pmjh - they won't say anything in the media until they have stopped buying!! ;)
Yes, Bella - I expected these TR1s to flow the week after the announcement, but it clearly takes the current market a lot more time to separate the covid cure from snake oil. Feeling a lot more optimistic now.
Wd..agree...
Dont forget current science re T Cells is also playing into our hands.
https://www.adn.com/nation-world/2020/08/08/40-of-people-with-coronavirus-have-no-symptoms-might-they-be-the-key-to-ending-the-pandemic/
40% of people testing positive show no symptoms and they are potentially passing on 70%.
Science asking why and it seems to be down to TCells not working properly or lack of.
Interferons basically activate T Cells.
The US seem to get all this now.
To be sure of getting US govt contracts we need to produce in the US so look for a big pharma who can offer this themselves or via US based OEM.
US fund holding is cream on top to bri g I. US shareholders.
The way they are buying in they are well sure of an upcoming success story here.
All going in the right direction and we will probably remain in this price band until our US friends reach their percentage buy in target.
They've got dollars in their eyes guys...insert big grin here... And date crossed was last Thurs so how much more did thy pick up on Friday?
No need for complicated theories here now, they've done their homework and made the phone calls.. That's enough for me right now...
I’ve re read the thread.....
It’s so you could trade the new partner share if they happened to be American.
its not the listing it is the carapace of a tax free mantle.
Don’t think they will get bought out
More chance it will be a partnership with a American pharma
Some providers can pop foreign stocks into an is a often a limited range
BigBangs why would they need to list on an American exchange?
They are listed on a UK exchange already .
If they get brought out or partnered and it needs to be American then isn’t that what the partner brings .
I’m not disagreeing but it’s the first time the subject of listing on another exchange has been talked on a bulletin board . what would it give them that they don’t have already
Ghia.......are you getting excited?
Sadly, the UK Government seems obsessed with Oxford Uni and vaccines.
Well, a daft Q from me (I should know better!) - any chance the US stock be ISA-eligible?
Atrocus - fear not you will have the opportunity to sell your U.K. stock following any announcement, you can then buy the US stock if you wish through another account which I suggest you set up now in readiness. Your only risk is missing any price increase from that agreed with SNG and a potential subsequent increase once the US listing becomes active.
Ok I may have gone off piste a couple of times thinking about it, for small amounts, but not for very long.
Change your Broker....I have had quotes doing dummy sells on HL no problem!
I know it’s not wise, and d been debated, but I’m ‘all in’ and have been since Feb. This is the big one for me.
And there was me this morning trying to sell a few tranches at 210 with an NT and giving up due to no quote/deal offers.
There cannot be much stock available now???
The drop today bought up and just about to go blue....
Could get interesting now as we wait (impatiently) for news LOL!
GLA!
Venrock are very good news indeed quality ii.
A USA partner would mean FDA approval in the bag IMO.
UK government now is your time to be decisive and arm the NHS with the supplies it needs for the coming winter.
combination..
Atroxus...you should check with your Broker..they are all different..
But if we get a comination of shares and cash you would get enough notice
to move to another Broker if necessary.GL!
I think a US Partner Deal looking more likely by the day.....
May be wrong but I expect they would be prepared to outbid
their UK rivals........ !
GLA!
Forgive me if I’m looking at this incorrectly but I’m new to investing and just managed to jump on this before it’s meteoric rise due to sheer luck (go figure) but on my dealing account I can only trade on the LSE. If, for example. Synairgen were bought out by an American company and they offered shares & cash, would I not be able to trade those shares due to the restrictions on my account? Just not sure how takeovers and that sort of thing work!
Very happy with the adventure over the past few weeks though!
Very plausible when you consider they are already conducting a 1b trial to test safety of inhaled remdesivir, as well as the ACTT 3 trial of Remdesivir & interferon 1b through IV.
Confidence has been shown in the “pre lim” results. New IIs and SP holding, this is looking very encouraging, news on the horizon. IMHDO
Hi pmjh, we looked at that a few weeks back - There's been a lot of talk about AZN on here but Gilead is the big standout on that portfolio.
