How would Porvenir be financed, ON TOP OF the $2.7 billion for Alpala...? And then there's the whole new MRE, PFS, DFS to prepare...loss of focus...?
FN want Solg as much as Solg want FN. FN may be happy to do the same type deal for Porvenir. At the end of the day it's all guesswork here, I could be miles off the mark.
It wouldn't mean that Alpala has been put on the backburner. It just means that Porvenir could be open cast and quicker to get to production. Alpala could still come online 2025.
The FN finance is for Alpala...flipping to mine Porvenir instead would not be well received...think of how long it's taken to get Alpala this far...mining it AS WELL using the cashflow from Alpala DOES make sense...AND Rio...
Hi Miagi365, as you say....."A hole in one would be a game changer"
Copperpot, yes I heard the same message. Didn't sound like they were storming in all guns blazing. All we need is that one hit though - I'd be surprised if they didn't park the drill bit at the "core" of the surface expression at Porvenir and do a 500m vertical drill to kick the party off...
Yeah I was thinking the same BNC, read below a post I posted here on the 4th of this month. Great minds and all that ;-)
Morning all, imagine if the drilling at Porvenir turns up something as good if not better than hole 5 at Alpala! Wow, that would send this into the stratosphere. I did mention yesterday that if a small "wrap around" with close to surface high grade pay dirt was discovered, ie Porvenir, this may get mined with a priority over Alpala! I did put a question forward to NM at the last webinar asking how fast Porvenir would be attacked and with how many drills? Some newbies here think Alpala is the real deal.....in essence it could be a very small piece in a very large jigsaw!!
Enjoy the weekend guys!
Just a wee thought re Blanca....
If it's half decent and relatively shallow could it not be brought on stream quickly and start bringing some much needed revenue into the business?
Just a thought....

I would have liked multiple drills on the news targets, but listening to NM he say's "drill" and not "drills" But hey what do I know!
Yes, that "blueprint" is firmly in place. But we don't need a full resource definition to set this alight. All we need is a single hole 5 - then, along with the bid talk, this thing is going into orbit.
I think they have learnt a lot since we Began and hopefully the next couple won’t take 4-5 years lol
I think that’s the one he mentioned fairly recently re his most exciting prospect currently.
As has been mentioned here it all seems very fluid based on surveying, permits and of course strategy.
We will know soon enough which prospects we are defining as we all know it takes a while for these monster discoveries
I'd be very surprised if Rio Amarillo wasn't number 1 on Carnegie Ridge's hit list. Just need the permits for it.
I am excited about all of them. But I don’t see Carnegie ridge having Blanca as their number 1 drill if the geos didn’t think highly of it. Solg are not know for wasting money on regionals. Re agui it’s on the ENSA license and nothing on ENSA is being drilled that doesn’t contribute to the dfs rightly so. Anyway each to their own.
I was thrashing out some details on the Iceberg thread there. Messages on Blanca have been very mixed and unclear to say the least and when that happens history shows that there is a reason (e.g. Aguinaga). As I said, more than happy to be proved 100% wrong on that by a stonking Blanca RNS in the next couple of months.
I am REALLY looking forward to what we get from Porvenir on the other hand. Genuinely excited, as I think there's a good chance of hitting a monster there.
Because as far as I’m aware they had mentioned they had rigs on there and recall the ultra high grades from initial sampling.
It does seem their focus has moved to Pov, if the results were pot they wouldn’t have to report them to us, just seemed a bit strange based on the particularly high hopes the bootstrapping.
Looking forward to the first discovery hole at POV, think it was hole 5 for Alpala that made people take notice.
