Think the point is that France have recognised Interferon works... Come on Activ-2 results, holiday season is approaching...
Sorry link omitted

Org
This is a paper from the Amiens-Picardie hospital referred to by Synairgen staff member. From a brief scan they only treated 4 patients with interferon.
It is not the same as the P2 or P3 study in Bordeaux where they are using thre or four drug options on 6 or 800 patients from memory. Sorry I don't have the link but it is in one of my previous posts. Both inhaled interferons.
Spinnaker
The way in which they adapted the injected IFN to be nebulised for inhalation is described in detail here:

Must say I agree with your post and not sure why people get so aggressive when someone suggests we will not all be millionaires next week. Syn is a good product but there are similar, possibly more effective, drugs being developed in several countries. It would be shortsighted not to acknowledge this. Syn may be ahead in some respects (ie further along in trials) but not in other ways. We just have to wait to see what happens with their trials and other companies' developments, surely, rather than diss posters. And what does Loool mean?!
Good spot Org, may I suggest Org30 that yo go back to clarify directly with Synairgen at once?
We don't want to be debating something so easily misinterpreted that could be clarified without delay by the person whom you say sent you the email. Back to Synairgen to clarify, then we can debate...
Thanks
Org, they way I understood it is thatthey are using a injectable form of interferon as an inhalant. I could be wrong, the wording isn't the most concise.
Yep, we all want success Org and we all want it as quickly as possible but sometimes guilty of overanalyzing things on here.
It's kind of funny that the main topic of discussion has been a small snippet in the French media when we're about 3 weeks into Activ-2.
Very shortly (in fact possibly already, I can't recall the timescales) the US government are going to be reviewing data from our trial. That's the big deal and I suspect where the BoD will be focussed just now.
@Sparky
The trials are a means to an end and the SP will move once there are results.
What you refer to as information really seems more like speculation at this point. There is nothing substantive from France which would cause a 10-20% increase in the SP.
Sparkyboy, can't say I agree with you. The SP isn't being held back. When we get an official RNS confirming if milestones met, the SP will move materially, either up, or down. Milestones are those scheduled and communicated only by the CEO via RNS btw, not other sources, not other "news".
The SP is currently showing fair value IMO considering we are awaiting the holy grail, trial results. We are not there yet, but we will be. Patience, otherwise there's always Crypto if you want to fly by the seat of your pants. GL.
At this point I can't see it having anything to do with placing shares - after all we've been well above 175p numerous times now and around this level for over a month.
I am confident that what can be done and what needs to be done IS being done by R.M. and everyone else involved.
My bet is on placing shares still being sold.
Also waiting for news and or people spending money elsewhere.
with all these trials and information going through i just cant understand what is holding this share back it should well be over £2
Worthy of a lot more exposure.
First France then the world!
Anybody from SNG care to confirm or deny or is everybody furiously busy ramming product into lorries ?
What a nice thought :-)
Great stuff.
Anybody from SNG care to comment ?
I think that on the basis of my own research this morning, I will buy a bit more SNG. ;-)
It always reminds me of that episode in The Thick Of It when politicians say the word "should"
"The Prime Minister says this is exactly the kind of thing we should be doing"
Here’s another source which quotes him as saying it will be available
https://www.sortiraparis.com/news/coronavirus/articles/224578-coronavirus-interferon-beta-an-effective-treatment-soon-to-be-used-in-france/lang/en
But it also calls him a “molecule” so I think something was added in translation!
Thanks Agent that has really helped.
The key issue ‘should soon be available in France in this indication.’
Literal translation leaves room for interpretation sounds a bit Eric Cantonna.
But very intriguing.
"This treatment should soon be available in France in this indication according to the statements of Olivier Véran last week."
Focusing on the verb: should
Does he mean: WHY is it not already available?
Or does he mean: It WILL be available
Hmmm. As they are still quoting data/results from July, don't expect any fireworks until we have more news from current trials.
Having said that - the more the upper echelons of power are aware of Synairgen, the better. As soon as positive results come out, we may see a rapid plethora of RNSs as govt after govt will want to access this treatment. Their fingers might already be on the button, ready to press 'order' ;-) Lol. One can hope.
The Synairgen laboratory indicates that clinical trials aimed at treating severe forms of Covid-19 with beta interferon give “very significant” results.
According to the study, carried out on 101 double-blind patients, interferon beta, “would reduce by 79% the risks that a hospitalized person develops a serious disease, requiring a respiratory assistance”. Note that this would also reduce hospitalization time from 9 to 6 days. This treatment should soon be available in France in this indication according to the statements of Olivier Véran last week.
Olivier Véran is a French neurologist and politician who has been serving as Minister of Solidarity and Health in the governments of successive Prime Ministers Édouard Philippe and Jean Castex since 2020.
Anybody else trying to understand the credibility of the reported French Story?
Has it been confirmed that the French Health Minister was talking about SNG or are we hoping he was referring to SNG?
Seems like it has not gone away but is there anything in it? Thanks in advance.
