Jerry, a perfectionist?
Here just for you, per se.
Many people use per say as well, before you throw your intellect around like a master, read your first sentence and I quote....if you are going to using Latin to explain yourself, please write it correctly.
Going to using Latin? Now wind your neck in perfectionist
Sorry board but for god sake grow up man.
Mathers, if you are going to using Latin to explain yourself, please write it correctly! Per say!! Fingers still not working I would suggest! :-)
My apologies for earlier post which did not explain what I meant, i have pasted my original here again with a brief explanation as too what I meant.
Jerry, they weren’t trying to buy CGP? Solgold offered to buy Solgold shares from their investors along with ENSA
It should have read... Jerry, they weren’t trying to buy CGP per say? Solgold offered to buy Solgold shares from their investors along with ENSA. As pointed out by rglc, this would have been a take over of the whole of CGP at 11 Solgold shares to 1 CGP share
What was in the head did not come through fingers to keyboard very well
Brooke MacDonald .... if we lose the appeal we'll be out of there !
Be out of business Brooke if the fine is a hefty one!
How you gonna pay?
This "provincial Vs National" saga continues. For reasons peculiar to Ecuador, provincial courts are allowed to challenge the government at every twist and turn. This is why the Minister for Energy (Rene Ortiz) has decreed an end to a lot of squabbling over mining by decreeing that previous permissions will stand and future ones will be more closely looked at. I suspect CGP see themselves in the former camp.
The report indicates that 100SqM has been cleared, which is a tiny piece of land about the size of tennis court!! (10x 10m).
I 'think' CGP will get away with it perhaps.......results out today it seems.
Absolutely no impact whatsoever on Solg.
Z
No one even suggested 100 million trees. It looks like they have been operating illegally. It's not good for the mining industry as a whole and certainly not good that they have a connection with solg
ENAMI is part owned by the State of Ecuador.
Yep, its what I read, no drilling and not millions of trees, but explo ration, i.e low level exploration, which if it happened would be likely, against the law in ecuador, imo it probably did happen and CGP will lose the license and have a fine.
They didn't clear 100m trees.....that would take a team of 5 people years to do....decades....
Yes you are both correct, my stupid fault there, not sure what I had in my mind but it was wrong
Cheers
Hi Mathers, they were trying to buy CGP in its entirety. They offered 11 Solg shares for each CGP share. They would have acquired CGP's Solg and ENSA shares as a result of buying CGP. Jerry's point is that they would also have acquired all of CGP's other assets and liabilities as well.
Jerry, they weren’t trying to buy CGP? Solgold offered to buy Solgold shares from their investors along with ENSA
Clearing 100m of trees?
It's not drilling. It was scout exploration,i.e clearing away vegetation to see what the rock type was, a few grab samples, taking down an xrf gun just to see what they can find.
Perhaps greed stokes stupidity? just asking for a friend?
On what basis do you believe they're not that stupid/criminal?
Let's adopt a common sense approach here. Would Cornerstone drill without some form of political approval from someone in authority? I don't think they would. They're not that stupid nor idiotic. They're seasoned professionals.
What does it mean for SOLG? Sweet FA
Wonder how CGP would pay any fine?
NM may have dodged a bullet by not buying CGP as he would be on the hook for the fine/penalty.
Another reason why buying CGP made no sense.
