https://www.londonstockexchange.com/news-article/SOLG/cascabel-exploration-update/14155462?lang=en. This was when we got the PEA, lots of information here Zoros. Why the hell I do this, I really don't know. Payback for Alpala, with no dilution, is between 3.5 to 3.8 years, gold is higher in price now, so expect that amazing figure to be even better. Also Zoros, please read the whole document, as we are currently having more drills constructed. Unsure if Covid19 has held this up, but more rigs on the way. This is to drill out the tenements, we have licences for. The last thing on anyone's mind at Solgold, is a distressed sell. This landscape is immense. Imagine if the PFS, with the updated figures say payback for Alpala, under three years. I imagine, everyone who lends money, will be queueing up to finance this. Solgold has lots of options. But read it for yourself. Don't try and spin it, with any conspiracy theory. Just read it, and digest the figures, and you will realise, that everything you have posted up to now, is misinformed, and just plain wrong.
Thanks for the link phat, great positive article for Solg!
GIANT WITH DEPOSITS IN EQUADOR
SolGold is already a different caliber, as the company has proven around ten percent of the newly discovered gold worldwide over the past ten years. The market value of SolGold amounts to 836.6 million CAD - with sufficient upside potential, because the company has had a copper-gold deposit in Equador with 21.7 million ounces of gold and 9.9 million tons of copper since 2012 and 92.2 million ounces of silver defined on the Alpala project. In the meantime, 13 projects have been identified that SolGold intends to advance rapidly with the help of the exploration plan drawn up at Alpala in order to promote the other regional projects.
As the top dog, SolGold is also the only company in the world with a pipeline of opportunities with the same geology, regulatory, tax and social environment. Given that the company's market value is still below CAD $ 1 billion and there are numerous projects in the pipeline, the value of SolGold should be significantly higher in the event of a takeover.
Could be game changing exposure with everything that's coming over the next 8/10 weeks.
I think this is going to be some roller coaster rise!!! belt up

Barrick Gold, Desert Gold, SolGold - Buffett's Berkshire gives the go-ahead
When on Friday evening the message ran on the ticker after hours that one of the richest people in the world is switching from banks to gold, that in itself would have received attention. But the fact that Warren Buffett and his investment company Berkshire Hathaway are now investing in the gold sector has a completely different quality for the investment community. Buffett has always refused to invest in gold; this new attitude towards the precious metal will be the starting gun for a rally among new investor circles. In addition to Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Tesla, gold stocks obviously also belong in the depot. An exciting week on the stock market with buying opportunities begins.
For CGP It must feel like coming to the end of a Monopoly game when your opponent has Park Lane and Mayfair wrapped up with 4 hotels and you only have £500 left LOLzzzz....
Even you know Zoros , the payback for Alpala funding is under 4 years. Surely you know that.
Suspect events may force a re-evaluation of the need to finance through FN. most of the due diligence required by FN would be done without the need to visit Cascabel site. We are very close to learning the true direction for Solg, and it should prove to be rewarding. Anyway the clock is ticking and this will be sorted before October. That’s my opinion and it’s probably just as good as all the other guessing going on here.
Quady.....construction must be free then, sorry.
I must have missed webinar number 38 ....you know......the one u keep droning on about that I need to watch.
Bless.
Good evening Zoros, you state If a deal is struck to go to production with FNV then God help shareholders and the dilution (in one shape or another) that follows. NM would have to sell his grandmother to pay back a $2 + billion finance deal without impacting shareholders
For crying out load, I can think of 3 webinars in last 3 months, the most impressive by Ingo, that clearly states how this would be funded. The payback of the mine is under 4 years with financing and no dilution.
What are you on about, and please present your evidence. I have not read such nonsense.
Again you are making assertions on things you know nothing about. Instead of listening to the webinars, or asking questions.
To all those who laugh at the views I have... let's hear alternative views without getting ugly eh? We ALL know everyone knows sweet FA.
It's not over till the dimensionally challenged lady stops singing!
Danny. I'm a sell Alpala now proponent so my views are blinkered somewhat. I genuinely believe that bottom feeders like solg and ggp and cgp for example get swallowed up by the small group of majors out there. (To be fair there have been rare exceptions though).
I firmly believe solg will sell Cascabel within the next 12 months OR joint venture with a major. They will never go it alone.
Maybe a JV is being struck as we speak?
If a deal is struck to go to production with FNV then God help shareholders and the dilution (in one shape or another) that follows. NM would have to sell his grandmother to pay back a $2 + billion finance deal without impacting shareholders.......
Zoros, FN publicly stated that they'd be interested in about $1b's worth back in April/May (whenever it was announced). It's possible they are ironing that out, or even increasing it?! FN are raking in the cash with this gold price and looking for a home. They want value for money, and the cost goes up in a few months when the PFS comes out...
How do you see it playing out zoros?
I've just read 4 or 5 excellent logicall posts. WTF?
A breath of fresh air just entered the room!
I know cgp have their knickers in a twist over undisclosed information.
They may be onto something here....but for entirely the wrong reasons:
Solg and FNV are in ongoing discourse over funding ($100+ million..blah blah). This is PUBLIC knowledge right?
What if the situation has moved on since then, in that FNV just might be making noises about wrapping up the rest of the money too?
This is NOT public knowledge. But to cgp this is their beef. They suggest (because they know something is up) that this sort of undisclosed information should be made public - when in fact, it doesn't need to because the general matter has already been disclosed...and further dialogue (nothing firmed up) is not required to be aired.....yet.
