Holding RNS just out
Strange about 8 million pounds, nothing that has happened equates to that amount.
It may be possible that CGP have sold a stake, however that doesn't equate either, as the price is too low.
Last thought is that someone has been trading off book and building a position and it's now getting declared.
The Trade Flag was TNCP
"Executions not subject to current market price will be identified for post trade reporting as “TNCP”"
Maybe somebody can explain this...
"MiFIR requires certain trades to be flagged as a ‘transaction not-contributing to
price formation’ (TNCP) (or similar). The TNCP flag includes technical
transactions, such as collateral transfers, give-ups and give-ins, and inter-
affiliate trades undertaken for operational purposes. However, it also includes a
number of transactions that may represent an economic trading interest, such
as benchmark trades (see Appendix A2 for more detail). Given this, it is
possible that applying a filter based on the TNCP flag alone may over-estimate
the number of technical transactions. On the other hand, it is not clear that all
technical transactions will have been identified as TNCP. For example, in Q1
2021 there were 540 trade sub-condition codes within the SI and OTC
categories across the European equity market universe.9 While some of these
codes have not been explicitly flagged as ‘TNCP’, the precise economic nature
of the transaction is not clear from the available information."
Bubble, only if the buyer already had a notifiable interest, or this purchase pushed them over the percentage.
So the question is, who were the sellers?
42 million shares would indeed warrant an RNS explanation imho
Would that be on the stock exchange ?
I don’t know the answer fort but would of thought selling of
Cornerstone shares would be like private placing or selling
Oh hello tick tock tick tock ....something definitely afoot ,am away early fishing so guess will miss the news ,gla our time may have come
Remember, CGP can loan the shares to SOLG or sell them pre merger as long as funds are retained and pooled into newly merged company.
Just a hunch, but I reckon it might be CGP selling 1.8% to Chinese or Mitsui.
Perhaps the cash raised will help placate TSX when it comes to potential cash offer for CGP holders (which some might take) rather than SOLG shares.
Surely the big significance is 19.20 paid...?
Could it have been the completion of an order put together over the last 3 weeks...?
Worked pre agreed deal at 19.2p. Absolutely no idea who's decided to part with 45million SOLG shares at 19.2p.
But whoever picked them up must be delighted.
Distressed seller?? Seems we've had loads of stock available over last few weeks so could be the end of the sellers tail?
Chinese are due to get their stock on or before Friday, so 180m shares due to be issued soon.
Interesting times as ever at SOLG towers.
RNS, TR1 tomorrow...? Jinagxi or Mitsui...?
anon3, I am wondering the same. Going to be interesting to find out what just happened.
Its correct...45470954 total volume today...
How can you get buys like that and the SP falls?
Answer, you don't.
They must already have been delayed from yesterday and probably longer, I'd have thought?
Interesting buying though.
And no, I don't think it's a prospective bidder or an ITK (some idiot is bound to suggest it).
1.8% Jiangxi or Mitsui...?
Volume today 45.2 million !
What the hell ? 40 million ?
Red, is that you ? Lol
Quady and Tos1963- use the filter button . Then you don’t have to read the posts that so offend you . It’s so simple ...
It'll be red averaging down his dog walker's friend's holding
