The most obvious locations to have the Laser scanner Testers would be in every local Pharmacy or chemist where you could also purchase the nebulizer and chips !!
Yeah I like it !! Yeah that is a massiv e game changer !! You could ask to see your girlfriends service history ! Hey even better Dating Websites you could have to present your FSH (Full Sevice History) to be accepted on their sites knowing that they will only ever be introducing punters who are reasonably clean ha ha ha ha ha plus update every once a while har ha ha ha ha h MASSIVE APPLICATIONS WHEEL INCLUDED LOL ,
And that APP on your phone that keeps a history of all your tests will be like a 'Personal Service History' much like a car service history which you can show new employers to confirm good health..
Ha Ha Ha and ******* Ha
oops typo optical reader/writer £14.39 LOL
In the AGM presentation they mentioned that all the kit for this project is already mass produced hell you can buy a brand new optical DVD reader /writer for a PC for £13.99
which can obviously read a video and sound track to screen so I bet they can mass produce the MICROTOX-BT laser scanners on a global scale say by Samsung , and make them subsidised by Governments via a World Health Organisation recommendation so that they would be cheap enough to have one in every household across the world and in third world countries have one in every village.
They don't multiplex yet, but they will, so you can test for a range of issues, providing it's in the exhalation...
When the lady scientist (apologise to her, forgot name) confirmed on the presentation that the list of 'cartridges' ie what could be tested , was almost infinite and interchangeable, I was like F**K this is HUGE!! (The Wheel sprung to mind)
it'll be worth government subsidising individuals costs to get the whole of normal society and associated businesses up and running again ....
... I nearly forgot, PUBS and CLUBS
It's really gonna be an absolutely mahoosive game changer ...
Wonder, yes anywhere where distancing is not an option, you test or show on the door. It might change activity patterns, loading more into one day, but that's ok
... its worth any of these buying a pile of scanners to enable fast, free-flow in/out etc ...
13thM - add ... theatres, cinemas, museums, tourist locations, beaches, sports events, music gigs and festivals .... Its a very long list where this could be a total game-changer.
But I could imagine a scenario where offices install scanning devices, test all people entering, leaving those people free to roam for 24H with their 24H health pass. But still, I would expect most businesses to invest in scanning devices to cater for all scenarios. You can enter if you have a validated 24H pass from today, or if you pass the breathalyzer test using their scanner.
That is where I was going with that.... first dates would be just be proving that you were disease free!!! And then proving that you had a chance of being around in a decade!!
Diego you put one at everyone location where you need to be tested, so train stations, work etc. When you get there you either blow and test, or you show the passport. So on the way to work you do it at the train station and it's good for the tube, the office, the way home etc. If you are going to the supermarket you probably stick with just a mask.
StarKnight, yes, but this is true only if the person has either (a) got their own scanning device at home , or (b) been to another venue that day which has already tested them with a scanner.
That's why I think the main model will be for businesses to buy scanners and test people on the door.
Surprised in the huge drop from the days high when buys outweighed sells and no real bad news only a good forward progressing rns.
Great tech and in real time,
Would definitely be beneficial in hospitals to test staff/ inpatients admitted to wards.
Cruise ships, Airports?
The potential is there.
Yes the beauty of this project is as you say a venue would not have to have a MICROTOX-BT laser scanner on the premises as they would just use a phone QR scanner on their mobile phone to check your 24hr Health pass is still valid !!
Yes it can also detect other diseases ( BACTERIAL AS WELL AS VIRAL ) Hey might even change casual sex (HIV , Gonorrhoea , Chlamydia Etc)
This is going to change the world my friends !! :-)
Yeah just imagine being able to invite as many guests as you like to a wedding all health checked and no masks !
Life could return to some kind of normality !!!
Agree Stick one in a marque in every GP surgery in the country. The potential of this is truly massive !!!
Good Luck to All
It will be very difficult for a better solution to be brought to market before Q1 2021. The government isn't going to come up with anything and any other solution would struggle with similar challenges re: practicality. Even a super-duper LFT that provides an accurate result in a few minutes (I hold AVCT too) will face the same problems in terms of fitting into the social infrastructure. The 24H health pass via a QR code is the best available solution it seems. So even if venues don't have one of the scanning machines, they could rely on your health pass QR code and scan your phone on the way into a venue (think bouncers doing this on the doors of nightclubs). Any LFT worth its salt would need a similar solution similar attached to it to work in the real world.
Look at airports now. For security reasons they scan and search everyone before you're allowed into the departures lounge. This scanning process would work in a very similar manner. People don't question being scanned (or thermally imaged) at an airport because they don't want to die. This is an extension of that thinking. The only difference is that the list of applicable testing venues would extend into many more industries.
And we have not even gone down the route of what other Biological markers (Disease/Viruses/etc) could be detected through this kind of breathalyser??
DYOR on that S**t Ha Ha
Stick one in a marque in every GP surgery in the country.
H&S requirement for companies where more than 6 people in same building. Appoint single person to admin with full Ppe
C) Private / govt run drop in centres in medium / large towns. Increase if prevalence is high
D) schools and universities
Agree, the 'peace of mind' element for some (elderly) would also be worth 'the price of the equipment' and as you pointed out earlier to have a family/social gathering or wedding etc knowing everyone was 'virus free' and 'Fine free' would be cool.
Anyway tomorrow is another day, the dust (information) will settle, the BBC will run an article, the SP will start to rise and opinions will change Ha Ha
"Very fair points. Need governments to fund testing units maybe?"
Maybe. But I'm hoping by the time this is ready, things will have improved and there will be other solutions for governments to focus on. I definitely wouldn't like to see them introduce mandatory testing or anything.
I am definitely a Sir and you're welcome !
Yes I can see insurance companies will want to jump on this and adopt it as a global standard ie if you do not have a 24hr digital health pass you cannot gain entrance to a cruise ship or other venue for example . Say you want to take your driving test you would have to show your digital health positive pass as would the driving instructor ! this would then assure each other of mutual negative result and avoid any kind of anxiety ! Also no insurance payable to the Instructor who has to give up[work and isolate for 14 days !! Another major benefit of the pass would be that if all in the same car or smar room in theory would not have to wear a mask but will still have to keep to social distance.
