When we spiked to 45p it dropped back to 22p then rose again. It’s AIM and typical but can be heart stopping. The reason you bought still remains. GLA the world needs testing, treatment and vaccines to get back to the world we all took for granted in many ways.
They're just waking up to this on the ad vfn board, so it will be interesting to see what they make of it!
Tbh the speed everything is moving at the moment, just may be a case of recruiting sng onto a further trial
No problem. But let us know if you disagree with our conclusions on "Recovery" - we're all just guessing what's going on there :-)
Yh I just caught up my apologies
Injected interferon is part of the WHO "Solidarity" trial, there may have been some confusion with "Recovery".
I have been looking throughout the day, there is a link for Leicester, also GWH which is in Swindon. The government are playing catch up on this. Interferon beta 1a was listed but people thought it was sub cutaneous (injected only) of which only faron do. But no specific brand was mentioned.
@Scarabbeatle : Have a look at this thread (click 'Reply') to have a look at yesterday's discussion on this.
Yes, SGD27 , that was what I wondered originally and why ?? Could it be to do with the delivery methods /patents etc that I read on here a few days ago ?? Just a thought ?
The Health Secretary's comments about Recovery recruitment and the interferon -beta comments on their website surely invite a Synairgen RNS on Monday about our trial recruitment and relationship to Recovery?
@phoenix41 : Yes, the "yet" quote might simply be out of date of course. As you were suggesting (if I understood correctly), they may just have thought it was better to run our trial standalone, for whatever reason.
I think thats just not been updated yet....I guess theyre all just frantically trying to get data ??
Clearly the word, "currently" is the important word in the Recovery(Randomisation) piece
SDG very interesting!
Would be interesting to see when those both were posted as it conflicts with all the info we have which is well in the public domain!
More stuff from the RECOVERY web site that phoenix41 mentioned earlier :
https://www.recoverytrial.net/for-site-staff/randomisation
"Inhaled interferon-beta1a (an antiviral drug; not currently in use in this trial)"
So it must be our treatment.
And also
https://www.recoverytrial.net/for-site-staff/site-staff
"... or usual care plus inhaled interferon (this latter arm has not started yet)"
Yet! Not sure quite what to make of it...
I would guess that it’s not in that trial because it’s already in another.
Link for what phoenix41 posted 18:13 :

Not really, they're all chasing any viable option.......I was just interested
I also think it's not.
https://www.nihr.ac.uk/covid-19/urgent-public-health-studies-covid-19.htm
Does it matter?
The recovery trial website interestingly lists the inhaled beta interferon as one suggested treatment option, but then states in brackets next to it, that its not in that trial. Its certainly on everyone's radar as the letter from the 4 CMO's asking for as many referrals for all tests as possible, also has it on a web link under "other priority studies" and it's there. Interested to know why it didnt fall into that trial since they listed it ? Likely that eg. trial criteria didn't fit etc etc , but Im interested to know if anyone has the facts ??
No, it's not.

It appears inhaled interferon is part of the RECOVERY trial.
Anyone seen a list of all the trials anywhere?
I’m not really, the market is closed after all. No I don’t mean the recovery trial. They talked about trials in phase ii and looking at drugs that were intended for another purpose. Sounded like us to me. Just saying.
Apologies AJ , you are correct.
I was typing as i was listening.
