Too many companies over hype these days ..
Manicman, point no. 2 is probably the most sensible thing that has been said on here for weeks
Hi Kevin.
The boxes are all getting nicely ticked off,
I like this company
1. for being connected to my local hospital.
2. they stick to the science and don't over hype.
3. the team behind SNG .
If the results are not as Stellar as people would like we still have a great future .
Agree with you there . I felt certain Motifbio (MTFB) was on to a winner. All sounded positive , they talked a good game and then it all went Tits up...
Good luck everyone
BJW .. Echo @Sparkyboy's comments but, saying that, am pretty much all in as well, and .. despite temptation .. have stopped where I am, with a little invested in diagnostics elsewhere to pay my Corp Tax in Jan. Keep something back mate.
Big jonnywin I hope you was ****ed when you said you borrowed and was going put your tax and vat on today I would highly recommend you don't but will still have that party at your pub when it gets past phase 3
Agreed gold.
Ticks in all the right boxes.
Major shareholders increased holdings.
New positions filled, with exemplary backgrounds.
P2 data excellent, Activ 2-3 progression.
Attendance at new conferences with all the big players; networking.
Bladebla
Lining up.
People need to get a grip - polygon and polar don’t own 25% for no reason!
Nothing from the presentation as expected but a very good RNS yesterday confirming Polar continuing to buy.
BJW do as you please and good luck with your investment decisions.

Morning BJW
Just having an early morning read before work….
Don’t do it fella, nothing in life is guaranteed!
I too lost everything once, I was left with just my clothes and my tools, “she” had the rest.. my gamble was I picked the wrong woman…
This is no de-ramp btw
Take care

Not sue if you’re aware, but there was a presentation or something last night?
Southampton, UK - 6 December 2021: Synairgen plc (LSE: SNG), the respiratory company developing SNG001, a formulation for inhalation containing the broad-spectrum antiviral protein interferon beta for ‘the treatment of severe viral lung infections.’
Even if P3 readout isn’t as good as expected, this will not just crash to zero. Hence, the info delivered last night. I would guess that we will lose 30-60% with a very poor set of results.
BJW, will therefore still have plenty of capital to reinvest if it goes pear shaped.
Anyone invested at this point, that expects it to go pear shaped, shouldn’t be invested anyway.
DYOR
BJW, if this goes pear shaped , will you have enough 'seed' capital to invest in another opportunity? In my experience there are always unforeseen events that can derail a 'certainity' and nobody yet knows how this will play out.
I was prescribed Paroxetine as a child. I gave evidence to an inquest which was ignored. I know GSK changed their culture as a result but it stays with you, that sort of thing. Big pharma does a lot of good in the world and it does best when kept very very honest.
This person may or may not be out on a limb, and either way, that's their lookout.
I would echo your evaluating negative points of view, assuming there is some evidence or logic behind them, but can you offer any?
If you'd like something negative to consider: some kids are getting very sick with omicron, and kids normally have a very strong beta interferon response. I hope that is because the virus got better at switching off the interferon response, because the alternative is that it got better at evading several hundred innate immune responses, in which case we're all going to die in a variety of horrible ways.
Got to agree with Jamie BJW.
I know I've said I've kitchen sinked this but what I mean is it's now my only stock which is only a small percentage of what I have.
Up to you what you do but it's an extreme position.
BJW
You don't want to get back to the drawing board!
I think polygon et al agree with you bjw!
The kitchen sink is fully invested here, plus my vat due in Jan , bank deposits savings & pension money and corporation tax due in January are fully invested here. I dont know any investment or gamble is better than synairgen. If it goes pear shaped then so be it, I was homeless on the streets of london years ago and if sng fails then it's back to the drawing board.
I got a 20k recovery loan so I am intending on buying more SNG one cannot have dnough5og Synairgen. I am looking to have £60k plus invested in sng. Too me it seems like the best investment one could have with massive upside. I am a gambler and this seems to be the best favourite to reach a 500,-600%+ return
“ but I don’t know what would stop SNG showing its loyal shareholders the presentation…”
I’m not to concerned about seeing that presentation. The title of the oral presentation... “presentation will highlight clinical data demonstrating the antiviral activity of SNG001 in the lungs of patients with asthma and those with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).”
This data has been published in scientific journals and presented in rns form, as well it can be found on the SNG website. The company has not done any new work in this area since 2020. All shareholders should have looked closely at this data/read the papers etc before investing in this stock IMO.
The poster “highlight in vitro data showing the antiviral activity of SNG001 against Alpha, Beta and Gamma SARS-CoV-2 variants” well this data was presented in rns in May 2021. There was not a lot of detail in the rns so there may be a little extra on the poster but nothing that will change the fact it works against those variants.
Politics and corruption go hand in hand!
The concern for me was the ‘old news’ of asthma and copd! Not to be forgotten though!
Nothing in RNS said ‘on it’
But I’m in until p3
My instinct tells me we’re good. Although the wait seems like an eternity. I first bought in at the dip in April and have topped up more times than I care to remember. By far my biggest holding but still moderately sensible (not half or all my portfolio!). Will hurt though if it doesn’t come in. Biggest worry for me is the politics that go on. I believe in the science.
He might be trading it! Fair play if he is snd winning! Balls of steel that takes at this stage
Doc83
I’ll be one of them
BJW fascinated to hear what your strategy is with SNG. From your posting history it seems chaotic and spasmodic - apologies if wrong. Why another £20k tomorrow- what’s changed from today? Cheers ATB
