DaveW58 thanks for reposting that, Like I mentioned earlier today we could be conditionally approved while trials still continue, this also matches the fact they have started to manufacture the drugs already, why would you spend £4 million on a guess? The approving bodies have asked for it I guess, I think the CEO and others are doing their best to keep a tight ship but the clues are all there and given away by accident just like the email which states confidently once results are done we are going to discuss best and fastest routes to expeditious approval, approvals will take days only so no one get caught with your pants down lol.
Thanks Tiptree.
The earlier Recovery trial protocol, dated 4th April shows Interferon as one of the treatment arms. " Arm 3: Interferon-?-1a. Nebulized solution of IFN-ß1a 6MIU (0.5ml of a solution
containing 12MIU/ml) once-daily for 10 days or until discharge. "
This is the treatment arm which has been dropped in favour of Azithromycin in the current protocol.
As the original interferon beta was nebulized, I assumed it was the Synairgen product. I also have shares in Faron which supplies injectable Interferon used in the REMAP-CAP trial.
TedB - protocol doc here:

Soberman.....shame on you...naff off..!
And you sound really lovely
Neither toffeeman nor worried. Insert your own smiley.
Okay, thanks Scarab. Very happy to be wrong.
I have the Recovery trial protocol doc of 4th April but can't copy link on here. If anyone can trace a copy the main text and appendix refers to inhaled interferon beta (but perhaps not Synairegen?).
That statement does not say if we have a positive result it says when we have the results.
Now, I am no English major but the wording presumes a positive result.
IMHO of course.
Any other conjectures?
This has been covered at length previously on ADVFN
Nobby e-mailed Syairgen'sCEO Richard Marsden with is reply:
'SNG001 is only being tested in the SG016 placebo-controlled trial, when we have the results we will discuss appropriate routes to expeditious approval with regulators and other interested parties around the world. This, we believe, is the fastest cleanest route to making SNG001 globally available.'

We weren't apart of the recovery trial, however our dosing and nebulizer etc was listed which caused the confusion. The injected interferon has a lot more side effects. I think we will be added if we get positive results from this trial. Onwards and upwards ??
There was some confusion as the description of the inhaled drug seemed to point to SNG001 but was odd it hadnt been RNS'd and the CEO confirmed it wasnt part of the Recovery trial
ggg21 You are right...I think it was a mistake that has
been corrected...so nothing to cause concern..
Correct me if I’m wrong but we were never part of this collected trial to start with it is all being run by oxford university. We aren’t. We are with Southampton uni, Leicester, Nottingham. Birmingham University hospital started dosing sng001 on their first patient 8th April
TedB....no we were never on this trial..so not dropped..
SG, Recovery trial webpage states that Interferon has been dropped
Item 2 on update states:
"Adding azithromycin as an arm to the trial (replacing interferon beta)"
I assume that is not good news but very happy to be proved wrong.
This interview on 1st April is fascinating and compelling. Scroll down to “Coronovarus:the race to find a treatment”
Richard starts at 12 minutes
If is clear they are gearing up production and are in talks with major agencies around the world. I thought this had legs but now I really am starting to believe it. Great to be a part of.
Yes, I’m long the stock so have a vested interest for it to work. It would also be great that a U.K. firm could be part of the global solution.

Re the Recovery trial, note the "UPDATE ALERT" here :
https://www.recoverytrial.net/for-site-staff/site-staff
It looks like as of 8th, references to interferon have been removed completely, and the Beeb must be out of date?
(It's still possible an interferon treatment might get get added in the future of course.)
no probs
That's not our drug. That's the injected interferon.
bradford hospital in recovery trials https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-52236387
Bradford hospital may use interferon in its trails
Its not being used in them yet but may be added to them in the future
hi did the board research mention interferon was not been used in the recovery trials ? , thanks
