Who is really pulling the strings now? The assumption appears to be that it's NM, but surely that can only be the case if CGP and he have kissed and made up? Years of out-right animosity and public disdain put to one side.
CGP appear to be in control now, why has this been allowed to happen before the merger has been completed?
What was the real reason behind DC's disappearance? Was he really siding with BHP? If that was the case, why did he sign off on the funding package? Indeed, why did he even start the process of another royalty deal?
Are the departures of AS, IH and DC all linked? Seems unlikely, but the timing is surprising.
What's Twigger's role in all of this? My personal view is that he's much more influential than perhaps we've given him credit for.
What are our non-execs up to? Are they merely the standard glove puppets, or are any of them actually exerting real influence? I think we have nine or ten of them...the same number as HSBC!
It's very obvious that CGP insisted on the strategic review as a pre-condition of the merger, was this at the heart of DC's ejection?
In some ways you could say all of this is irrelevant because it's already happened. But for me, the answers to these questions will dictate which route we are going to take.
no guys my point is , if we get squeezed into a no cash situation without an offer? Then where do we go?
No offer means we're all fooked.
Can the majors sit back and watch royalty deals being given out left right and centre and see a piece of the pie gone forever each time?
The Fact Henry commented on the deal, as Warren pointed out says it all. Just a bit more patience needed.
I get that Monte , what if nobody make s an offer? That's the gamble as I see it.§
The very fact that they are having a strategic review would indicate that the present strategy is not working .
Hopefully the pay day is coming
I'm only thinking how long they drag this out? How many more cash calls etc? I am pleased to see DC out , I do believe he was working for BHP. It just all seems too good to bed true to me , how can it all be coming together so effortlessly?
The one comfort I do have is....if SOLOG are prepared such a premium for CGP there must be an end result in sight .
Cov a multi billion$ game of poker with a countries future throw into the mix.
Just imagine the lengths bhp(or another company) would go to, to take the pot.
A great weekend with you Richbetter , very pleased to meet you :)
Stick I hear you , is it a poker game? Uncertain times for the little fella
Cov if tue majors don't offer, then what is the point of the junior explorer?
Then the whole sector comes crashing down.
We have a tier 1 and lots of games being played....have some faith.
We are on a downward spiral. It's been already said , the majors can just sit back and watch it all unfold. That is the big risk. We cannot just keep on raising 50m£ or dollars here and there , something has to give.
If it doesn't , the PI gets wiped out , the others bigger investors will always get a return and it wouldn't hurt them as much as me and others here.
I told you Bubble the other day , like me , you have nothing to offer here so stick to 1 and 11 trades. I'm filtered by you . haven't relaxed since , but it's out there for you to read should you take me back into the fold.
Sell it and the risk is gone. Sometimes the simple solutions are the best ones.
something to consider in the strategic/risk review
Richbetter, lunchmoney- BHP and all other major producers in South America are aware of these and many other above ground risks and know how to mitigate them. Case in point, issues at Chilean mine ;
"BHP Group Ltd cut its annual copper production outlook on Thursday as operations at its Escondida project in Chile were impacted by labour shortages due to rising covid-19 cases, while road blockades associated with social unrest in the country blocked access to the mine. Chile, the world’s top copper producer, earlier this month sued BHP, among other miners, over alleged environmental damages caused by its operations in the Atacama salt flats."

Las Bambas mine
"The huge Las Bambas copper mine in Peru has started to reduce operations due to recent blockades, the mine said in a statement Thursday."

Can't expect Australia styled low above ground /political risk in South America - If that was the case solg would already be valued above 100p imo.
A brush with locals ..what a load of rubbish for goodness sake dyor and move on from such tripe being spouted on here imho
The mining framework has changed significantly in the past two years, specifically as it relates to Cascabel.
Ah, back to previous form I see.
RichBetter - those problems were with protestor backed by illegal miners who weren't happy at all the companies being awarded licences in areas they were plundering.
The constitutional court quickly set the prevent for challenge but it didn't stop investors taking flight in the meantime, such was the uncertainty.
Time of what? The nonexsistant problem with the locals?
Solgold have had a great relationship with the locals. There have been issues with indigenous folk in other parts of the country but not local to cascabel.
Merely commenting Qaudy, any idea who I was commenting on ?
Anyone else know ?
So your point is...
When did we have a brush with the locals at cascabel?
I see Jezzoo our chief stirrer is stirring again.
