I am Not investing in RedX, but made interesting reading of Astra deal.
I read that RedX have just signing an interesting agreement with Astra Zenica. RedX isn't Covic related but it does show companies can receive generous offers for research and development.. I am investing in RedX but you guys will find todays news quite encouraging with regards to Astra Zenica and what could happen here.
Well...our views aside...I do not think Trump can hold back
the potential here......So let's hope the RNS we are all waiting for
is not far off now....GLA!
They may just be waiting for the results to come back from the home based trials. If the results are positive from those, we could see Phase 3 being completed around the globe or in selected countries. Results should be with us by September or even earlier now that people are back to work.
Manifesto yes, and they're probably the companies he has a vested interest in. He cares about the economy but he doesn't care about the virus. If he did care about the virus he would have tried harder to get the infection and death rates down, before opening the economy.
Don't believe Trump thinks they will have a great 3rd quarter or fourth, he does however want middle America to believe so his ass ban remain in situ.
MIKODX...Have you not seen how much money he has given to Pharmaceutical
companies to fight the virus.?????? All he cares about is the economy...he wants it to be thriving
before the next election in November....I think you are completely on the wrong
track....He is way more desperate than Boris.
Manifesto - Boris might take it seriously especially since he's had it, but do you really think Trump cares about what the virus is doing to the economy? He actually thinks the economy will pick up, he's said it many times, "I really think were going to have a great third and fourth quarter I really do, don't you think that's fantastic". He still actually thinks the virus doesn't exist. He still refers to CV19 as Kung Flu, and the China Virus fcol.
*number of doses will likely be a lot higher - although SNG have already de-risked that
Good post Kaeren...as alwys! GL!
Some odd views on here this evening....but I think the RNS to stop the speculation
is not far off now....GLA!
Its been 2 weeks since the top line readout. Impossible to have something approved and shipped internationally to start treating people in that time. For perspective, it took 13 days from the RNS saying they were going to carry out a covid trial to the commencement of it and thats been hailed as incredibly fast.
This time round they may need to deal with international approval agencies, protocols for further data gathering, supply chain (as the dosage could be a lot higher) and possible draw up a licencing deal to ensure that supply doesn't run out. This stuff doesn't happen overnight.
Karen, hope your right, it would be good for SNG. Let's just see now how this plays out.
That's why I'm putting my money on the dutch approach. Yes the SARS -1 vaccine has never been rolled out - because funnily weterners have never been seriously threatened by it - but it is true that the potential SARS vaccine targets a art of the stem that seemingly cannot change. That doesn't mean that treatment and testing will not need to go on and even if we do a polio on it - stockpiles will always be needed just incase. Now get a grip and stop panicing.
Yes Woodsy still got a small stake here. The Inhaler definitely the safest bet for now. Need more time to get the vaccine right and will need trials. Don't know what the hold up is here though. We should have had these Inhalers shipped out by now and running trials on the countries that need it.
Guys remember that the 'common cold' is a Coronavirus, and clearly, nobody's ever found a vaccine for that.
There may never be a vaccine for this hideous virus, and even if there is, it'll likely be similar to the flu jab - i.e you'll need to have one every year as the virus changes and mutates.
Hence, the therapeutic route that Synairgen have is absolutely vital imho
MIK, glad your still about.
Safety is definitely the operative word. There have been 4 vaccines in recent history for different virus's and diseases including one for mumps that caused more harm than good.
We have never found a vaccine for SARs Covic 1 which must not be confused with SARs Covic 19 but is obviously same strain. No vaccine has been found for MERS and it took 5 years to find a vaccine for Ebola.
The problem with vaccine is safety. SAGE have recently said that even if we do find a vaccine we will have to live with SARs Covic 19 for a long time.
Disagree, no pharma will try and freeze Synairgen out, even with a vaccine, which if one can be found, it will take years to roll out and nobody knows if one is found how long it will last for. Then you have the fear factor with certain groups who will not take it. Sng compliments a vaccine it is not one versus the other and until a vaccine is found it is a lifesaver.I hope RM has done a deal already, Ihopefully with a UK pharma and that this is rolled out to every care home and those vulnerable asap before the next big outbreak, call it wave 2 or continuation of wave 1. People slating this want to hope they don't need a dose of it. K
Mikodx- the risky data result was always going to be the hospital trial and we passed that with flying colours. Amazingly well as the SP demonstrated. The home trials, when we get the data I am absolutely convinced will be game changing. That isn’t ramping that’s putting into place everything we know about early treatment with interferons. All the experts prior to those results including SNG and Dr Fish etc stated that early treatment was essential. I think it will show a huge improvement on what we have already which is still fantastic. Given we now appear to have tests that can give an accurate diagnosis in 90 minutues, this can only help SG016 home trial recruitment.
my post is to MIKODX....
This appears to be to trial lots of vaccines. One will work robustly enough one day - my money's on the generic SARS vaccine coming from the Netherlands because the chumps who concocted this virus didn't realise part of the SARS virus is unstable to mutations and the spike protein will have this key that seemingly cannot change - which is what they are targetting. However people will stil get ill - and treatment will still be needed - and contact tracing so testing as well...
Seriously.......not sure where you get that idea from...Vaccine or treatment the major pharmas
will make huge amounts of money out of both....In terms of politics....Trump/Boris etc. are
terrified of the effect that Covid 19 is having on their economy, so anything that can
treat the virus will be welcomed.....They know full well that a vaccine may never succeed,
so treatments may be the only option....
I am absolutely sure the majority of people would rather the inhaler than a vaccine. But because the big pharma companies have big money invested in vaccines, they will use politics to try and freeze Synairgen out. We must make sure this doesn't happen.
We have a very safe treatment that will benefit everyone. When news of the patients dosed in their homes comes through (which should be in September), if they are positive, we will not and must not be denied. People should and must be able to choose their preferred method of treatment.
Thanks for your reply Manifesto and it clears up your view.
I am in total agreement with you and invested for the same reasons.
I agree that it is unlikely that any vaccine that has not had long term human trials is likely to be made compulsory especially if not for a high mortality disease. I don't think Covid at 1-2% mortality and if there are good treatments such as ours available is likely to be made mandatory. There will likely be significant public resistance if this was attempted and therefore I am not sure if herd immunity would come about. I haven't seen or heard any evidence for how long any of the potential vaccines would give immunity and I don't know how they would test this other than in real time in a 'challenge' environment. If that is correct it would need to be tested over at least 6 months in a human body.
I agree with pmjh that too much has been made by the government and thus the mainstream journalists on vaccines and not enough regarding treatments. This may change soon.
