Red that was the old application see RNS Number : 9881FAs 14 Jul 2023 07:00
"As reported last quarter, CRL submitted an application to CIoS for grant funds from CIoS's Shared Prosperity Fund to undertake the planned development of the Redmoor project. Subsequently, a request to provide additional information was received and replied to. Despite early enthusiasm showed by CIoS and others, CRL was recently informed that its application for a comprehensive grant had been unsuccessful in this form. In light of feedback from the Good Growth Team, supporting CIoS, CRL will be submitting a modified grant application for the round of applications with a 4 August 2023 deadline."
Sammy, "Let’s hope that this pending grant application doesn’t drag on over the summer". I posted a link to the document on post of 21 Mar 2024 15:25. It states, "The company had hoped to receive an answer during March 2023 but the assessment body is continuing to review applications with final review now expected during June." I think I saw something about September in there as well.
From my experience with other British companies, the people in power appear to reject. for any reason they can find. I guess if they say no to an application, their job lasts longer.
I'm not sure what the latest news means. We could have mining rights to every bit of land on the planet, it doesn't change anything. We don't mine anything outside Cobre. Tim at Cobre does a good job and CRL appear to have a bit about them as well. It's back to our weakest link....., sort it out quickly or start jogging!
So,what's going on at LCCM?
It’s a DUD and has been since day one.
Over the past 15 months JP has not blamed anybody else for this PEPR delay; unlike for the previous one we applied for, where he regularly blamed the Department for Energy and Mining every chance he got, therefore it’s highly likely that SML have told the DOE to delay its approval.
But if JP wants to put out a statement contradicting my opinion, by telling us the exact truth why it has not been approved, I will by all means apologise if I am wrong.
Yes, we've had positive news plus, interview regarding Redmoor but, it's not the key news we've all been waiting for. The market is most likely wanting to know that the grant is in the bag plus, plans for Redmoor development over next year or two. The really key news though has to be LCCM and as yet absolutely nothing. This is despite JP dropping clear hints that LCCM news would be arriving this quarter Q1. What a shambles!
Only two very small trades so far today and they're both sells! What a laugh.
You'd think that with Cu prices steadily rising with increasing Cu demand and interest rates around the world peaking and likely to start falling that a deal could now be done. So,what's going on at LCCM?
Let’s hope that this pending grant application doesn’t drag on over the summer. There will likely be a General Election in the UK in the autumn and probably a change of Government. Would a new Labour Government be as keen on grant funding mining initiatives in Cornwall? Maybe or maybe not.
Very low volumes here since the positive news flow last week, which would suggest that the market isn’t the slightest bit interested in SML.
Keep taking it sideways and prepare for an increase in volume, sort of morning.

Proactive interview
It was a great interview on Proactive yesterday and reassurance was given that no ‘raise’ was necessary to fund the mining licence as that would come from Cobre profits etc. Things look nicely poised, but for whatever reason, there was no significant interest in buying shares below 0.25p. Perhaps investors will be happier to buy in at a higher price when the permissions and grant funding are in place etc.
I've found this for anyone interested.

I've started researching again. I'm not sure if I'm becoming an optimist or, I'm badly in need of a psychiatrist! From what I can see, CRL have already had one grant application rejected but I guess another one is in and it's about ticking the boxes of reasons for the rejection of the first application. Maybe there is good reason for optimism. Does anyone know of information relating to the previous rejection? I can't find anything and don't know where to look?
It is where she is now in a mineral rights agreement.
Perhaps this is where kate is?

Now if only this would reach the mainstream media. Who has contacts? It is a Royal interest story.
Lupidog
blimey,i thought ide posted a blog not an interview
where did that come from?.....i didnt realise proactive had two bits of news, posted today
Quite an uplifting interview, without the usual spin. Larger area = more speculators = more positive sentiment. Cash for the "groundbreaking deal" seems to have been covered by Cobre. Expect increased newsflow. Any non LTH should be putting this on their radar and possibly flagged the observational interest of larger global miners. Suffering LTH may finally be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Lupidog
your wish,is my command.
ya dig.lol.
Thank you Trojan
Broome’s only rolled out from his cupboard when the company needs him to put a disingenuous corporate statement that a) loosely underpins the importance of his role at the company (which no one believes, anyway) and b) positively spinning the implied merits of waiting for another few years for Redmoor.
Strategic Minerals Chair Alan Broome said: "This development further underwrites the company's strategy to be part of, and benefit from, the resurgence of mining activity in the UK and directly contribute to the deliverability of the UK's Critical Minerals Strategy and Cornwall's ambition to be a world-class region for metal mining and geo resources."
How far have you got with that so far Alan Broome. We now have a larger area to mine but haven't done any mining so far and were not close to starting.
Colline, Exactly; Redmoor valued at nil by the market until that elusive third party funding for Redmoor - to which JP has alluded a few times - and the Cornwall Council grant are sealed and delivered to SML; until then, the share-price hovers in a holding pattern.
