Same thing happens to me! Glad you're still in. I trimmed at around 710, added at 670 or so, trimmed again at 710, have the rest. I think £8 is possible, I think it's a 27p or so dividend this year or next so still 3% at those levels. I may sell some or more if it keeps going as that was in the original range of my price targets but happy with how it's done.
I bought some United Utilities today, not really very compelled at all but I had some fixed rate accounts that I've been getting 2% on mature and it's either 1% in a long term savings account now or something like that (4% yield currently). I have alot in other stocks of course but that's my "play it safe" money.
A lot of these posts may appear as they seem to disappear rather than post.
Yes still here.
The TU encouraged me to turn this into a longer term hold.....q is it going to get to 800?
Still in.
Still looking favourable.
You still here?
And still it’s just us haha
All looking good.
FY20 slightly ahead of expectations, confident of meeting 2021.
CaRe asset pipeline being built..
Looks like there should be more stability in the SP. understandable volatility in 2018-20 as the smart meters have switched to SMETS 2....but becoming more accepted by consumers and a big push on green energy to come...
yes likewise. we go again (again!)
Glad to see the previous upward path has resumed
bought back some at 6.66
Indeed, went on a call and bang it lost 10% in a couple of hours.
May well bounce back on Monday...
I’d have thought 8-9 but, not the expected end to the day I must say (!). Not pleased but I guess time to redeploy my sales from the other day....
It is just luck whether a bid materialises.....they are not all good news as some are defensive moves which often means the SP has under performed. The RNS says the bid is a premium of 50% over recent prices, but is only 8% more than the float price. KKR clearly thought that was sufficient to divest.....but maybe They are heavily invested in either the Blackrock or Goldman funds that are taking over with the Abu Dhabi SWF.
Fantasy takeover deals, SMS 950?
That's a very interesting bit of lateral thinking. Yeah shame I still don't own Calisen! I've had Cello and TalkTalk bid for while holding them this year so can't complain too much.
After less than a year, the remaining PE owners of calisen have cashed in today.
I never go round to buying them....preferred SMS.
Probably means SMS is undervalued today and also vulnerable if the founder wants to cash out at lower CGT rates......
Think I will hold these for a while and add when I can
I have been looking at the daily price graphs quite regularly over the last few weeks....what I observe is that the price tends to open lower and fall a bit in the morning, before turning positive in the afternoon....I can’t imagine it is US buyers, more the practice of the MMs to start with a wide spread and catch some replanned sales at a lower price.
Today’s gain was unexpected.
I only have 500 shares here as I consider it a high risk share....I watched it a couple of years ago as it sank from its highs and then bought and sold earlier this year....
I think this will go well ahead of the Next HY trading update...in early Feb.
I sold about 5% of my holding at £7 but otherwise have the rest. I am a trader to a degree but agreed with you it would go past previous levels this time. Fortunately we were right :)
This has now surpassed my target price to trade out, but is now demonstrating that I am not a trader as I think I will hold a little longer. The strong upward movement has not ended yet.
They should do.....as well as smart meters they are targeting carbon reduction (care) assets, this is infrastructure such as batteries.....
They sell the shovels to the miners....
Does anyone think this company could benefit from the shift towards green/electric energy. Smart meters could play an important role in grid management for the electricity. The EV sector is booming right now.
Indeed! Broadly share your thoughts though haha. I should have kept Calisen too
UKI2.0 and I seem to have a duopoly on this Board.
Are there any lurkers who would like to share their views?
It is a steep incline upwards.....still going, would not be surprised by 700 in the next week. Whether it will then retrace as quickly as it has risen or will keep on going to 750 we will have to see.
Calisen is also on the rise, so it does appear to be a sectoral thing with more to come.
Resisted temptation to sell so far this time....time will tell....
Hehe I think this is my 5th !
