Yep, good find and now the clock is ticking!! Any super major really won't want to hang about now as every week is a potential profit week in future years.
Game on.
Nice find

"Este año cerraremos con USD 2.800 millones por concepto de exportación minera. La mina Cascabel ha tramitado el permiso para entrar en etapa de explotación, los geólogos son optimistas con las cifras de esta mina”.
"This year we will close with USD 2,800 million for mining exports. The Cascabel mine has processed the permit to enter the exploitation stage, geologists are optimistic with the figures for this mine”.
So Nick got 76% of 1.4 billion before the meeting, i.e.1.064 billion...
It would take a 93% total votes cast to dethrone him...thats not going to happen...
If the number is 1.6 billion, even if everyine else voted against him he would have 67% of the vote...
I also do not believe the relentless BHP feel they have to own this asset, theory that is peddled here endlessly. The Oz minerals deal did highlight their priorities in my opinion.
We as investors really do need Maxit to engineer a monetising event with anyone.. ideally anyone but BHP, if they are to finally reveal their intentions.
DBW, I get the feeling that NCM and BHP have been completely put back in their box. They no longer have any major influence and what they did have will be diluted further post merger.
The bottom line is this... it looks like they couldn't be @rsed with doing the basic TR1 filing requirements and they couldn't be bothered voting at the AGM.
FWIIW, I think BHP decided back in June/July (when the newspaper reported a possible SOLG buyout deal) that they would not go for SOLG and instead went for OZ Minerals. After BHP's move for Oz Minerals, everything changed. SOLG's SP headed south, and CGP/Mather et al kicked into action with merger.
You can't rule BHP out at all and if Chinese off 30p for ENSA then BHP might counter that or another out there might come in, but I just get the feeling that BHP are no longer interested.
I would be stressed if I had as many shares as Nick......
has he thrown any eggs yet?
Thanks Coldcut
Ok thanks
This is exactly the type of situation he likes getting involved in.
I could tell you a pretty unedifying story about this bloke, but discretion is probably called for - particularly as it involves a friend of mine.
My shares are held with Halifax and there is no mention of a Unique SRN or PIN on the Proxy Form. (I didn't trust the post because of the form's late arrival and voted by email.)
Interesting
If BHP / NCM hold over 25% between them and Nick received 76% support it
Would seem that one of the above may have either abstained or voted in his favour. Maybe NCM have realised that voting with BHP will not result in the best return on their” strategic investment “…. Just a thought
“ Warning: Scammers are masquerading as representatives of Harwood Capital. Beware of unsolicited investment offers and other requests.”
Warning on their homepage…. Lol, maybe it’s them in our AGM
If it is Mill's vehicle we can guarantee some fireworks. He's a particularly unpleasant activist investor.
DM, fair point, but most of us don't get proxy forms.
No, they were not withdrawn. Of the proxies cast before the meeting: resolution 12 = 80.26% in favour; resolution 13 = 80.00%
Is that Harwood which is controlled by Christopher Mills?
What about the special resolutions? We’re they voted on or withdrawn like last year?
Voting was closed during each section with a 60 second closing window
That's it I'm afraid.
On to auditors now so guess main votes done unless anything else we are waiting for.
Byb the looks of it no major disruption.
Do we expect any of the others to get voted against?
Yes thank you Smickster.
smick, thanks. I've still got steam coming out of my ears.
Dan Vujcic 73%
Looks like we know who the 24% was lol!
