30p was just a guestimate based on everyone selling at a loss if Covid doesn't work. You've got to remember 90% of PI's are traders...not many are investors...either way, the point is, upside 1000% , downside 50%....decent risk/reward for me, particularly with the information that's out there already...
It was as 230mil deal plus royalties
I think that is correct, and so AZN were probably left wondering who they were going to sell it to.
@SGD27
thanks. I have read it a few times, it clearly states that " AstraZeneca has decided to stop the Phase IIa trial for AZD9412 based on an interim analysis, where an overall very low number of reported severe exacerbation could make
primary endpoint conclusions difficult."
My understanding is that that there were not enough people with exacerbated conditions to fully understand the benefit of the treatment.
GLA
...exactly that number..
It won’t be 3mil to go, the maximum is 2.99 as of close Wednesday. And I would say it was unlikely to be ax’s rly that number but it can’t be more (as per RNS). What was the volume today anyone?
Gap at 45-46p
Hopefully it doesn't go to fill that tomorrow.
Need a little news now to help volume out RG. Still got 3m to go so need a few days of high volume
It absolutely will.
I'm not sure where your getting the 30p figure from.
The COPD market is estimated to have an economic cost of around 400 Billion per year!
A 400 Billion pound market.
If this drug is succesfull for COPD, even without covid19, I think the share price will be far higher than 30p.
With Covid, yes name your price, huge. But I'm not sure so sure COPD on it's own would be 30p, look at the price before Covid news was brought into the share price.
@hinukami I think this is what you were after? :

Indeed. Can someone link the post about astrazeneca collaboration for clarification. I'd rather not go back and search for it. please
Thanks
The Bloomberg article is good, except that this bit may get misinterpreted :
"The company previously partnered with AstraZeneca Plc in 2014 to study SNG001 in severe asthma, but the trial was halted two years later after an interim analysis showed a very low number of reported severe exacerbations."
It makes it sound like SNG001 caused exacerbations! (The problem with the trial was that not enough people in the trial were affected by the sort of exacerbations that SNG001 was designed to treat.)
Johnny..the broker rating is completely immaterial. If this works with Covid, you're talking multiple pounds..if it doesn't work with COvid, there's still COPD so 30p. No need to keep trying your subtle deramps and broker explanations...they mean diddly.
In or out...what's your risk appetite...simple as that
Good article.
That explains the Broker rating of 120 for anyone who was away to order their new Porsche. The broker is on the payroll.
