Great timing (again) from the Synairgen team.
A brilliant reminder, to anyone that needs it, of what this drug is capable of. This presentation sets the scene nicely and must surely build anticipation in the scientific and political communities about what the P3 data will show.
It should also act as a reminder to anyone here getting nervous about why you just need to hold a little longer. Yes, the SP might get dragged down a bit more. Some people may have doubts that they’re too heavily invested or that it could all go wrong. Listen to your instinct, it’s supported by the evidence and hold tight for the results.
And if you want to hold even longer I think the long Covid results will be spectacular but that’s just personal opinion from how the drug seems to fight the infection.
Thanks Mat :-)
Never thought I'd say the statement 'I can't wait for January'
It’s structured as a press release so I don’t think so. However it’s possible they may rns as there are some numbers in there that are different to the May rns. Gamma is new news (although mentioned yesterday) and the May rns used concentrations required for 90% viral reduction whereas this press release talks about 99% viral reduction but sng001 concentrations required are higher.
Hopefully this gets some press coverage tomorrow as a minimum. Start the PR ramp up.
It would be interesting if anyone has data on the % of hospitalised patients with Covid suffering from breathlessness and needing treatment - who were also asthma or COPD sufferers .
When Covid broke out , most people would have assumed that those folk , along with other respiratory sufferers , would have the toughest time and be most vulnerable . I don't know if that is true ?
This data at least shows that having asthma or COPD doesn't affect the way SNG001 works it seems .
There must be a point when the lung tissues are so damaged ( fluid filled ) that nebulised delivery is ineffective , so its reassuring again to see data that proves that these patients also respond well to SNG001.
Agree Saxondale. Dosage is one of the trickiest things to get right, so this reads well.
SP - I wouldn't rule out a big tree shake PRIOR to end year, in fact, I'd say it is to be expected, going by historics...
Certainly some positive vibes in that presentation summary.
I like this bit - We presented data showing that SNG001 activates the lungs’ antiviral defences for 24
hours after a dose has been delivered, supporting our once-a-day dosing schedule .
So for the whole treatment period , the drug is effective .
Well tolerated . Again a big tick .
Biomarker responses were similar in younger asthma patients and older COPD patients
at the same dose. So effective in young and old , again a big tick .
Like many on here have noted - we are going to subject to a lot of fun , games and shenanigans with the SP while we wait for P3 . The good thing is , early 2022 isn't too far away - what with Christmas and New Year - we are only a matter of weeks away now from Sprinter news , and that's if we don't get other news first .
Yes it is on website. I meant RNS'd to stockmarket.
The presentation link is on sng Website
Thanks for the link. Very insightful. Bring on early 2022 for more on this:
“The poster included the following data:
• SNG001 potently reduced virus to undetectable levels following infection of cells with ‘Wuhan-like’ SARS-CoV-2, Alpha, Beta or Gamma variants.
• SNG001 achieved 99% inhibition (IC99) at concentrations of 5.4, 17.7, 11.0 and 7.9 IU/mL respectively.”
MatmL - Do you think this will be RNS'd tomorrow i.e. with the output as opposed to yesterdays 7.00am ?
Excellento
More arrows lining up.
Some powerful keywords in that presentation.
Cheers Matt
Good sentence “ potently reduced virus to undetectable levels”
Synairgen is investigating the in vitro activity of SNG001 against the Delta and Omicron variants of SARS-CoV-2 and will make data available as soon as possible.
short sighted? naaa

The presentation is embargoed until 6pm and will be available after that
I guess If you were a delegate , and paid your £500 , you'd want a little exclusivity for a while at least , and perhaps that entitles them to a little more detail and questions answered within that closed space .
If there was anything materially new however , that has been presented to people outside of the company , I would expect an RNS at some point in the next day or so , even if it was just some bullet points .
If we don't get one , then at least its been a good showcase in front of the right people , and a reminder of what SNG001 can do .
I still think we may well get one though .
ESWI is sponsored by, amongst others, Astra Zeneca, Roche and Pfizer. The information will be the same as what we've already received with the addition that the presenter will be asked questions. These events come with added benefits such as networking and the big names generally tend to attend and keep a note of what is going.
Expect they at least have to wait until the conference is finished.
Because thats what scientists do Doc. They present data to the scientific community at conferences. The rns was to notify that.
Anyway I hear they presentation will be released later today according to a member on reddit.
CityTTrader - "It is very strange that an RNS was released yesterday notifying of data to be discussed but then we are not informed the next day as to what ws discussed."
No it's not. If there were any price-sensitive data they would have had to tell us in advance anyway.
So we can conclude it's either: 1) technical data that we've already had summed up for us, or 2) it was just a repeat of the exact same information but delivered in-person for the benefit of industry decision-makers. It's not even slightly strange.
With respect Matml74, I would think they’ll be some new info, even if it’s not earth shattering. Why release an RNS just to say you’re regurgitating what is already on your website. Or why spend the money to attend and present when you can just tell everyone “it’s all on our website”?
We’ve all been very patient. Just some new material (even if it is just repackaged) would be nice to read. Perhaps not to you, but some of us.
But you were informed yesterday what was being discussed. SNG001 use in asthma and COPD. The data is all on the website.
I have asked the company for a copy of yesterdays presentation. It is very strange that an RNS was released yesterday notifying of data to be discussed but then we are not informed the next day as to what ws discussed.
