Very recently, I was offered 7.34p for 30K shares, and 6.89p for ten times that amount. The quoted share price on my broker’s site is the same as last night’s closing value. The usual low level trading activity has resumed.
Consequently, yesterday’s flurry of trading was presumably created by the usual unsubstantiated social media hype? In the absence of news, the share price is likely to decline to the previous range? A storm in a teacup, nothing else IMO.
My complements to any traders, who bought low, and sold near yesterday’s cusp. Synairgen’s price may continue to be “manipulated” in this way, until the company shows its hand. This will benefit traders, but is of little use to LTIs, who are in search of more significant multi-bagging to recover some capital.
To take the underwater trope further. LTIs are unlikely to trade in case there is significant news and they are caught out without any shares. A bit like skinny dipping in the sea and the tide suddenly going out (Warren Buffet’s metaphor, not mine).
All IMHO. GLALTIs.
TFG have 28.15%. I'm not sure why they didn't bother to spend the extra £185k to get up to 29.9%, given they must be in for c.£60m anyway. In any case, they could've bid for SNG a long time back and haven't.
As for a lowball offer, I know many on here have significant holdings and wouldn't give up their shares on the cheap. Given any bidder would need 90% of shareholders to agree, good luck with that.
Why haven't they done so already ?
What % do they have now?
Will buy out remainder of company and take it private imo price has been rock bottom for a while conducting patient trials very soon they will take out for a lowball offer imo dyor
However, Josh we now know SNG has an awakened pulse with possibly a new collaborative PP scientific partner and we await further insight / intel. on how this will play out and connect with other strategic dots...that's why some investors bagged a few more shares making sense and may pay out big time beyond your end of day perspective ('paper losses' that never crystallize)!
Yesterdays volume and volatility will have peaked interest from some traders.
Given low liquidity i will do nothing here and wait to see where we settle next week. Cheers
SP on the move again, are the mm’s trying to reel a few in ???
Meant buy!
LTH - Tried to get a quote with AJ Bell but unable to.Seems odd!
Unfortunately, we cannot expect a sustainable share price re-rate in the absence of a significant update from Synairgen. Nor can the company be blamed for yesterday’s busy trading day, which resulted in a net share price increase.
The poster presentation, which may or may not have triggered the trading activity, was deeply “hidden”, and it took an impressive piece of research to unearth it. It wasn’t even presented by Synairgen, and there were no significant new findings included.
I am not trying to undervalue the quality of the information, and the testing was presumably commissioned for a good reason? My point is that yesterday’s activity has nothing whatsoever to do with my Synairgen investment, and I remain hopeful of positive news from the company during Q2.
GLALTIs.
Come out to play you clowns! No RNS, yesterday was just a pump n dump.
Thanks, Wigster.
“…sponsored by the UK’s Department for Business and Trade (DBT), specialising in helping overseas companies set up and invest in the UK and assisting UK companies to succeed in global trade…”
This could still go pear-shaped. But also still plenty of positives that could happen. Our P2’s, Universal leading to something more, Janssen’s involvement, a platform trial, another pandemic, a curveball bid or one of Spacman’s many postulations. We’ll know soon.
Tommy
As I am sure you know, I am talking about today's activity..
Take it up over 50% but end the day up 16%.... Surely
you have not sold a single share..... You keep telling us news is close
and there is great news to be told... Or are you just a trader ramping day in day out
to make a few pence...... Now that is very naughty.... :D
If I bought 75k at 5.25 in Mid March and sold them today at 9.50. How did MM’s rob me?
Doc, yes it was in January of last year that Synairgen were selected as a "UK Life Sciences Innovator" by tradegovuk. I did wonder at the time what (if anything) this would lead to. Maybe the recent developments are linked to this, but not entirely sure.

We don’t know if today was a pump and dump special or if there is something genuinely going on. Or of course maybe just a bit of excitement after so long of absolutely nothing.
But the P2’s really must be close. Whatever, the silence can’t go on forever, even if it’s bad news that we end up getting. I’m going for positive though. Wigster reminded me earlier that last year we were chosen as some UK innovation partner… can’t recall the details. But maybe all the recent news with UKHSA could be linked in some way.
Fruity ...
Ask those who paid 10p and ended the day down 25%.....!
They will probably be down another 10% tomorrow...
Day light robbery with a portion of carrots and peas...:D
"MM's robbed investors today". You have proof of this do you Mani??
You're some drama llama. A prize specimen!
Doc.Dan
There was no inconsistency... Perhaps you fought yourself to find
something that just was not there... I have previously stood up for your
posts, but you have really sunk to a level where I cannot do that anymore!
SNG failed to correct the market and the MM's robbed investors..
Most on here got the point, unlike you!
Mani I was poking fun at your inconsistency today. You are correct of course that Synairgen really should have made something of the presentation - either pre or post. Not an RNS but a tweet with the same data sheet or better still linked to a page on the website. Perhaps they'll get round to it tomorrow or Friday. Very odd behaviour - but we're well used to that by now. It's as if there's nobody doing comms at any level now.
Working late...... thanks a lot.
Doc.Dan
You really have missed the point... Or maybe you just cannot resist
the opportunity to have a go..... SNG have a responsibility to make
sure the market are kept informed, and they could have acknowledged
the presentation beforehand and not allowed the speculation to
result in a fake rise, and YES a 50% rise does require a comment
and I stand by my earlier post ! The NOMAD should have insisted..
SNG are losing respect on many levels and they have a duty to
act in their shareholders interests.... If only!
Nice to see you've found the perspective that seemed to be missing in your late morning post Mani.

" I would have thought RM will now be forced to issue
a statement on the movement, you cannot ignore 50% in a day..
Either he explains the reason or declares there is not one..??
The NOMAD should insist on a response IMHO! "

Is a demonstration that a rise based on no news
is MM's playing their hand beautifully... They knew
that yesterday's presentation had garnered excitement
here and they played the inexperienced traders like
fools.... Many got spiked..Nothing of note could be
released yesterday without a RNS..... It was an
interesting find by Bryosa, and had we have had
the communication we deserved we would have
already had an explanation behind the collaboration..
But alas that is a pipe dream here.... Fingers crossed
the results do not deliver any surprises and a start
date is sooner rather than later... !!
