Ah thanks kevkan, got you. I’m with dusterhater on this because the subscription money will go to Synairgen so can live with a small loss in the day if it comes to that.
They are not experts at running trials. They have recognised this now. Yes they did a class hospital trial but I believe they took longer than planned to do this and left no stone unturned in the process, however they are not specialists in trials. The Phase 3 is now out of there hands and they can now focus on other things which is a class move. Why not allocate some of the 87million and direct that at the home trials? Now that would be a smart move!
I am staying positive here, whilst I am disapointed at the pace of the home trial I am still confident that news should land any day on a number of fronts. The Phase 3 is now out of Synairgens hands and because of the lack of enthusiam from them with regard to the publicity of the home trial, I am more than happy about that.
Ok 1.75 is 11p better than todays price but the swings on here are to massive so why the excitment?
I don't quite get the logic of buying the shares at 1.75. They will smash and grab the stop losses at some point before moving it back up so whats the point?
I have decided to buy my full allocation and will apply for additional shares - I dont even mind if the prevailing sp dips under the 175 as I am happy to help fund the company and get this treatment out there snd hopefully help save many lives .
Ps obviously I would prefer the sp not to go down anymore but if does it will only be very dhort lived imo
Sorry didn't explain that very well to take your last point "You could just withdraw the cash again" that is my point assuming that cash came from selling at 186 you would have to repurchase the shares you sold under normal market conditions
Yes got that but I assumed the apply for more is a back up to make sure they sell the allocation in case PIs dont take up
their entitlement
Kevkan, not sure that’s right. You can apply for more than your entitlement under the open offer but at £1.75 per share. You can’t be forced to buy at a higher price. If you don’t get some or all of any additional shares, you could just withdraw the cash again.
Guys
Word of caution here assuming the Mms are running true to form looking to fill their boots consider
Peg the price around 186 just enough to encourage sales to re-purchase at 175
Nailed on it will be oversubscribed and some
Allocate the shares
Serious amount of money left sat in PI accounts via oversubscription
Wack the share price up circa £2.00 plus PI s forced to re purchase at higher price suitably well shafted. Now don't get me wrong it's not I don't trust them BUT !!!!
AJ Bell also allows you to go back in and change the numbers at the moment. The excess is 'suggested' on a one excess per share owned, but you can of course apply for any number from 1 upwards.
The temptation is to forget that the shares might even be less than 175p on the open market by 27/28. Hope not!
Surely this will encourage the sp to stay above 175p otherwise everyone will be backing out of their allocation and buying on the open market instead?! I suppose at 1/37 it is negligible really, besides the excess shares.
I’ll decide about taking my share on the 27th depending what price we are at. Incase of any drops or drifts between now and then, I’ve got a nice pot ready for another top up @ or below 175
Oh yeah I see. It's not my account, I'm just sorting it for my old ma. Cheers!
AJ Bell was easy - just tick a box at the bottom of each of two messages, or change the figure for the excess shares.
The process was very simple on HL but not AJ Bell. Did you have to call them to process the placing shares / the excess shares?
I can't wait to buy them even though my last buy was at 151p , the company is in such a stronger position now.
I can't see much point in buying the excess shares myself. This can go South at the drop of a hat anytime they wish it to, so the difference between 1.86 and 1.75 is practically irelevent at the moment.
GKB - for my experience with AJ Bell above - she has zero cash in account so will need funding so this is not a driver in her case.
Equally I'm hastily shifting some cash ISA funds to Equity ISA with II as I'm maxed out this year and no cash in account to buy my entitlement!
AJ Bell are doing something rather strange with the entitlement and "excess" shares.
I've just been guiding my girlfriend through what she has to do, and she has the standard 1/37 entitlement in the account, PLUS nigh on double as a specific number of Excess shares she can subscribe to... (subject to scaling back of course), but I find it very bizarre they have specified an exact number of excess share that she COULD apply for.
Compare this to II I use, and the basis 1/37 are there, but the excess is blank for me to enter what I want (subject to scaling back of course).
AJ Bell - this does seem strange, but most certainly not due to being under subscribed as the deadline has not yet reached us so all still in play and I'm pretty certain they will not be be under, but rather over when the final whistle blows!
I don’t understand your point at all.
I haven’t yet taken up my open offer of 1/37. But I fully intend to take up the full amount. I think many others are in the same position.
We won’t know it is under-subscribed until after the deadline to accept. Until then, all we know is that some people haven’t yet clicked the accept button.
For my part I'm waiting until next week to take up the offer. I'd expect it to be heavily over subscribed, but some won't take any so there will be a few extra for everybody.

That is rude

Matml74.
AJB did not state that it was under subscribed. I was only trying to be informative and give my view of things.
As we speak SNG have not raised 7M so it is as we speak the open offer is undersubscribed but now we can all buy more at 175, then hopefully when the new allocation/application close date has passed SNG will have the required 7M.
I have re read my original post printed at 1847hrs and stand by it
I thank you for your response
It is not done first come first served it is generally by ballot. How can it be undersubscribed when the allocation date is still a week away. Obviously placings are something new for some of you
