sjn1980 ah yes, thanks! Must admit that point hadn't really registered with me as a serious concern after I read the Crux report.
DBW, I've been wondering about the recommendation question since they first announced the establishment of the committee.
I'm sure it's not a "go, no go" issue (at least I hope not), but assume it's about design and strategic approach. Is that what others are thinking?
SHN ... thanks
Good luck with this BOZI... LOLzz
"EUA is a cracking short here Novicehunter. Sub 12p tomorrow."
sjn, well remembered.
“ is expected to update the market on the Pre-Feasibility Study ("PFS") and the recommendation by the Alpala Committee”
And what might those recommendations be ?.... or is it a fait accompli ?
Have not seen or been notified of any however I would not put it past some to spread what is in effect a malicious rumour?
Certainly interesting rcgl2, this was mentioned, but didn't apply to Solgold. For me the interesting part, is the understanding of the four year rule, after permits, not from start. I believe that gives us till 2028 to construct Alpala. Also mentions various financing being looked at to build Alpala. But if the clearing up of the tax situation has a positive effect on the price, then so much for the better.
It was in the CRUX report.
Exploration commitments for the 75 concessions that are not Cascabel are likely to be around three hundred million dollars in the next 2 years, possibly more. Under article 38 of the Ecuadorian mining law, if the Committed exploration budget that won the concession in the bidding process is not spent within the 4-year exploration cycle, the Company needs to pay the government a minimum of 80% of the uninvested total. Red Flag alert, Solgold is facing exploration and development study requirements of possibly US$340M in the next 2 years (estimates of US$360M of promised Exploration Commitments less estimates of US$20M completed). The company is faced with the choice of either diluting the capital structure, or selling exploration projects as they mature to fund the Company. Cash on hand as of 30 June was US$47M.
Maybe chatter amongst MMs?
rcgl, no, me neither.
"certain market commentary"?
But we here have literally read and discussed every article, note, tweet and mention of the company and I don't recall anyone suggesting these things?
Has anyone else heard the suggestion they are refuting?
Just give us some drill results, with NM gone I cannot see in whose benefit it is not o release them.
And very interesting it is.
I don't think a single one of us predicted this as being a possible reason for the recent decline of the sp, but it looks as if it may have been. Good to see the company offering a full explanation.
RNS ?
Ok Bozi maybe I took an emotional stance on things , you do come across as a genuine guy , apologies. Hands up .
I'd have told anyone who asked to short it at 40p too CovGaz. I'm not really sure where you're going with this.
If SolGold drops to 15p next week then I'll hold my hands up and say that I've got this wrong and wish everyone all the best.
It's not kicking anyone when they're down. Don't take it so personally.
Carry on...
I'm not rubbing anything in.
All these shares are traded on a stock market. People are entitled to take whichever side of the trade they like.
Someone could say they're going to short SolGold. Would you complain about that too? Go ahead is what I say to them.
I've lost money on shares before. Do I need anyone's sympathy? No. I take responsibility for my investments.
And finally, just to make myself crystal clear, I don't want anyone to lose money. Of course I don't. However, I realise that this is a virtue of the market as unfortunate as it is. For every buy there's a sell and for every winner there's a loser. It's just the way things are.
EUA could easily recover tomorrow and people claw funds back.
Leave them Quady.
These people need someone to blame.
Worse still they want Nick and the SolGold board to go on a similar ramping spree to what the EUA board did.
We're dealing with people who don't have a clue.
What do you want me to say CovGaz?
I'm really really sorry for anyone who lost a few quid today?
Look. It's part and parcel of investing. If people want to go and buy a crap company being pumped to high heaven by it's BoD they can do that but I'll have no time when the house of cards comes crashing down, as it has today.
And worse still, people are advocating a similar communication from the SolGold board. Ramp the sale and JV so people can trade a few shares... well it's just a bit tough.
Our wealth is decided by our investments. Those who wanted to see EUA for what it is did so. Of course it's unfortunate for those who did not.
Covgaz maybe I can help you out.
Just look at the volume nobody is shorting Solgold, trust me if they were, I would know it.
It's large companies that get shorted.
If you want to check which companies are being shorted, and by how much, there are many free sites you can use.
I will post one I use, not saying it's the best, but you can also use others, as their is no shortage of information.

I am Quady , short this fecker. In other words , kick a man when he's down , disgusting suggestion
Covgaz are you on about the shorting argument.
Quady , read the two threads that i posted to Bozi on and you may see where i am coming from...but knowing you Quady , i doubt you'll see it. I did , it ****ed me off.
