Nick I had similar thoughts. Worries we may miss the boat as companies are riding this hard, however looks like we are the Worlds only real time to me, plus we have bolted down the accuracy for predictions/damage reports that no one else can come close to. GB and teams all over are in the game they have complete understanding over. I’m sitting back without FOMO of any type. Market looks wide open from my perspective. Good luck!!
It appears that at this current time it is a level playing field. I believe it is only a matter of days/weeks for real time Covid19 testing within wastewater to be accomplished.
SKIN/MWG and co are on this but definitely a race and rewards will be extremely high.
Easy Tiger .......... when I said primitive, I meant primitive to ours. The sensor is used to take a sample at a particular /optimal point in time. The sample once taken however has to still be taken to a lab for analysis. It is not 24/7 monitoring, nor can it detect Covid 19. If you are curious, the way it works is :-

IoT Sensing Units - Off-the-shelf water quality and dynamics sensors are integrated with a controller and packaged into a robust, self-powered IoT unit. Introduced into the network at strategic locations via manholes, these units collect continuous data and transmit it to a cloud-based analytics engine. Some configurations of the IoT unit include automatic water samplers, primed to collect physical samples when triggered by real-time pollution events.

I asked GB about Kando in early June, these were his replies. Things might have changed since then though.
Replying to
@Canny000Canny
http://Kando.eco is a great company, with really great tech. They can collect samples for testing and are working with researchers to detect SARS-CoV-2 at the laboratory. Beats jumping down a sewer
@KANDOsmartwater
The point is that not everyone has the full solution end-to-end. #Integumen collaborate with lots of others and if we were developing and working in Israel we would be working every day with Ido and the team at
@KANDOsmartwater
This is definitely not primitive. It appears that this actually mirrors what is being set to achieve from SKIN and partners. In fact in this pilot test in Israel they can identify the virus within wastewater through accurate testing.
It should be noted that this a big team that has come together through Ben Gurion University from all fields.
I suspect that there will be many companies across the globe putting contracts up for tender. This is not necessarily a bad thing as it shows a huge demand but it will be highly competitive.
An extract from this link:
'Kando, with its partners, utilized an interdisciplinary approach to develop an innovative method of monitoring cities’ wastewater in the sewer network upstream – from the municipal wastewater towards the city itself, utilizing a vast network of sensors in manholes, original algorithms and artificial intelligence. As a result of Kando’s experience measuring industrial and other waste streams in municipal sewage systems, researchers were able to accurately measure concentrations of the virus remnants and determine the approximate number of those suffering from infection by factoring in the necessary data – including industrial effluent which destroys the virus, and sewage flow, which dilutes the virus’ concentration. The researchers include world-renowned scientists at Ben Gurion University and the Technion who come from a variety of disciplines including virology, water engineering, medicine, epidemiology, biostatistics and public health policy. They were able to quantify and delineate this environmental and epidemiological data, allowing them to narrow down measurements to neighborhoods, and potentially streets.'
The article on the link below is worth a read. Whilst the methodology is primitive in comparison to what we are developing it does show the power and accuracy of the science to pinpoint Viruses :-

Loving GB’s tweets today. He’s giving big clues if you read between the lines that this company are in the right place at the right time with the right technology. . Very excited for the forthcoming news flow
