'This is still a hard slog.'
On the money, Baz. Mine, processing up and running and making money, but getting optimal (PD's last 20% and Scottish gold) is harder and takes time. Happy New Year, R.
''Hopefully Scotgold are just playing it cool and steady for now .'' They are ripping into the best grades in the mine to try and steady the ship.If they do not get a vast improvement in productivety/profit there will be no phase 2. The monthly updates have reached their limit. You cant make a silk purse out of a sows ear. This is still a hard slog.
Pre-glacial permafrost at that!
Maybe just want to keep under the radar with shipment news and possible threat of hijack? We all know there are some rather, er, "unsavoury" characters hang about these message boards. Who know what ulterior motives some of them might have?
Cool?
We're stuck in the permafrost!
I hope you are right but the mystifying cessation of the well-received monthly updates suggests otherwise to me. If those most excellent news releases really were imminent, wouldn't they have known they could keep the updates going for another two or three months?
SMH too BP. Hopefully Scotgold are just playing it cool and steady for now with plenty going on in the background and a few most excellent imminent news releases to come to make the long and vastly extended wait worthwhile.
Thanks gents.
It was enquiring whether or not there is still enough time for SGZ and the jewellers to benefit from Christmas rather than for any purchase of mine.
Given that what happened last St Andrew's Day was already around 11 months late, missing Christmas 2021 is scarcely believable.
There was a clip from t H&I in one of the documentary episodes where the boss there was on about not missing a golden opportunity (not verbatim!)
Online catalogues can be updated quickly but the printed versions will presumably be being sent out about now to their customers. Will Scottish Gold feature?
Christmas 2022? SMH
Come on, Scotgold!
BlakeneyP ,
If you want some Scottish Gold Sheila Fleet will be casting some early November , no yellow gold left only White and Rose .
Scotgold have alluded that they will be looking at starting producing Scottish Gold this month. When they have enough to send off is another Question .It's not a quick process and like Rockhead has said ,takes about a month from order to delivery .
Process as below :
Concentrate goes over the shaking table and gold is collected ,
Smelting on site
Gold delivered to Edinburgh Assay Office
Gold sent off to be refined
Gold returned to Edinburgh Assay office
Gold sent to Jewellers
Jewellery made by Jewellers
Jewellery sent to Edinburgh Assay Office for Hallmarking
Jewellery Hallmarked ,Certificated and posted
So more like 2 months +. So it's unlikely for Christmas
Hi BP.
When I had a ring made by Sheila Fleet with Scottish gold from the BPT in 2017, it took a bit over a month for it to be made, sent to the Edinburgh assay office for hallmarking, sent back to SF for documentation and then sent to me. Hope that helps.
GLA, R.
Does anyone know by when the jewellers need to have taken delivery of our premium product in order for them to have the necessary time to create jewellery to go on sale for the Christmas present buying season.
I've no idea whether it takes days, weeks or months to make their premium products once they've got the gold in their workshops.
Are we going to make those deliveries?
How long would it take to post a photo on Twitter of some machinery doing its job or a pile of concentrate or anything in fact? 20 seconds max?
Come on, Scotgold!
Great find BlakeneyP! In particularly from 2 minutes 15. Ooh la la all right!!! Wow!!!!
Google Translate at the ready, chaps:
