Then they'll cancel the FNV and Osisko deals and issue themselves a load of equity, before parcelling up SOLG between themselves...
Is that what you want?
It's the board versus QuADy this morning !
Quady is right about the diverse book making it harder for an outright sale but it's not insurmountable.
With the forecast on the price of copper nobody is going to get it cheap but any reasonable price will look cheap in two years time and not an ounce of it will have been mined in that period, time is on the side of the big boys, the miniscule pot of cash SOLG has amassed lately is a drop in the ocean in the grand scheme of things.
The smartest thing SOLG have done recently is almost give away %ages of future profits for peanuts, that should scare any potential buyer as it's it's a ransome strip they will have to pay dearly for in order to have 100% tenure.
Yes I know it's more complicated than that but tbh I have a life away from this board and you know what the details would be without me spelling them out to you.
Red just said everything I was thinking
The Board of Directors is appointed by...the Board of Directors...
BHP and NCM have a right to appoint a Director each, so who will they appoint after that...?
sjn...
If the Board is removed it will be mainly because BHP/NCM have voted their 27% for that...
So who do you think will be running the company after that and appointing their own 'tame' directors...
Di you take more than 10 seconds to come up with this idea that could see you getting a fraction of what SOLG is worth?
What does it matter if there is a vacuum at the BOD level, there already is with many of the existing directors doing the right thing and standing aside, because of the Solgold BOD incompetence they have effectively handed over the keys to Cornerstone to drive the thing going forward. One of the things they highlighted in this announcement was to prevent BHP / NCM gaining control without making a bid now what we effectively have done have given control to Cornerstone with only 6 odd % of Solgold and 15% of ENSA now in control without them making a bid but in fact being paid a premium in Solgold shares for the privilege via the merger. All this because the incumbent Solgold BOD screwed things up, how can any one vote for and reward that? Best to get rid of the lot of them and bring in new talent to drive the sale process forward.
Bubble can you show the calculations how you get to those figures please, with an explanation and the math.
79p starting bid for cascabel £1:32 for the lot imho let's see who's right
Question to everyone on this chat forum.
Why do you think at this stage Solgold is cashing up.
It's certainly not for a bid.
Why have we taken a 50 million royalty that can only be used to advance Alpala.
It's certainly not for a bid.
Why have we acquired 36 million for restarting and targeting our exploration program.
It's certainly not for a bid.
Why has the strategic review said we are looking at hydroelectric and a greater recovery rate in the first years.
It's certainly not for a bid.
Smickster that's my whole point for years, BHP cannot make a bid because of the diverse book.
Not many on here understand.
In order to make a bid that would be successful they can do it in one of two ways.
First way: They can talk to the major holders and find out what they would sell for. Good luck with that one, as no one is selling cheap.
Second way: They can launch a hostile bid and as such they would understand it would have to be of such a size that the major holders would sell
That would be even more expensive.
Addicknt has been constantly wrong on this.
The diverse book has protected us from bids. And still does.
Addicknt doesn't understand this.
fair price for it, or it goes elsewhere.
Good morning DBW a low ball bid for me is a moving target.
As we have proven up more. But because we don't have a PEA for Porvenir then any bid would be only a percentage of Alpala at any given point in time.
So I recently said between 30% to 40% of NPV at this stage.
So between 46 pence to 61 pence.
That's what I consider a low bid.
As nothing else is taken into account.
Quady, we never received an offer from bhp because they preferred to wait and disrupt and get the whole company on the cheap.
Our fight over the last few years has been to try and stop that.
If they want it they can at anytime pair a fair prove for it or it goes elsewhere.
Is that simple
Bubble, but I wasn't wrong at the time:) He's changed and therefore my opinion of him has changed. He got there in the end!
Bubble …. Really?
He claimed we would take this to production and yet claims to be the only person on the board who has been right from the start ….. how can I “respect “ that in any way ?
I always wondered about the negative vibes coming from this bb and wondered if it was a simple game to try and make people sell up and create a market.
It's clear that it's a bit more than that when people are clearly trying to influence pi votes in favour of large corporations.
Stick with it genuine holders and ignore the noise.
Backing the board all the way with their large shareholders who have the same interests as me.
Addicknt that's crazy, what stops BHP making an offer now.
You have completely reversed your position into almost completely agreeing with me.
It is I that have been correct as we never received a bid from BHP over the years because of the diverse book and the fact we could defend.
Yet you say we were in a weak position because we were going to production.
That makes absolutely no sense, because we never even got a sniff of a bid.
Here's a news alert.
We are still going to production with a JV as this as I repeat looks to be the most likely outcome.
Still you are saying we will get a bid with zero evidence.
For which you have not been wrong once, but every single time.
Dbw he seems to get a few things wrong but respect his comments none the less everyone has a right to post there opinions all abeit they wearing thin now quady :):), copperpot takes kids to school!!!:)
Q “Lastly it was I that said we could defend against any low ball bid
It is me that has been correct and you have been proven wrong yet again”
What do you consider a low ball bid ?
Addicknt fair comment there least you admit when you were wrong
Q, of course BHP were in a strong position if we went down the production route...we wouldn't be able to fund it and they'd stuff us. Exactly what I was warning against. I'm sorry, but the rest of your post makes no sense whatsoever.
“Sorry addicknt you have a habit of spinning things to pretend you didn't say something”
Lol the irony
Q, the one thing I will accept is that I voted against NM at the agm in 2020. This was entirely down to the fact he was pursuing a nonsense strategy, which of course he's now reversed. Therefore, he has my vote this time.
Sorry addicknt you have a habit of spinning things to pretend you didn't say something.
You just contradicted yourself again.
You said BHP was in a strong position if we adopted the production route.
So because you are voting you believe BHP are in a strong position and we are heading to production.
Otherwise your latest post make's no sense.
Lastly it was I that said we could defend against any low ball bid
It is me that has been correct and you have been proven wrong yet again.
And what do you think will happen to a company with no Biard of Directors...?
It'll get taken over by BHP for peanuts...
Numpty
