And we all know boris is one of those politicians acutely sensitive to the media, more so than his peers. So when the Americans approve us and sections of the british media and select journalists start posing questions does anyone really think boris will do a Maggie Thatcher and say my way or highway? Nooo
Occams razor. The most simple reason is usually the real reason. I firmly believe HT data hasn't been delayed, I firmly believe it's the most logical decision strategically to pair with long covid. As well as preventing bias...only 2 weeks extra so why not.
And if boris is truly looking for a pill this autumn, he won't have one if the Pfizer drug is still P1. So SNG have the field to themselves, in my eyes. Certainly for this autumn and early winter.
Makes you wonder doesn't it with the deliberate 5% Polygon took end of last week did they know something behind scenes here. They want to manufacture in uk....remember this from the other day https://questions-statements.parliament.uk/written-questions/detail/2021-02-24/158042

One of the drugs is AZN mAbs, UK pre ordered 1 million doses last year. I'm sure the task force will discover it :
Does anyone know if Iran is part of out p3?
Welsh you’re weird ,something amiss.
You can't twist that one "think it meant happy but not in your case".
Clear as anything.
Your kind of bullying is not welcome here.
US SNG share price fairly unaffected by the announcement this afternoon. Slightly reassuring!

Everyone on these board needs to recall RM and Holgates comments about timings - end of summer has been mentioned many occasions by them both as a “drugs to market” date and now we have Boris!
All looks positive to me and I’ll stick with my July take over/buyout view.

Boris Johnson has announced the government is launching a coronavirus antivirals taskforce under plans to fast-track the development of treatments for the disease. During a Downing Street press briefing on Tuesday, the prime minister said the taskforce will aim by autumn to find drugs that people with mild Covid-19 could take at home to prevent the illness turning serious and requiring hospital treatment.
Gov publication says "A competition to identify a chair for the Antivirals Taskforce will be launched shortly, and further details on the structure of the taskforce will be set out in due course."

It is also very clear multiple times it wants to find a couple of "pills or capsules" to help in the fight after home diagnosis.
Maybe Prof Sir Holgate would offer himself as a possible chair?!
I’m sure if they taste like leaks you will change your tune.

Personally I’d like a cancer pill for £1
Can I have it tomorrow please?
Words are meaningless only trials and results will decide our future and the science says SNG
Yes I agree ,but there must be something else in the pipeline or he wouldn’t have said it .My concern if there is so many on here are talking about stock piling that has to be put in doubt.
Welsh, I have used that same logical thought against the Vaccines .

Soooo, @Faye, what would you choose?
A nebulised interferon which has been shown to be effective and safe. It will more than likely stop the virus in it's tracks.
Or
an unproven pill, just going into human trials that may have some effect on the lungs within 12 hours of infection. Safety as yet unknown?
Wanting an effective cheap drug and having one are of course two completely separate things.
15 months on that’s a circle no one has squared
I hope and pray that SNG001 works and becomes the worlds best theraputic drug for Covid-19, I want to see that fat bumbling mop headed fool eat his words and eulogise about the virtues of this drug and be too late for it!!!

Nobody is able to choose SNG as its yet to post trial results and obtain approval. If we achieve what many of us believe the science demonstrates then price will become an issue against the competing treatments. I wouldn’t be concerned that the master of detail (BoJo) talked about pills or capsules. His attention span is pretty short.
We headed to the US and that’s where success or failure will lie.......
And I vaguely remember a person taking a pill in a hospital trial months ago ,it was on BBC news .Have you any idea what that was ?
Obvious in what way, how can many not want it when they haven't even heard of it yet?
Whatever tablets you are on, keep going girl. One day they may actually work.
It’s nothing to do with what I would choose ,it’s obvious for whatever reason maybe price not many want to choose SNG .
You have to laugh. The doctor mentioned budesonide.
Clearly they want a cheap drug which is understandable.
