Okay we have 50 million for the 0.6% of Cascabel royalty deal.
Is this latest 36 million dollars for the purchase of CGP'S Solgold shares.
Or is it separate.
At first glance it looks like its separate.
The book just became even more diverse.
If its the original CGP shares then BHP'S and NCM'S dilution is penciled in.
If not they just got diluted further.
Who kept saying about 25p?
Some will still say that a sale is imminent......lol.
What will it take lads????
So we've just taken $50m from Osisko and pushed back on all studies yet we're taking $36m more for equity down here...
Make it make sense.
The rampers have done it again...
About- 16.83p
Only 30M new as 155m from cgp is that correct?
.. incrementally kills the eventual possible reward. Turning into a confetti share company.
The Board of Directors of SolGold (LSE & TSX:SOLG) is pleased to announce that investors, including Jiangxi Copper (Hong Kong) Investment Company Limited ("Jiangxi"), (the "Investors") have agreed to purchase 180,000,000 shares (the "Investment Shares") at a price of US$0.20 per share (the "Investment"). Jiangxi has agreed to purchase 155,000,000 of the Investment Shares. The Investment Shares are expected to raise gross proceeds of US$36,000,000.
Here comes the Chinese!!
Nice
2Luke - I don't disagree with you on virtually of that.
I'm just trying to make the point to CovGaz that when he buys in 7 years ago 3-5bags was probably a reasonable expectation over the time horizon.
Obviously things haven't worked out that way for reasons we all know about and that is another source of immense frustration.
Price is where it is for the exact reasons you mention. A severe discount is being applied because the market knows SolGold has no ability to bring this asset through to the production. Recent RNS' on the strategic review are the company agreeing with that view.
I agree that it's ultimately sensible that the company re-prioritises and takes this line now so as not to burn through the Osisko funds.
On your final point, I'm not sure how coy Mather was. He was trying to build SolGold into being the next major producer and he got crucified by those investors (like CGP) who didn't see the same vision for the company/asset and wanted it sold then. Mather was accused of letting his ego get in the way.
You have answered the very question you and some others have constantly posed on this very forum.
Why is no one buying the shares (thereby propping up the share price) to make everyone feel better?
Because this is not going to 5 bag from here, that train left many years ago. 2 bagger? Maybe, possibly even likely. 3 bagger? Doubtful but I would not mind being very mistaken at all. Look at how much BHP paid for OZL, and people here still want to hold out for £1.
And all serious money in the world has heard of Solgold, and if they wanted in, they have bought in already. Unlike hopeless retail investors all over the world, they don't keep 'topping up' every time the share price goes down.
The current share price does not necessarily suggest all the nefarious possibilities that many of you like to suggest. It simply reflects how the market is pricing the company's possible reward relative to its risk.
I am glad to see the back of value-adding activities like DFS because it adds no value to this company. What exactly is the company supposed to do with a DFS if it's not going to develop the project?
The question is not whether there is a buyer for Cascabel. Of course there is, probably several. Individually or jointly. It is only a matter of price once interested parties are dragged to the table, something NM never quite managed to do for various reasons, but maybe CGP can. They certainly aren't being coy about their intentions, unlike NM.
SOLG closed at 18.27 equivalent on TSX...
Ronaldo has left the Club (thank God) and...
The Glazers are putting it up for sale (17 years late...)
anon you certainly seem confused...
You "haven't a clue what (the company) is going to do, but you seem to post a lot of opinions about it, including these two in consecutive posts:
"It's a long term play, simple, because that's what building a mine is."
"Quady, I've never felt production is the most likely outcome."
This is going to be sold...soon...so I hope you're fully loaded because at least you're going to make m oney here sooner than in your first love Polymetal...
OK I'm glad you didn't take it personally because it was good natured...
5.5m a day for three weeks is not "tiny' in SOLG terms...anything but...today's volume was the 11th highest since June 1 2021...thats about 350 trading days...
CovGaz - if you're happy with 100% return in 7 years then why have you chosen a copper gold junior operating out of South America?
You could have earned that level of return by taking significantly less risk over the same timeframe.
This is what I mean when I say people don't understand why they bought and won't realise there's a lack of similar options waiting for their money next. This is a stock you should have been looking at 3-5 bags from at a 26p entry.
I'm not Addicknt. I understand his importance in the current situation.
I just won't rate him until he delivers for us, and by delivering I mean 250-300% from here. Not 100-120%.
I called a sell out at 55p many years ago , I can find the post for anyone that doubts me. I can't understand the frustration at the takeout price? I can understand the timeframe , we all want it now. Personally I am in at an average of 26p , so even a 52p takeout doubles my money , I would be happy as Larry. After all , many here claim to be in at 4-10p , so what's the problem with you guys? I guess it would all depend ion how much any one person has invested. If I can double 30k within 7 years I'm happy , that's a good return .
I am just not too sure of the timeframe, is it next year or 2026/27.
That is my only issue here. It will happen , but when?
Never mind anon at least it will be 30p by this Friday !
chat, where everyone thinks they know everything, but in reality they know nothing.
This company has me bamboozled and I don't have a clue what it's going to do.
The big difference is I can readily admit it.
Bozi
No one said we were owed a sale but the last two or three years have simply been an exercise in burning cash and adding no value when everyone pretty much knew a sale was the end goal .
I’m saying the direction has changed ….. it may not be of my own choosing but I feel that something may now actually happen for a change. With all the bluster from Sangha they need to follow up .
I haven’t always been an advocate of a sale I was just stating the obvious that it was the only logical outcome, from my point of view .
Now all the pieces are “seemingly “ falling into place I’d just like to see this done and dusted that’s all
Bozi, I most certainly understand your frustration. I think you are underestimating Sangha's role. He is now advising the company as well as having a significant shareholding, so he's very far from simply being a gobby bystander.
