TheItalian, we made the announcement in Canada, so I can only assume that UK regulatory requirements don't necessitate we do so here, although given the size of the transaction and its importance, this strikes me as being very odd.
Not sure why folks are concerned with the lack of SOLG RNS. So far all that has made progress is on the CGP side and even there is plenty of cautionary notices and forward looking statements. When SOLG needs to report actual progress on the SOLG side there will be an RNS. Just chill.
Maybe any news will come CGP until the arrangement is closed? They won't exist after month end, so it's over to Solgold then. I wonder if there will ever be a name change for the company?
;-)
Certainly frustrating, we have not heard from Solgold as regards this monumental event. They certainly know when to appeal to us, the PI's when the chips are down. Hope our disappointment is reversed with communication soon?
Evening all l.th’rs it’s a real shame we have to get all this news via cornerstone c.g. Solgold needs a kick up the a**e for not communicating with its shareholders (bonjour les imminent news) please wait 6-8 months for translation.Anyhows good luck and happy new year
Tsx bouncing
Wonderful news dinner money, defo should hit 18p tomorrow then ;))
Easyp typo apols
Easton, intresting they certainly are being starngled a bit
From the FT today an interesting story about one of the worlds biggest copper mine operators getting screwed over by greedy national government. This is perhaps both a warning for SOLG and a come on for anyone looking to bid?
"First Quantum Minerals has threatened to close its vast copper mine in Panama if it fails to resolve a tax dispute that it says risks damaging the country’s business-friendly reputation.
Panama has demanded that the Canadian group pay corporate tax of at least $375mn a year along with a profit-based mineral royalty of 12-16 per cent, a steep rise on the $61mn FQM paid to Panama on a project that raked in $1.4bn of gross profit in 2021.
The Canadian group’s chief executive Tristan Pascall said it would put its flagship project, responsible for 1.4 per cent of global copper supply, into “care and maintenance” if the country did not offer certain legal protections.
Moor Hall is outstanding but, like L'Enclume, no longer worth the money...
Forest Side for lunch is excellent value...
Happytom only lived around the lakes 56yrs so don't know much about area really :)
stop at moor hall in Lancashire on way home... greatest restaurant by far
We're sitting on a 'goldmine'...
But Canadian market unimpressed... CGP 4.21....SOLG 0.29...
Got a booking at 3 weeks notice...insane...
1863 on Thurs, Forest Side Fri then home...
old stamp house is superb.... your in for a treat...
You have to be kidding Orthern....inch and a half today...so far...
Old Stamp House tmrw...
Done Ullswater but the Sharow Bay closed down...
I spend 10 months a year living in the shadows of the Barclays tower at Canary wharf..... Its pretty grim on days like today... makes the rain in Ullswater a paradise.
nonsense - grew up there but now live in a big city and realise just how amazing it is year round, just put a thick coat and decent set of boots on yer feet and then get a nice warm pint of Cumberland on the way home (none of that Yorkshire rubbish thank you very much!).
I am surprised solgold not released any news re merger maybe they have indeed got more to put in than cgp last night
Orthencopper ,not in the winter ,I live round the corner
Red... 'But we will surely get some sort of drill news sooner or later '
If there was any drill news worth releasing it would have happened by now.... they clearly have no drill news... or nothing worthy of a release. People cling to the idea of Solg maybe holding back on drilling news that will support the price, like a comfort blanket.. Solg have never held back good drill results... ever.... only poor drill results.
get over to Ullswater.... beautiful place!
Lol Q …. I think he’s over on ADVFN….. you seem obsessed with him, I’m sure if you talk about enough he’ll be back ….. then we’ll all have you to thank for that as well….
Sean.... you say “ and hopefully not wasting any money drilling. ” and, as you also point out, we have plenty cash in the bank.
Given that we are, allegedly, an exploration company, which hold numerous time constrained exploration licenses.... doesn’t that worry you?
