C'mon kids, let's go and generate karma on Reddit and pump the SP.
Guess what? There will be volatility which will render the whole exercise useless. Yet another spectacularly stupid suggestion.
- People will sell on positive results (shocker)
- New money will enter due to reduced risk (shocker)
- Share price will go up again (shocker)
Andybe4 ladies and gentleman, a clown.
Thanks Brand and TLW -- two of the best posts of the day, putting SNG into perspective. I share your optimism!
ANDYBe4 - There is volatility in every share even FTSE 100 ones. That is stating the "ridiculously" obvious as nothing goes up in a straight line etc etc. However of course if positive it will rise and take dips as people sell into it. Plus it will settle in some range waiting for sales or further news on licensing or buy out rumours. But it will be fun and you either got the balls to stay and go for the promised land of £10+ and up, or dip out on getting their. Investors own choices and strategy. Likewise as you say if the trial bombs (which it will not) it will fall, but on that mark we still have the ACTIV2 Trial in US to come so not a disaster as testing on different cohorts.
Relax ladies and gentleman.
The RNS yesterday is simple, the team were presenting at an event. Just as any biotech team presents.
Two things were said, two things will happen.
1. SPRINTER is the only thing that matters, right now is SP games that you were warned about.
2. There will be immense volatility after SPRINTER result either way. Obviously if SPRINTER fails, then it’s only heading south (you already know that). But a positive SPRINTER readout will also generate volatility.
I will come on here post SPRINTER readout and people will be saying ‘I don’t understand, why isn’t it going up and up, it works, why is their volatility?’.
You want to pump the SP up, go over to Reddit. But you won’t do that, so make do with moaning instead.
And same here, had to break up into ~200 share buys (@187p)
ElectricDream - same here, was trying to buy another 8.5k's worth and got froze out completely for over 30 mins into close! Did a couple of dummy sells and they were taking the lot immediately, but could not buy a bean!
Last small top up from me. GLA.
No ones selling that's for sure had a buy order for a 1000 at market and been pending for the last 45 minutes, never had to wait more than 15 minutes max!!!!
I think you are right Saint, at least, I don't recall Gamma being referenced previously?
Thanks for your detailed comments Brand.
I know little about marketing, and you have given me a clearer picture as to what is most likely to happen in the run up to the anticipated data readout. It will keep Brooke Clarke, and her team, very busy indeed over the coming weeks. It is good to have someone of her calibre on board.
(Brooke Clarke joined in September 2021 as Head of Communications, bringing more than 30 years of strategic communications and corporate affairs experience. From 2016-2021, Brooke was global head of communications and corporate affairs at the FTSE100 company Hikma plc, and prior to that she held several senior communications roles at Shire plc from 2011-2016 including leading CSR, internal communications and corporate brand. Prior to joining Shire, Brooke worked as a communications consultant in New York and London advising companies including Procter & Gamble, the World Economic Forum and Starbucks, among others. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and received an MSc from Birkbeck, University of London.)
Regards and good wishes.

I think you've got it spot on with the warm up act. I don't know about stocks and shares (tho I'm certainly learning! :) But I do know about marketing
Sng will of course want to get the whole worlds attention when P3 data drops and while yes, 'weve got a cure for covid' will certainly turn lots of heads, you need to have all your ducks in a row, because if for some reason the message doesn't break though (say another huge news story on the day) you've shot your shot and are now a sitting duck.
By putting previous work in the frame, re-introducing SNG to those in the know, creating content of your most important aspects (posters, presentations = easily sharable content), building up your SM and company profile, you can build bigger circles of awareness and start to break through to the mainstream, priming the market for P3 release a few weeks down the road.
I would expect the PR/marketing team to have a day by day (if not hour by hour) plan for the next 4-6 weeks. (and I'm really looking forward to watching it come together)
Best
Fair enough if you are capable of putting a negative spin on that RNS. It really is par for the course that anything other than absolute blockbuster news is sold into on AIM. Synairgen are many things but desperate is certainly not one of them. If anything, it’s their complete lack of urgency/desperation which has led to the SP being walked down in the past. What a completely ludicrous claim.
Re read the RNS and digest the facts. It’s abundantly clear that something will be discussed at tonight’s meeting that is deemed market sensitive. It would not be RNSd otherwise. What that is who knows, but I can’t really see a negative spin on it to be honest.
Trolls are out in force today.
Thank you DPC1825.
Like you, I have also seen something similar with other pharmaceutical stocks.
Today's virtual forum is the 8th ESWI Influenza Conference.
Dr Monk's presentation is entitled " Clinical and in vitro Data on the Antiviral Activity of SNG001".
He is drawing attention to the fact that nebulised SNG001 is a broad spectrum anti-viral treatment, which could, pending a successful Sprinter trial readout, most probably be applied to treat the symptoms of influenza, as well as a range of other maladies, in addition to all the Covid variants.
This would lead to yet more trialling, although Synairgen are by now well versed in conducting their own trials, and have employed a team of experts to expedite the process.
Regards and good wishes.
Isn’t the RNS slightly positive given there’s new gamma variant results alongside the already known alpha and beta variant results
Aj316 just to clarify I see the RNS as very positive that is why I put 'Strong buy'
I don’t see how anyone can see the rns as a negative or the fact they are giving us some information as a negative. It has no bearing on the sprinter p3 readout, they know none of that information yet so the fact some are saying they are worrying or doubting trial results are just plain stupid. This board is slowly filling up with halfwits and de-rampers.
This board used to be the source of so much top quality information and thought provoking conversations and is now just filled with morons. That’s me done until after the presentation later.
I agree with you TLwilliams,
Spot on there brand. Seen it so many times before.
Tattyhead2.
I totally get your point of view but do not see it as an act of desparation. My view is that, given the fact that we are approaching a climactic readout, it is an opportunity to draw together all the current facts about SNG001 in one place, and to present this information to a receptive and interested cohort.
In other words a "warm up act" to keep potential investors, and customers, interested in the fact that there may well be major news in the pipeline?
My thoughts entirely. I most probably know far less than most experienced long-term investors contributing to this board?
Regards and good wishes.
To be perfectly honest SD , last 5 ( and I'm only tell you so keep it to yourself).
Personally I am disapointed in the agenda for this RNS . It appears to be a rehash of old news which gives out a wiff of desperation .To include the word" Delta" amongst the variants would have sent out a strong signal to the markets unless ofcourse you are bang on the money .
Even myself, have tiny doubts niggling away now because of that RNS .There was simply no need for it nor the presentation .I doubt there are any health authorities or governments who are unaware of Synairgens drug and impending results . We shall see. The Sp hasn't crashed so I am probably way off the mark ,but didn't expect that RNS and its content.
1m shares @ 2.05 = 2,050,000
1m shares @ 1.90 = 1,900,000
Gotta expect all that time and effort is well worth £150k no???
Brand my thoughts exactly!
Fri morn sp was sitting at a nice 205, we got a barrage of de-ramping, negative sentiment and even a dodgy article to sew doubt. The trolls were even working overtime at the weekend. This morning, a barrage of small sells to bring the SP down and now there looks to be a large order being filled at 189/190.
Sound about right?
Tatty did it take you as long as 5 mins to realise? ;)
SBM its not a loophole and its not inside information. perhaps read what I put first before you comment! Am starting to think you are either very attracted to me or you are just stalking me and seem to want to reply to anything I type.
