Might it be possible that the UK Gov are keeping quiet about Synairgen whilst obtaining additional stockpiles of INF-B-1a from Johnny Foreigner? If so, that would also suggest that our politicians have a third brain cell that the general public have been totally unaware of.
Org it was a lead story in the Telegraph.
Oxford I don't suggest ahything however you have clearly seen the potential link. Vallence should resign.
Are you really suggesting that in the middle of a global pandemic, the only reason Vallance is pursuing vaccines is that he had shares from an old employer?
Government Vaccines story- we are developing something that will get your lives back to “normal” and save the economy.
Possible treatment story- we are focusing on a treatment, it won’t stop you getting the virus and your life will still be disrupted, but you are less likely to die.
Treatment is never going to be the lead story for any government, even though vaccines will not be the hero the politicians claim. Hopefully though the work will happen behind the scenes and the drug will get out there to help without the high profile fanfares. It doesn’t need publicity it needs science, approval and effective distribution to doctors.
Let’s wait for news that matters this week.
Politicians are pushing vaccines because that's what people want to hear. It's the same reason why they're front page news. The public wants to hear about them and wants to talk about them.
Even if SNG001 was approved today, do we know if more than a few thousand doses would actually be ready to go tomorrow?
No, we don't.
If you look at the current situation we are all being led down the path of a vaccine. Who is leading the charge? A man who has £600k plus more invested in a vaccine leading company. If you inform your MP that there is an alternative then it gives them evidence with which to change their perspective. As for Mr Vallance he should have resigned. Its a clear conflict of interest.

totally agree leave Synairgen to do there thing. Writing to MP's desperate waste of time. I got stung with Sirius shares at the end of that nightmare people were encouraging shareholders to write to there MP. Complete waste of time. Synairgen will come good without Boris.
Hi Takenorisk
I liked your take on it. We are in a bit of an odd situation in that a lot of people here have a lot of money (pre and post July 20th investors) and are naturally nervous and responsive to mentions and lack of mentions about SNG in the press and from government.
The flip side to this is that it's given a lot of people a fresh insight into how painfully slow this process has been. If I were to compartmentalise and just think about the potential benefits of the treatment outside of financial interest then I would be legitimately concerned that a treatment which showed immense potential back in April and May is not currently available widely in the UK or around the world right at the moment when every indicator suggests it's getting a lot worse.
I don't necessarily agree with your point that it isn't political though purely because it will likely see the end of BOJO with vultures circling around him now at this rate. I'd agree that it shouldn't be political but that's the world we live in.
Taknorisk
I had avoided saying it myself. It will be lost in the 5000 other Covid letters MPs deal with. However, if it makes someone feel good as mortalitity numbers increase every night than there is no harm in what they do.
Takenorisk ,
I agree with you ... Better off leaving those MP's far away from SNG ...
Some of the posters on here need to give their heads one hell of a wobble!
The approval of SNG or any other product as a treatment for COVID or any other medical condition has absolutely nothing to do with Politicians, it is totally in the hands of the regulatory authorities!!
Once approved, the help in financing it is then at the discretion of the Government, and thats if SNG opt to approach them!
By writing to the Press and MP's imploring them to publicise SNG along with criticising the Government for the slow progress of SNG smacks of absolute desperation, ignorance and lack of understanding as to how any drugs come are approved.
I find it strange that those who openly encourage such actions are the ones that plea for patience when RM is critisised for his lack of updates!
Whether it is this week, this month or this year, IF SNG, on the balance of probabilities, have the successful product WE all think and hope they have, it will be approved, financed (from whatever source) and bought onto the market as a major player with the wealth of those who have the patience rewarded accordingly.
