Now that would be weird. Unlikely, but weird.
Maybe, Martin. Stranger things happen in this game.
Maybe they'll put a bid in for First Group lol.
Reduce div might have given Share Price more clarity at where we are and could win more contracts
But a rise of this magnitude to day,may be someone knows
Small Shareholders like us as always will be last to know
Reduced divvi announced & sp rises.not complaining though.
Seems to look that way, doesn't it.
Cut in div seems to be priced in before R N S
About further sp drop. It's recovering well.
Disappointed about the cut in divvi of course, but still.
But that said, at least we're not looking as grim as First Group which is standing at 79p and paying no dividend. That said, I think that there will be a further drop in our sp over the next few days, which in my view could be a good buy in opportunity.
"The Group remains in a good financial position and net debt has reduced in the year. Whilst the Board understands the importance of dividends to its shareholders, the Board also feels the dividend needs to be set at a level from which it can grow over time as well as being covered by normalised non-rail cash flows. Given these factors, the Board has taken the decision to rebase the dividend to 7.7p for the full year, a level we view as sustainable. We have maintained our expectation of adjusted earnings per share for 2018/19."
Not looking good at this time
Will be interesting to see how this plays out given that the last update stated that earnings were in line with expectations. Hopefully the City chaps are running the rule over them pre announcement and filling their boots before Thursday (wishful thinking).
Wonder what the divi will be...
finally climbing aboard the stagecoach?
I would say it depends what is put on offer. Anyone remember the CEO of Sainsbury's on tv the other week going on about the the in with Asda? All cool & professional in front of the camera, but singing "we're in the money" when he thought no one was looking or listening? I did think that was funny. I guess we all have our price.
Now just over 775m will somebody make bid Question is would Brian Sell
No idea mate. Timetable changes don't seem to have had much negative inpact for us that I have heard. No mention of any negativity on EMT West coast, or Virgin trains for that matter. Only bad publicity I have heard from is Northern Rail nausing up. Just wish I had some spare funds to add to my humble holding.
due soon...I wonder if people have had an inkling of what is to come? Great divi last year.
Could be time table mess Could be fule price increase but do know most Companies are working about 1yr in advance Most likely two Hedgefunds now Shorting this stock and we can be sure the are not on our side G L A
Massive fall today. Any ideas why?
No, it's a very quiet board is this one. Hope you're right about 1.70.
Stagecoach is an excellent transport management company but tragic when it comes to corporate relations and PR . The handling of the East Coast debacle by the CEO was risible. Never challenged the misnomer of "Nationalise", and never challenged the endless stream of bile directed at them from Westminster, principally from Chris Grayling In reality; the shambolic management of the East Coast system by HMG (Chris Grayling) led directly to the failure of Virgin/Stagecoach; their new shiny trains languished in sidings because Network Rail could not provide enough power to run them!!!
Hi all, i've not posted on here for a while but my opinion of this share is unchanged. I previously described this share as "a little gem" and my aim was a continuing long term hold. IMO the share price has further north to go and i certainly wouldn't rule out 170+ GLA Jed51
I'm staying in, that's for sure.
If we can hold ,Share price will keep rising G lA
Takeover speculation at Firstgroup has given the Stagecoach share price a real fillip recently. I believe the share is now trading at the top end of its current trading share price level.
