Seanhunter I see today's announcement as surprising, so like everyone else waiting for clarification. I would be even more surprised if we see single figures. We just have to watch developments. I think now they need to put some meat on the bone.
It matters not, believe it or not there's a few on here that I've come to like and I hope they make a fortune for being real and honest.
