Let's hope Mr Lasso can lasso the company and pull up the share price to around 50p, that would be great.

think that was one of clarkson's fav terms "environ-mentalists" lols ;o]]]
nice to see some +ve afternoon movement in US session hrs upwards for a change!
Yes, all this worry about environmentalists doesn’t seem to be hurting the share price :)
L2 is gone super bullish
I'm guessing news tomorrow
Happy to relay it?!! Would you rather bury your head in the sand? Do you think if you don't mention something it will simply go away? In any event, I did no more than mention in passing and the main point of my post, which was about Lasso and how he may address the issue, sailed right over your head - which doesn't surprise me in the least.
One last point: I have a very large holding in this company and why you imagine I'd want to harm my investment is way beyond me.
Exactly add its been put there to discredit solg and scare investors and suprise suprise your all to happy to relay that.
The fact they say it will be sold says more to me as I'm aware of all the risks mentioned.
Environmentalist will never be happy and all we can do is try to do our bit by being responsible.
The government have their work cut out which was evident with Perez 20% backing in the election.
...wrong to embrace the environmentalists? Should he simply ignore them? Should we? Is it not a tricky balancing act?
Come back when you've managed to understand the situation.
smickster, it does mean something - it reflects the force of opinion out there which is opposed to mining and the lengths they're prepared to go to in order to discredit our company. But it doesn't surprise me in the least that you're incapable of grasping that fact.
And in what way do you disagree with the rest of my post? Do you believe Lasso would be wr
A dickt your the only one who refers to that document like it means anything at all.
The report relays how much of bad investment solg is with every possible negative listed yet ends by saying it will be sold....lol like I say full of it.
Thanks Red.
So positive news - lets see what unfolds under the new regime..........
One would assume with the size and potential importance of Alpala / Cascabel, that the govt would be keen to see SOLG crack on with it's building of this mine as long as it's brought about as environmentally responsibly as practicably possible, and local communities a) benefit economically & b) aren't impacted negatively by poor practices......
One thing SOLG to date can be proud of is its engagement with, & employment of local communities + their regenerative programmes e.g. tree nurseries etc........
It does "feel" like we're potentially turning a corner & things are looking a little more favourable........
Lets hope this is just the start.......

From Proactive Investor...
"Ecuador - Presidential Election sees victory for pro-mining banker, Lasso in run-off for presidency
The victory of a pro-mining former banker, Guillermo Lasso in the run-off for Ecuador’s presidency is likely to be welcome news to mining companies operating in the country and to their investors. Mr. Lasso , who will assume the Presidency on 24th May defeated his opponent, Andres Arauz by a margin of 52.5% to 47.5% with Mr. Arauz conceding defeat overnight. Mr. Lasso is seen as keen to attract overseas investment, including from the mining industry which he has pointed out contributed 46% of direct foreign investment between 2017-20, to Ecuador as well as to stimulate the local growth of small businesses through tax incentives."
smickster, are you really as dim as you sound?
Add that report is contradictory at best and so full of ****e it could of been written by you.
Lasso will make his maiden speech on 24th May. I'm guessing this is when he'll lay down ground rules for existing cadastres. I've also read he might be pro new concessions (especially with the extensive tenements solg has).
Solgs ESG is robust.

Totally agree SM and addickt...
Absolutely Agree
This is where SOLG's investment in and communication around its ESG credentials will pay dividends. In some ways, going it alone and not having the skeletons that most majors have in their closets might help us win over the mining-sceptic communities.