Could be the reason for the delay...no? Call it a conspiracy theory if it makes you feel better but you can't rule it out.
I agree - talks about funding this with anyone else..should and must be disclosed at the earliest.
Whatever......the silence and the share price are conspicuous in nature.
Something's going to give and cgp are nervous..........
“Quick question.... genuinely meant..... if we are solely intent on going to production, what’s the perceived benefit of diverting time, effort, and much needed cash drilling the other locations at this point in time?”
I believe the answer is that if we don’t invest a certain amount within a certain timescale on each licence, we lose the licence.
A mining concession is granted for up to 25 years and may be renewed for an equal period. Once the mining concession has been granted, in medium-scale mining and large-scale mining the concessionaire shall comply with the following phases and terms:
(a) up to four years of initial exploration, i.e., surface exploration including geological mapping, geophysical surveys, and geochemical sampling (stream sediments, soils & rocks) and trenching (“Initial Exploration Phase”);
(b) up to four years of advanced exploration, including drilling (“Advanced Exploration Phase”); and
(c) two years of economic evaluation of the deposit (pre-feasibility and feasibility studies), which can be extended for an additional two-year period, and during which periods drilling activities may continue (“Economic Evaluation Phase”).
with BHP.
CGP face a huge bill they cannot pay. Pick shares up for peanuts and destroy spivs credibility forever.
WIN WIN for NM and US.
GLA
Quady, if NM can pull off the financing in a way that benefits existing shareholders, and I believe, given the rarity and quality of the resource (and the raging gold bull market), that it's entirely possible, then I'm happy to go down that route. The wind is certainly blowing in NM's favour currently, in that regard.
However, you have to ask, is BHP going to be satisfied with just 14%? Given the commodities that they are focussing on and given that they have stated that they prefer to control their assets, I just do not see how it is possible that BHP will not make a move at some point...
Solg have a contractural duty to spend xxx in each license or lose it. It would be a real shame to do the geo work and then lose a 2nd 3rd 4th etc Cascabel because we didn’t finish off the exploration. If we find another Cascabel in Say porvenir then it makes it far easier to give -for example- bhp a 49% share and operator status of Cascabel leaving us to concentrate on an almost certain porvenir.
We get a 35% free carry on Cascabel....wouldn’t that be wonderful
My guesses would be 1) if decent results keep coming in from other sites, it would increase the Solg share price which would provide better protection against a low ball takeover. At the moment it's largely priced on Alpala and doesn't reflect much if any value from the other prospects, 2) if some of the other sites could be mined by open pit, it could be possible to get producing a lot quicker than the complex block caving that's needed at Alpala, so possibly generating real revenue before Alpala would be producing, if that ever happened, and 3) Alpala would be 2025 at a minimum before it was producing so it would be rather poor planning to let the other sites sit idle for 5+ years without actually progressing them. Each site could be financed as a separate project. And Solg is an explorer after all, it should keep doing its day job and prove up other prospects even if it has aspirations of mining Alpala.
It's a fair question ToS1963. I can't answer that with any conviction. But here are my thoughts.
On Alpala we cannot proceed any faster than we are, this is going to be financed independently.
So we can continue with the other sites, and increase value, this allows the best use of our resources on the ground, and doesn't hold up Alpala, and they are separately funded.
Tos,
To prove to Cgp, Ecuadorian gov and anyone else looking in just what we have.
Would help on many fronts like funding going forward.
Quady with regards to FN and solg they have a ready made excuse to hold things back as I believe it suits solg to hold this news back.
Of course part of the progress is to complete this and they have stated the rest of the dd could be completed virtually.
I'm not saying anything untoward or illegal is happening just maybe we don't want it completed just yet and cv19 is the perfect excuse.
If the company was going to.fold tomorrow on the back of this funding I'm sure it would of been completed weeks ago.
Quick question.... genuinely meant..... if we are solely intent on going to production, what’s the perceived benefit of diverting time, effort, and much needed cash drilling the other locations at this point in time? Wouldn’t we be better reserving those resources for the massive job ahead? It just seems to me that we are saying one thing and doing another.
Oh dear Zoros, I know why you are upset. It's because I am not posting enough, my 30 day average is below 500 posts. Never mind, I promise to try and post more.
Again not listening or reading content, I have always said we may be brought out, however the evidence at the moment does not support a buyout, and NM has made no secret that he would sell at the right price.
So ask yourself a question, what is full value of Solgold and how much a share is that, and will a major pay that price.
I think the answer is no and so I take NM at his word, and we proceed to production and to add more value. The posters on here, that hold the opposite view to me, understand my point, just a few, that don't read, and assume what I mean.
As for Franco Nevada, ask yourself this. If it's not Covid19 holding this up, don't you think FN might have asked, why it's taking so long, well they haven't.
So we are left with two scenario's either NM is telling the truth, or FN are in on this, which I believe would be illegal.
What's the more likely scenario?
Quady. Sort your life out. You're covering both bases now regarding going to production and selling out.
You're also making it personal criticising individuals who don't conform to your ideals.
Grow up and let others have their views.
The Colonel is onto something. This final signature from FNV is taking an eternity and it could just be that a bigger deal is underway.
Surely this is good news and not a conspiracy theory?
Stop waffling...respond logically and we'll get on just fine.
Keep it coming Colonel.
