HelloSan, I think we will end up in the blue today my friend :)
Nicely rebounding markets, DDDD is up 6.6%, GNS up 1.37% and Avacta (this boards favourite) is up over 4% today. All those stocks you mentioned are in the blue today. Have faith that Synairgen will end the day in the blue as well.
JD76, great first post :) I agree with both statements.
In relation to the first, you’ve got to start somewhere. Research, intuition, carefully measured risk etc crucial….but sometimes , and with this stock, for me, I have taken a much riskier standpoint than I usually would. I just feel it in my bones that it will prosper, which is of course not how you’re supposed to make financial decisions.
But look at Thermanos! No published results and clever people parted with many billions
Here we have the extraordinary P2 results, a solid, rational board plus global recruitment …sometimes we must take a chance , fortune favours the brave and all that
DYOR etc
Things I’m learning quickly:
1) I know far too little about all of this to have as much money (relative to my overall “wealth”) as I do invested in these things
2) On any forum/platform where anonymity is granted there are people who act like idiots
Andybe4 - "but today biotech stocks, pharma and airlines (that I’m invested in) are all going up."
I just took a look at four AIM biotech stocks that are up today (basically selected at random) and they're all still below Friday's closing price. They were GNS, DDDD, AVCT and ORPH.
Synairgen already had a high degree of uncertainty around it, but I think it's Ukraine that tipped it over. The timing of yesterdays sudden 4-5% drop that hit many stocks seems like too much of a coincidence for Ukraine not to be a factor.
Thanks volatility
HelloSan, I don’t think it’s just about the Ukraine situation.
The market dipped yesterday due to the Ukraine situation, but today biotech stocks, pharma and airlines (that I’m invested in) are all going up.
Only Synairgen has gone down again.
I’m not speculating what this is, but the SNG is dropping whilst others are rebounding.
Don't give any notice to him. Just look at his posts in NCYT and BP, they're a good laugh
Jwd
If you think that Covid is going to be over in the next few weeks, why would you invest in Synairgen?
HelloSandiego - Completely agree.
Many investors in this situation just sell out of shares so they have cash on the table to invest in the recovery. Not every investor (in fact this is the majority) spend time and effort researching the company and worrying about exactly when the P3 results will land or what they are - they want 10% and they will get it by investing cash taken out yesterday back into recovery stock. It's a no brainer for traders.
Most of us on this board are looking at the far greater than 10% return we expect to see when the P3 results are released and thereafter. So hold or don't - it won't change the outcome.
aj242 - "the RNS doesn't land, the SP dips..."
The price has fallen quite steeply since Friday (just over 14%) and I'm pretty certain it's because of the uncertainty over the Ukraine situation. Pick half a dozen AIM shares at random and you'll see that most, if not all, fell sharply at around 9:45 yesterday morning. That's when the "UK orders embassy staff out of Ukraine" stories hit the main news websites.
The P3 results can be released any day now. This is the truth. Nobody here knows exactly when it will be but if it was sometime today or tomorrow morning or next Tuesday or any day from now it would be absolutely within the 'what was said by RM parameters'
RM said something along the lines of 'early 2022'. It is still early 2022. Early 2022 allows SNG to do whatever is required to receive and interpret the data with our chosen analysis partner without having to be concerned with hitting an specific date to please shareholders. There cannot be specific days by day certainty because when RM said it he had not seen the data or what it shows.
Coordinating the capture and release of that data across different nations would have been a specific area of risk from a capture and assessment perspective and I would be surprised if that didn't need at least some work.
Getting stressed about this is not going to help you.
The share price doesn't know when the results will be released or what they will say either.
15 Dec 2021 in the video Curiously RM did say .........if Covid persists then we will file for EUA why would he say that if Covid persists ?
Well this is a depressing start to the day, not sure I was expecting the SP to collapse like this ahead of results. I have significantly revised my expectations/hopes for the SP given the COVID “party” is finishing soon and I don’t think most Governments will actually stockpile..they don’t do planning!!
That said, I still have hopes for £4-£5 if P3 is good…maybe a little more on a TO bid later this year
Too much crazy hype on this and every other Aim stock tbh
LOL, this reminds me so much of the phase 2 results. People have made up their own dates in their mind, the RNS doesn't land, the SP dips and the same muppets are talking about delays into Spring!!! Its genuinely hilarious.
Excellent buying opp for anyone that hasnt loaded up, happened before phase 2 and its just about to happen again.
Careful man
I mean p3 results
FUJWD.
My bet is ..
1. Interim ... Mon 31/1 (or worst case prior to 11/2)
2. Final (peer review) Tue 1/3 (which may eve incl. EUA)
TommyD_19 - "A paid deramper"
Who is?
You want the results when covid is gone muppet?
A paid deramper
Just hit 170p. I expect we'll have another Polygon RNS by the end of the week.
The results may well be out later this year I think
Why spring, why not winter 2024… muppet
8.25 he asks the question. Look at the trades at the same time!!
Taking the **** they are.
