Ggggg, it wasn't a journolist, it was a left wing blogger who reposts news stories. I doubt they know anything
In the states they are looking for the same pill based or at home nebuliser.
So imo the uk is looking for the same. The US know of nothing that is stand out right now, Synairgen is at forefront there and well ahead of the game. IMO all of this today is great news, if home trials are good and POC has been proved as we know, the autumn time frame would sit perfectly. Lets see
Synairgen is anti viral that can be taken at home. Richard over to you...who remembers those strange tweets from that journo the other week saying keep an eye on synairgen
Bojo promoting Pfizer pill antiviral (anti retroviral ) not ours .Big Pharma win again but yet to be proven
At what point do us PIs demand an update from the company? People on here saying RM is too busy etc and we should not contact him however we are all guessing about commercial deals and have no idea. I think we have a right to understand the plan of action.
The press should be asking the question though if we have good home trial data, why not use Synairgen.
Synairgen are supposedly being treated as a national priority by the NIHR. They have spoken previously about the close relationship they have with them. If home trial results are close to ready the government will be aware of them already.
Agreed, if something works and is proven and efficacy is good. It will be used and atleast will be an option. Unless over priced
I know they said pills but if the next trial results are positive-the govt will jump on board -if RM allows them
Doc,
These clowns are psychopaths, they have zero empathy and only think from financial gains.
Synnairgen should have been granted EUA by default- natural occurring protein against an untested synthetic.
It’s a no brainer
catching him would be easy, holding him down would be another
Slowly slowly catch the monkey or in this case Boris
Perfect storm, anti virals wanted! Alleluia!
Be fair, it's only a year late
Sadly no mention of interferon but The Telegraph have just published this:
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/04/20/covid-treatment-tablets-could-available-take-home-autumn/
A new “antivirals taskforce” is being created by the Government, similar to the vaccines taskforce which has had such success rolling out jabs across Britain.
Boris Johnson said: “The success of our vaccination programme has demonstrated what the UK can achieve when we bring together our brightest minds.
“Our new antivirals taskforce will seek to develop innovative treatments you can take at home to stop Covid-19 in its tracks.
“These could provide another vital defence against any future increase in infections and save more lives.”
While there has been much public discussion about Covid vaccines protecting the most vulnerable and stopping infection spread, advancements in treatments for coronavirus have received less media coverage.
The antivirals taskforce will identify and hand out innovative Covid-19 treatments with the hope of making them widely available before the flu season this winter.
Bojo "antiviral treatments can play an important part "
Better late than never
At fccn last Boris
